I should have known my quest for vengeance would eventually be my downfall. I should have been more careful, more paranoid--but I'm glad I wasn't. Who knew that getting caught for my crimes would lead to so much happiness?
But joy can be fleeting...
It turns out, this battle is only just beginning. With ultimate power on the line, my faceless enemies will stop at nothing to capture me, dead or alive. I need to master my abilities, fast, or this could be the end for someone I care far too deeply about.
I'm Kit Davenport and this is going to be a bumpy flight.
What to do when you’re kidnapped and dragged into a sex slave trade, far away from your harem of five dazzling, gorgeous secret agents? You find some new contenders for the harem, of course. Kit knows how it’s done.
In Dragon’s Wing, Kit not only widens her horizons man-candy-wise (because why settle for five when you can have SIX?) but also starts turning them into supernatural shifter beings one by one. Let me just say, here there be DRAGONS!
You may be able to tell, this isn’t the most serious-minded of series. There is constant smut and gratuitous fight scenes and more villains that you can count, who are all secretly in love with Kit because she’s just so damn special. But it’s a hell of a good time. I’m 100% getting The Tiger’s Ambush when it releases early next year.
Thank you to the lovely MacHalo gals for getting me hooked! You guys are hell on my tbr 😉
Why hello - it's me again. Definitely loving this re-read of mine because I still love everyone (especially my favorite Austin <3). Now Kit is basically living every girls wildest dream in The Dragon's Wing because she has 6 amazing guys all fawning over her. They also have zero problems with sharing.. meanwhile one normal guy can't even share his side of fries with a friend.
Besides all of that, she is not lonely in any way shape or form. Girl is getting more action than a toilet seat at this point. Not even a bit jealous (okay I am) but she's getting hers and I'm proud of everything that is happening. Still feel bad that ya know.. someone wants her dead and shit - but nobody's perfect.
Overall, I need more of this sexual tension between Austin and Kit to go away and they just need to have a marathon of constant banging. CONSTANT BANGING. __________________________________________________________ OMG!
I freaking loved this book. Again, I should probably apologize for taking my sweet ass time writing this review but work has definitely got in the way.
The Dragon's Wing is a multiple POV, which I absolutely loved. I was so happy to read from Austin's POV in this book because honestly I'm still rooting for him to show her his true feelings and then tell all of the guys as well. I mean it's bound to happen since he's slipping here and there with words and kisses. I am so happy that Kit is breaking down his walls piece by piece.
Then there's also Wesley who I'm rooting for because I want to see her with him more often. I loved the little "dream" she had with him and I really want more.
Now in this book Kit get's kidnapped, drugged, and sold all within a handful of chapters. It was pretty intense. Then there was action and two of the guys that she saved shifting into dragons was pretty interesting and highly entertaining.
I liked how Vali was tied into the whole thing throughout the book; however, I don't really want him to join the Harem.. but then again, I'm not the writer here.
I love the boys. I love kit. I want more romance. I really want to see Kit and Austin take the next step. I really need the third book STAT.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I enjoyed bk1 and love the h's relationship with the guys including the fact that she doesn't take any BS from Austin.
My peeves have more to do with the plot. The writing seems to have certain recurring patterns: - h getting bashed up, shot, tortured, drugged, kidnapped, bombed you name it. - villains keep escaping again and again only to come back and trouble the h another day. Plus the no. of villains seems to keep rising. - the h was kickass in many ways but in order to get the h to she was repeatedly made to look incompetent, which didn't ring true.
So in many ways the plot and pacing was maintained at the cost of characterisation and plot devices I wasn't comfortable with or which were repetitive.
For bk3, I will wait to see the reviews before reading. Hopefully the focus will be more on the romance and the action plot will have a clear arc.
Well shit!!! Now I have to wait 2 months for the next book! This is why I hate starting series before they’re finished! And lol off to take a cold shower!
- Dragons - Fucking freaking dragons. - Did I tell you that I love dragons? - Austin is a cute asshole. - Kit has a serious libido. - Bye bye any doubt about this series being fantasy. - Cause, ya know, dragons. - Kit was once again kidnapped and everything, life sucks. - But we got to met Vali and is it hot here?? - Like really yummy in a murderous psychopatic way. - Then we have dragons, so i'm kind of happy. - And lots of hot stuff. - Fuckface Simon is still alive, wonder how. - And we can easily guess that the Alpha team is only composed of latent sups. - When is the next one out? - Cause next one we're gonna have some dragon AND tiger fun. - Shit gets serious. - Everybody is bad shit lunatic. - And really sucks at apologizing. - Kit spends a lot of fucking time healing herself and passing out. - But SEX MAKES IT ALL BETTER. - So ya know. - Na seriously, where is the next book?
2nd read Yes, this book is great! I love rereading this series, it's addicting and so much fun. The guys are all different and hot in their own ways. This book dives a lot more into the supernatural powers and we see some cool changes happen with the guys. Vali is also introduced and he is definitely one of my favorite guys of the series.
I listened to the book this time and I like the duet narration. Having a male narrator read all the guy's parts is nice and helped me engage more. I think I'll listen to all the books this time through.

4.5 stars Wow, this book really ramped up the smut and I am here for it! There were way more hookups and we still have three guys to go lol. The pacing was pretty good and I didn't feel bored at all. The action was well done and more supernatural elements came into play. I love seeing Kit's abilities develop and what that means for the guys. The addition of Vali was unexpected but I adore him already. Watching the guys interact with each other is a lot of fun, they get jealous but still have fun sharing Kit. I'm so excited to keep reading and see what else happens!
Another solid good book. This is book 2 in the Kit Davenport series and the story line continues on. In this book we get lots of action and steamy scenes.
I am looking forward to the next book so more answers can be revealed. I have a guess about River, well I am starting to think I have a clue about what is going on and I am looking forward to seeing if I am right.
I won't get into the plot but I do have a few things to say, and yes, I am voluntarily reading reverse harem books (and I enjoy them obviously) but a I just can't shake the "yeaaaaah riiiiight" feeling I get when I see 6 ripped guys being in love with one girl, and ALL of them are okay with sharing her. Whatever the reasons are for the attraction (real or magical I mean) it just feels weird and it will continue to feel weird through the entire series for me. I just can't believe neither of them are jealous enough to say they don't agree with the entire arrangement.
Kit is a very likable girl and that probably makes me forgive a lot and let's be honest, it's not like I am against her having A LOT of sex, but if this keeps up for another few books the girl will carry the sound of saloon doors flapping around with every step she takes. I feel sore by just the idea of it.
The one thing that's starting to annoy me a little bit are the different nicknames: Kitten, Kitty Kat, Vixen, Dragá, Princes and worst of all.. Sweetheart. That last one makes me want to vomit. I don't mind a sweet and shy guy, but Wesley started out as a characterI really liked and now I just roll my eyes every time Kit comments on how nice and sweet and caring he is. And with him suddenly becoming a bit bolder I'm guessing his turn to dip his pen in the ink pot is coming in the next book.
Binging this series as it seems to be a new guilty pleasure! I always find it harder to review sequels as it can be spoilery, but let's give it a go :) This book carries on from the first with Kit and her 5 love interests (+1 in this one!) as she explores her supernatural abilities. This one has far more sex in it than the first, and it does explore the harem aspect a lot more with more public actions, so if you're not comfortable with that, this isn't the series for you. Honestly, these are just compulsive reads, I like the range of love interests she has and how different they all are and their stages of relationship with Kit. Kit and Wesley progress a lot more in this one and I LOVED it! He's my favourite, I've now decided! Austin is also growing in my esteem, and he seemed to have the focus at the beginning. I do wish we'd seen more Lucy in this one though, I wonder if she even knows about Kit and the guys yet.
This series is so good and so addicting. A lot happens in this one, and we have dragons! I still love all the guys, especially Wesley (and River and Cole). I really liked the new character, Vali too. Kit finds herself being kidnapped (again), and its just a wild ride from there. Can't wait to read the next one!
Something about Tate’s writing style just sucks. me. in. I can’t stop reading this series! I liked this one even more than book one. Austin slooooowly warming up is my favorite thing. Still loving Cole and River. Wes being oh so sweet. Cal finally getting some action 😂 AND THERE WERE DRAGONS!! I’m also very interested in Vali! And Jonathan is starting to look very sus….. onto the next!
Well consider me hooked 100%. This series definitely is getting better and more interesting as it goes on. And with the addition of dragon's (if the title didn't give it away) I'm so looking forward to seeing what other types of shifters there are and what types of shifters her guys turn into. Not that I'm looking forward to the reason's they begin turning into shifters. This time around we actually added another guy to the harem which makes it six. Kit is kidnapped, shot, almost blown up and is even sold at an auction and forced to fight in an arena to the death. I mean if it's horrible and possible, it will or has happened to her. The new guy 'Vali' actually has a tie to the gang already and none is more shocked by that than Kit, he grew on me fast I must say. ;) We do find out more about Mr. Gregoric and Kit actually finds out more about her own powers of saving lives and how that changes a person. Hoping she learns more about her background and even her parentage in the next book. We are still left with many questions, as are the characters but I am happy to say Austin, the guy with a huge stick up his butt is finally warming to Kit. He's still not my favorite and his asshole persona is obviously a shield I can't wait to see shattered. Looking forward to the next installment though consider me concerned with the fourth book being named The Vipers Nest.....
I don't even know how to start... Clearly I love this series. I mean this is my third time reading it. But I can't get over how much it still draws me in. Kit grows and learns so much throughout the course of this book. She takes it all in stride and works through it. She doesn't let her overwhelm her. I could take some damn hints from this. But anywho, Kit... She's just the epitome of heroines. She is written so beautifully and honestly. She is someone you can relate to and possibly see yourself in. Or you can read about her and think "damn I want to be as confident as Kit". And that's exactly what happens with me. She is such an amazing character. I will never get over it... Ugh. Just so good. This series is amazeballs.

Second read July 2019
I seriously will never grow tired of this series. It is one of my all-time favorites!
It's nice to be reminded about subtle things I forgot about while reading this book. I remember the main storyline and such but I have forgotten about the little things. And the little things matter in this series just as much as the plot.
Reading this for the second time I'm catching the subtle hints that were thrown into the writing that someone wouldn't catch the first time around! And it's absolutely wonderful! I read a part that is foreshadowing on future parts of the book and/or series and I just smirk to myself like "HA! I know what this is hinting at!" Lol.
Kit has grown even more into herself throughout this book and it's so nice to see. Knowing where she started from and where she gets to by the end of this book is just a stunning transformation. And she just progresses throughout the entire series. It's great. Her character alone could keep you interested in the story just by how much she learns about her self and how much she grows page after page.
This is seriously one of my favorites! Maybe I'll buy the physical books? Who knows. But I love this series. So much. <3

First read February 2018
I loved the first book in this series. And I think this one blew that out of the water! So that's saying something! The plot has been phenomenal! I literally could not put this book down. I am in love with everything that has to do with this series and the characters.
The guys. Damn, them guys! I cannot choose which is my favorite. I just know I love them all. Even Vali. I have a ridiculous school girl crush on him. Like it's insane.
I am loving learning about Kit and the guy's pasts. It makes me love them even more. Knowing what they have been through to get to where they are. The character growth is insane. And with 6 male MCs and Kit. That's gotta be hard to have so much character growth. So kudos to TJ. :D
This story is ridiculous, but hey, it's actually super entertaining as well! :P
I started this series after I read Trickery and wanted to explore the 'Reverse Harem' genre a bit more. And for this series I have very similar thoughts: if you don't take this story too seriously this can actually be super fun. The story is action-packed, full of steamy scenes and overall a very quick read. Perfect to get out of a reading slump.
Wow what a book! I am so university these visits not even funny! Ugh I need more Austin in my life and the scene towards the end....HOT! I can't wait to read more of this series! Oh and I love the idea of Vali joining in! Amazing!
4.5 Stars MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT: I really liked this book. In fact, it came very close to being a five star read. All of the problems I had with the first installment were resolved. Everything in this book was perfect... except for the fact that it starts off with my least favorite trope in existence... the kidnapping trope. I can't even begin to tell you how annoyed I was when Kit was kidnapped. In fact, for a few seconds I sat the book down and weighed the pros and cons of continuing. THAT is how much I hate this trope people. Now that that is out of the way, let me start telling you about everything I loved about this book-or about everything that happened after Kit was done being kidnapped. Kit was able to do some interesting things in this book. For one, she learned how to heal. Given, we already knew that she might have this ability, but it was nice to see it come into fruition. Kit healed both Vali and Cole in this installment. I am calling it now (though it doesn't take a genius to figure it out), Kit will probably end up healing each of the guys in the group at some point and they will all be able to turn into their given tattoos. I can't wait! Though, I am unsure if River already has the ability or not since it has been strongly hinted that he does. As far as our newest harem member goes... I'm not complaining. I really liked Vali and I knew from the second he came on the page that he wasn't evil. I think he will spice things up a little between the other harem members and I am all here for it. Not often can an author shock me anymore with plot twists, but I will say that Tate James shocked me to my core in this book. When it was revealed that Cole and Vali were brothers, I sat down my laptop as gently as I could, then proceeded to scream "Holy shit" about twenty times. I, IN NO WAY saw that one coming, and at the same time, there was plenty of foreshadowing. That was great writing on Tate James's part and I commend her for it because I certainly didn't see it until the plot twist was revealed. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It definitely could have been a five star read if it weren't for the use of the kidnapping trope. I will be continuing the series and I can't wait to begin reading, The Tiger’s Ambush.
This book was just as good as the first IMO so that means I'm in love. It's official, this series has become one of my favorite so far this year and I'm a little bit scared that this feeling might change the more I keep reading. I've read a few reviews for the rest of the series and I had the impression I might get a little bit disappointed if I expect it to be as good as the first two? Idk. But no matter, I'll read the entire series and see for myself what I think.
I've already picked up the third book, that's how much I'm addicted ;). I need my dose of Kit and the guys! Btw, this series has some major sexy scenes. It's kind of my guilty pleasure, haha.
One of the moments I loved the most was at the very beginning. Also, about the plot:
After the revelations in The Vixen's Lead, Kit and her guys are more desperate for answers than ever. Unfortunately, the lead Mr. Gregoric left for them has lead nowhere. To make matters worse, Sergei kidnaps Kit and sells her to the Onyx Auction, part of his mafia-sex trafficking scheme. When Kit meets her new owner, she doesn't know whether she can trust the intoxicating yet dangerous man.
I loved this addition to the series. While we don't get a lot of information about why Kit has the powers she has, we do see them develop even further. I loved seeing Kit expand her healing ability and it will definitely have major implications for the rest of the series.
In the first book, Kit didn't have much of a relationship with the guys besides Caleb. In The Dragon's Wing, we see that bond deepen between Kit and all five cough six members of her harem. I loved getting to know the guys more and there was some absolutely awesome smut in this installment. The emotional connection between the guys and Kit was definitely altered after her kidnapping.
The ending was explosive and full of revelations. I think we're about to get many answers about Kit, her life and her powers.
It feels like somewhere between books 1 and 2, Kit got dumber. Like the sex melted her brain or something. This plot was literally driven by her being stupid repeatedly.
Also, for the top team of agents at Omega Group, these people are all fucking stupid. I'm not putting this in spoiler tags because it's speculation, not confirmed by the book, but it feels so fucking obvious and not a single brilliant "agent" has put it together yet.
Omega Group codenames them with animal names. We learned the guys' names in book 1. So, in book 1, we're told magic was drained from the world but Kit's mom had the ability to restore it in people, so if they were actually shapeshifters (unknown to themselves, because of the big spell wiping that from memory and with the magic drain they don't shift) when she heals them they are shifters again. We're told that's known by a select few, and there are several groups competing to control the power - basically, experimenting to capitalize on those shifters. That makes Kit and her mom a prize - control the entity that can restore the shifters, control the shifter. Right?
So Omega Group, with their clever animal codenames, which seem well suited to people's personalities. Kit starts healing people and woo, surprise, they turn into those animals.
This is my surprised face. Really.
None of these geniuses put together the obvious fact that Omega knows not only all about this, but has a way to determine which animal they'd be if they were restored. Or how about the sketchy fact that the head of this organization magically ended up adopting Kit at age 13.
Oh look. It's my surprised face again.
Aside from getting dumber, Kit also became a bit of a damsel. Always needing rescue. Doing what some random asshole she doesn't know says - she takes orders from N like it's ingrained in her, in a life or death situation when she has zero reason to trust him (especially since he's the one who dropped her into the life or death situation with no warning). She allows one stupid bitch to do her damned best to kill her, and doesn't make the stupid bitch pay for it. Nor does she make the stupid old bitch who did her best to kill Kit and her guys pay for it. Nope, she just lets them both walk away. Stupid, spineless, pathetic damsel.
Where is the awesome fiesty character I met in book 1? I loved her!
This book. What to say about this book? I loved it. I can say that. I don’t want to talk about it too much because I don’t want to give spoilers away. For one thing, we learn a little more about the mythology. We have another story arc that took off (not sure if it’s actually over, but that’s a possibility. It was a story arc to move the character development along I think. It worked but I can’t tell if it’ll be revisited).
Kit as a character is fun as heck - she’s strong, doesn’t necessarily make good decisions, and she doesn’t back down from a challenge (you know, unless she has to. She just doesn’t let anyone push her around). I want to know how the new addition will fit into her mix - not to mention the very nice coincidence that I may or may not have called but appreciate anyway cause it was pretty awesome (you’ll know it when you see it). We don’t see Lucy much - she’s recovering so character-wise it makes sense, but I like her and hope she makes more of an appearance in the next book.
Tate puts in some subtle hints as to the supernatural tendencies that lead to some REALLY FUN speculation and theories. All in all, Tate’s become a one-click author for me and I’m all in. If you weren’t a fan of the first book, I wouldn’t recommend this one, but I hope people enjoy it as much as I did.
I don't know what I expected from the second book, that it definitely wasn't this. I loved every minute of it! “This was exposed, vulnerable, raw, and it was majorly turning me on.” The quote is actually talking about one of their sexual scenes, but I think it also describes the book pretty well. I liked the unexpected direction the story took and the addition of characters. All in all, I'm happy to say that the second book was just as great as the first one! I can only hope that the next book (which I hope comes out really soon) will be just a good.
So this series is definitely all about the guys, Kit is still meh in this one, but it ALMOST hit 4 stars for me simply due to Cole, his brother and DRAGONS!
Thank you Sharon J for recommending this series to me. This was an incredible read. The story got even better than the last book. I really loved the story from beginning to end. Kit is still one of my favourite heroines. She is really badass. I wish I could be her because she gets all these boys. I still can’t chose who is my favourite boy. I also loved Vali and learning about him was great. The intimate scenes were as hot as ever. There was action, paintball, and a whole lot of other stuff that makes me happy that I started this series. The ending was amazing. I need to read book 3 right now. Overall, an amazing read.
