Wishes and dreams were two things Averill was always taught to not put too much stock in, but here she is, just days away from marrying her childhood crush. Everything is perfect—that is, if you don’t count the unwanted (but loved) houseguest, her delay in asking her father to give her away, the grueling task of unraveling the mystery behind Rhys’ letters, and the looming feeling that something is missing in her life. When it finally hits her just what it is, she knows she’ll have an uphill battle to get everyone on board. They’ll say it’s too soon, will say she’s insane, but she knows it’s what she wants. She’s just hoping Rhys will too.
D.B. James is an indie author of new adult romance and romantic suspense. In her spare time, she’s an avid reader. Colleen Hoover, Tarryn Fisher, KA Tucker, Linda Kage, Renee Carlino, Jennifer Armentrout, Sarah J Maas, and Samantha Young are a few of her obsessions. She is a mother to one spoiled rotten fur baby named Frasier. He’s a bicolored Persian cat who thinks he’s royalty and can’t be told otherwise. She’s a Michigan girl through and through but currently resides in sunny Florida. Sarcasm, Supernatural (team Sam!), Harry Potter, Riverdale and coffee are among her favorite things.
Averill is a beautiful story of happily ever after. The characters deserve all the beautiful things that happen in the book. If you think that love should win read this!!
Nothing makes me happier than when I get a bonus novella about a couple that I imprinted on from book 1, getting their HEA, so of course I was super happy. First let me say that you must read Rhys in order to be as happy as I am. Averill is the short, but sweet with a side of salty, story of the days leading up to Averill & Rhys' big day. And no wedding is complete without the emotional drama to go along with said big day, and this story had it in spades. D.B. James did a great job portraying a realistic wedding, especially with Averill's insecurities, which I think all brides tend to have going dealing with everything plus family & friends. Her talented writing style once again sucked me in completely, and I swear I devoured it in less than 45 minutes, and was still left with wanting even more. I'm hoping that a few of the colorful cast of secondaries will get their own stories soon, (hint hint), not to mention excited to see what this talented author comes out with next. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I love this little novella Averill just ties up this couples perfect happy ending you definitely need to read Rhys before so when you one click you should get them at the same time well worth it . It's interesting to read from Averills point of view and seeing the way she thinks and her own insecurities with the wedding fast approaching , best friends of the couple not getting along , and family she needs answers from but the one thing she is content with is the way she feels about her soon to be husband . Rhys is still hot will do anything for the heroine kind of missed being in his head but we get a little tease at the end witch had me close to tears . Averill and Rhys are still hot for each other and share the same protectiveness they don't want the other to be in any pain . I can't wait to read whats next in the series so excited to see a certain duo who have sexual tension every time their close to one another . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero = 10 heroine = 10 secondary characters = 10 Chemistry = 10 steam = 9 romance = 10 humor = 4 darkness level =4 enjoyment = 10 angst = 4 action = 4 mystery = 4 story line = 10 Story ending = 10 character development = 10 pacing = 10 Plot = 10 cover = 10 stars = 5 author = 10 would I recommend this book = yes while I recommend RHYS too would I re read this book = yes would I read future books by this author =yes
Averill is excited for the big day that she will become Mrs. Gallagher. It’s not without it’s problems though. Who says weddings always run smoothly?
In this novella we get to see Averill and Rhys on their way to wedded bliss and the journey they take after. It’s filled with some heart touching moments between Averill and her mother but life altering moments as well. I can’t wait to get Brants story because it is much needed to answer so many questions. I loved the sexy times between Tiger Lily and Reeses Pieces because those two are off the charts steamy!! I guess now I’ll have to patiently not so patiently wait for Brant.
This is a perfect conclusion to this series, and Rhys really needs to be read first. In this novella unanswered questions from the previous novel are revelled. It is interesting to read from Averill’s POV, and the insecurities she is experiencing as her wedding day approaches, and the happiness to be getting married to the love of her life. This is well written and flows seamlessly. I have been waiting for this story, and it was so worth the wait. Loved this story!
Visiting Averill and Rhys again was great. I loved being inside Averill's head and hearing things from her side. Their connection is strong and it shows through everything they do for each other. Their happily ever after is what dreams are made of and they deserve it after everything they've gone through. I definitely wasn't expecting the twist to come and look forward to seeing it from the other side.
I LOVED IT! Getting to see things from the POV of Averill - she really is a spit fire, the story was light (a good breather from the up and down in Rhys) A full on HEA. I can not wait for Brants story... I really do want to know why he - whoops no spoilers GO READ!
Loved this! It's the perfect finish to the series! It ties up all loose ends with Averill and Rhys.. Can't wait to find out about Brant and Tessa though
