I’m pledged--as every shifter is--to keeping our kind and its history a secret.

Because of my role as head ranger at Acadia National Park, as well as the Alpha of my clan, I have the responsibility of making sure no outsiders know about the real reason why our park came to be. Hannah, a journalist who's been snooping around doing research for an exposé, is most definitely an outsider, no matter how much the ursine part of my brain keeps insisting that she should belong to me.

She should be mine. Except she’s not a bear--she’s not any kind of shifter. How could I want her? Is it possible that a human...could be my mate?

And how will I keep her from unraveling the mystery that has kept us safe from the public eye for generations?

Ranger Knox is a standalone 172 page werebear romance novella with ultra-hot love scenes and explicit language written for readers age 18 and over. The Kindle edition contains additional bonuses for your reading pleasure.

I enjoy this type of shifter / paranormal stories and it was easy to like the H & h. Both are strong in their own way, whether the goal is to pursue a career or protect their clan. I have often wandered what it would be like to see someone and know they were meant to be yours. Maybe if we listened to our own senses more it would help, as I met and married my spouse of 25+ years exactly 3 months after our first date. Anyway back to the story.

This does contain paranormal shifting, adult language, adult intimate scenes and violence. If you are sensitive to these types of topics, then this may not be the book for you.

This story focuses on Hannah Grant and Knox Bernard. Hannah is a reporter for the New World Magazine, but is actively pursuing a promotion to a full-time editorial position. Then about 1 month ago she came across some older articles discussing how the National Park Service was created for some type of nefarious purpose. Some stated that the parks were being used to store gold, oil, or some other precious metals, while others speculated how the land was being used to conduct secret ceremonies for Free Masons or occult groups. Hannah wanted to continue to investigate so she could expose the controversial history to place herself in better standing for the editors position, so when she was ordered to take her vacation time or lose it, she decided there was no time like the present to start her onsite investigation.

Knox is a Forest Ranger / Administrator for the Acadia National Park. He is also the Alpha Bear of the Acadia pack. They have been having a few complaints about four rogue bears that checked into the park, but so far they didn't have anything they could expel them for. Shawn was their Alpha and so far they had been careful.

Hannah arrived in town and decided to go to the park to look around after checking into the local Air BNB. She took out her 1-week pass she purchased online and hot Park Ranger told her that although the park was open 24 / 7, the Visitors Center was closed for the day. He also asked that she take the number down to call and let him know if she would be staying late, so they didn't send out a search party. Hannah programmed his number and pulled on through so she could park in the lot and get started down one of the walking trails.

Hannah had brought her flashlight with her and she was walking on the trail enjoying how truly beautiful it was there, especially when the wind ruffled through the leaves. Then she just felt something change in the air ... it felt like someone was following and watching her. Now the sounds of the leaves and wind felt more eerie than comforting, so Hannah starts to walk a little faster. She had just gotten to the point where she could almost convince herself that it was her imagination, when she heard a stick breaking followed by what sounded like a growl ... ? Hannah was still trying to convince herself that it was just some type of wildlife, but she breaks into a jog. The flashlight is moving up, down and in pretty much all directions as she is jogging but it did seem like it was giving her enough light to see the path but not really anything else.

The noises are continuing, getting louder and are sounding closer. So as much as she continues to try and calm herself with the thought of it being an animal, she knows it is not. Hannah at this point can't stop herself from taking off into the fastest run she can toward the end of the trail that brings her to the parking lot ... and her car!

Hannah is almost at the end of it when she hears "Get her!" followed by really heavy foot falls. She stumbles and falls onto the damp ground, struggling to get on her feet so she has at least a chance to make it back to her car. All she can think about is what made her come out here and decide to walk into the woods alone.

Knox receives a mental message from Cassidy Powers, one of the members of his pack. It came through almost sounding like a shout that THE ROGUES WERE CHASING A VISITOR.

Cassidy was on trail duty and Knox could tell that she was by one of the easiest trails. Knox and the rest of his pack had been trying to keep an eye on the four bear shifters that arrived during last month's full moon. They had caused a little trouble here and there but nothing that was enough that Knox could kick them out. This is because Acadia National Park is a neutral zone for all shifters to be able to come together in a remote section, out of the eyes of humans, and enjoy the animal side of themselves. Without National Parks to preserve nature for everyone, there wouldn't be anywhere for some shifters, especially those that lived in cities, to go.

Knox had started toward the trail when he knew where Cassidy was stationed when she spotted them. When he gets to the right area, he slows down some to not only catch his breath a little, but to see if he could hear where they were. Then he sees one running and his heart rate increases as he thinks about what he could do if he was able to call them out. As Know is having those thoughts, he starts to smell the human female and four other bears as they are chasing after her. If they are really chasing a human female, in their human form no less, then this becomes a bigger problem that he will have to address carefully. The only way it could be worse was if the human was the one that called him last week asking questions about the formation of the National Park Service (NPS).

Knox catches up and they are almost to the end of the trail at the edge of the parking lot. They don't hear him arrive, partly because they are not part of his pack and couldn't feel his presence or communicate. Knox sees the female with the wonderful scent in a defensive stance, kicking, punching, and even biting when they touch her; she is yelling at them saying they aren't going to get their hands on anything of hers without a fight. She is feisty with a lot of spirit and his bear is saying she should be with them.

Then Shawn speaks up and tells them to just knock her out and they will deal with her at their campsite. The one closest to her questions that because he was expecting a quick purse snatching, not kidnapping. Then one of the other two starts talking about how it was a change of plan because she was so hot.

I am going to stop there so I don't accidentally provide any spoilers or twists.

Of all the nerve, HR is making Hannah take a vacation. Something she rarely does, and is being forced to otherwise she loses all that time. She is on the verge of something big, and as a reporter that is most important. So HR doing this to her right now, unexcusable...but it doesn't mean while she is out of the office she can't investigate a little story all on her own, now does it?!

Things have thankfully been quiet lately here at Acadia National Park. That is great news for Ranger Knox. But when there is something that happens on the very same day a reporter happens to be in his park, that is nothing Knox wants to deal with or wants at all. He comes to the rescue after hearing a scream and his inner bear knows who she is....HIS.

Knox finds out the woman he rescued is a reporter. The last thing needed is to dirty up his spotless record of being the alpha of his pack and Administrator of this park. This place is a safe haven for his kind - shifters. Sacred, that is what this place is to him and his shifter brothers and sisters. When four rogue young bear shifters jeopardize that, he needs to find the solution to keeping the human woman reporter away from the secrets of this place and get rid of these rogue dirtbags once and for all.

Trying to run interference from Hannah finding out about the secrets hidden in this park was not easy but certainly not difficult at all. He asks her to come back and he would show her around. Easy enough, and then it starts from here. His bear is not minding spending time with her, it is peaceful, like it was meant to be. The attraction is felt between both Hannah and Knox right off the bat. Both keep telling themselves work comes first, but always end up not listening to their own advice. They have an awesome chemistry and it will not be ignored.

A strange woman talking about things that aren't right that happen in this park at the time of the full moon has Hannah questioning in a different angle. The full moon is upon them, Hannah goes out into the woods at night alone. The Council have made a decision about the four rogue bears and their punishment. Now the race is on. A scream from Hannah starts the ball rolling faster. Things being pieced together by Hannah start to come to light, and now she has proof. Not wanting to have this be the end, Knox handles the task at hand and talks to Hannah.

Their discussion about the events happening and about them being together bring them to a mutual understanding and all three of them, the man and his shifter as well as Hannah, are going to see where this leads, a good start to their happy ending.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

Ranger Knox begins a series with an interesting premise. Were our National Parks actually hiding some very sacred, uncharted lands solely for shifter purposes? While Hannah doesn’t know about shifters, she does have a nose for scenting out an interesting story, one that could just cement her promotion if she plays this out just right. She’s been given an enforced vacation command of either use it or lose it – so she’s using it to do some research at the location of what might well be a very big story. She’s stepping into trouble blindly, believing she knows what is going on when she hasn’t a single clue. Before this is over Hannah will find herself in danger – and having to make a decision of a lifetime… write the story that will make her career or drop the story for the sake of the man, the bear shifter she’s come to love. Tough choice for Hannah because both are important to her but only one can win this time.

Knox has his hands full and it’s going to get even more complicated. As the alpha of his clan he has to keep his people safe, that includes visiting shifters to the park and non-shifters as well. Hannah is his mate, he knows it, doesn’t want to really believe it because she’s human and doing her best to out shifters for her story…and she seems to have attracted the rogue shifters who are up to no good in the park as well. Knox has to find a way to keep his mate safe, explain what he is and what the park represents to the shifter nations all while convincing her that there is no story here. Right, that’s not going to be easy.

Ranger Knox is an intense, short shifter romance that captures the imagination. There are bonus books attached to this story, so the actual Ranger Knox story stops rather early on, the rest are bonus books. Hannah is… something. Stubborn, suspicious, determined and never gives up on a goal. She’ll make a great alpha’s mate, but she certainly runs Knox in circles before they get to that point. I enjoyed this fast paced romance and I’m looking forward to continuing the series. I’d recommend this one for any Shifter or Paranormal Romance reader.

Forced by HR to take vacation time or lose it, Hannah decided to use the time working on an expose of the controversial history of the National Park Service for New World magazine. It would hopefully help toward her full-time editorial position goals. She headed to Bar Harbor, a small tourist town outside of Maine’s Acadia National Park, where she could begin to plan her research on the first established National park. Evening was approaching, but she still had some daylight to explore the trails.

Unfortunately for Hannah, there are rogue shifters in the park. She felt she was being watched and, as she decides to go back, a branch snaps behind her. As she picks up her speed on the trail, a voice yells, “Get her!” She turns to make a stand and kicks and fights off the four men who want to steal her purse – or worse -- as Park Ranger Knox arrives and growls in his alpha voice for them to leave. Eventually they do so but not agreeably. She makes an appointment with Ranger Knox for the following afternoon to get a tour and interview him.

Hannah feels like Knox is hiding something, but she can’t figure what it might be. One of the local people, a woman who seemed a little crazy, told her something was going on – and she should check it out at the full moon to discover the secret. In the meantime, the captured rogue bears escaped and murdered two of the elderly bears in Knox’s clan. They were recaptured and their crimes would be judged and punishment rendered when the clans came together under the full moon. Would Hannah get caught in the middle of all the shifter activity? Would she find out that Knox was not only a bear shifter, but quite possibly her mate?

This was a very well written book. The clans had lived in the parklands where they could run free in their animal form. They had to preserve that secret, and that wasn’t always easy. Grab yourself a copy of this book and see how the problems are resolved. Will Hannah protect their secrets? Or will she choose her career advancement over life with her potential mate? "I received a free copy from the author. I had the option of reviewing or not."

Hannah Grant works for New World magazine. She's using some "Use it or Lose it!" time to research a pet idea. One that will really get her notice at a bigger publication.
And it's a good thing this isn't a teenager slasher film, otherwise, she would have been the first victim. The one who flashes her top and then is killed, just before the titles roll.

She goes out walking the Acadia National Park at night. By herself!
Naturally, she's followed and attacked, unnaturally by a gang of shifters.
Cue the rescue by Ranger Know Bernard, who also happens to be the local Alpha.
Few things can get the juices running faster than a good rescue and now our couple is all set to be thinking of only one thing - each other!
Next day, he takes her for a hike. She's hunting for info for her story.
They share - a lunch - a second attack - each other!

Hannah is still marveling over what had to have been the BEST Sex Ever when she's approached by a local.
A woman warning Hannah that Strange things happen come the Full Moon.
And in 2 days it will be...
Is this the hook she needs for her story? Is Knox part of the mystery?
Are all of the locals...? Will the bear clan be revealed?

I'll admit it, I'm familiar enough with vampires and werewolves as shifters but really hadn't looked into other forms.
Certainly, by the time this story is through you'll have met any number of shifters.
I'm not sure if it will turn into one of my favorite flavors, but this is a fun read.
I'm kind of wishing there was a way to do 4 1/2 stars, but not enough to ding a good author for
Hannah and Knox are wonderful together.
And when they're together... damn forest just might burn down from their heat!

I got this book and really didn't know if I was going to like it,,, I havent read a lot of shifters books,,, but I got hooked into this one and couldn't put it down,,,,

This story is about a journalist who was forced to take a vacation, or lose her time,,, (and nobody should do that,,, LOL),,, ANYWAY,,, Hannah Grant decides to write a piece on the history of the National Parks and while she is walking around at dusk she hears footsteps behind her and thinks its just her imagination, and the further she gets, the more she thinks she hears, until she can't deny it anymore and starts running to her vehicle and trips and falls as these footsteps were getting closer,,,,,, and then, out if nowhere, come Ranger Knox Bernard,,,, just in time to tell these men to go away,,,,,,

Well,,,,, Ranger Knox happens to have met Hannah as she met at the entrance to the park,,,,,and thought right away that he was to have Hannah to himself,,, but, that's impossible, she will never understand his world,,,,, these men that were after Hannah have been a thorn in his park for awhile, unable to do anything about them, even as the alpha,,, but these men were shifters, just like Knox,,, a black bear shifter,,,,,,

Now is where I say, I would TOTALLY recommend you getting this book,,,, you won't be able to put it down,,,, and find out what Hannah thinks of Knox,,, especially after their "picnic" they had,,,, alone, on the green grass,,,, (it was a pretty hot "picnic",,,,LOL),,,, or that was dessert,,,, Im not sure,,, grab this book,,,, you won't be sorry

Hannah is a reporter who id determined to get ahead. Even when she is forced to go on vacation, she still chooses to investigate a possible story. She had heard rumors that the founding of the National Park system had some mysterious ulterior motives. In researching the founders, she found that a few had no official records save that they helps get the park started. Hannah decides to go to the oldest park Acadia to discover if there really was a mystery. She finds a Bnb and gets a week pass to the park. Her first visit to the park is eventful. First she flirts with a sexy park ranger and then gets accosted by four jerks. Thankfully Ranger Knox comes to her rescue.
Ranger Knox is a park ranger and the alpha bear shifter. Acadia is a neutral shifting ground and his job is to keep the peace and make sure no shifter exposes themselves to humans. The four men who attack Hannah are out of town shifters who have been hanging around. After their attack on a human, he has an excuse to get rid of them but first he has a bigger problem. He is very attracted to Hannah and his bear wants her but his duty is to protect the existence of shifters and her story could destroy them. Some shifters were behind the founding of the National Parks to preserve safe places for shifters to change and hunt. Somehow he has to keep Hannah from finding out the truth.
This is a good story with some twists and turns. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

From the first page, the story slowly draws you in until you are holding your breathe trying to figure out which way things will go. But I could be biased since I have loved anything written for the Cadia series...and this is like honey to a bear. (heehee) We meet Hannah Grant, a journalist doing an article on national forests. As she pulls into the Arcadia National Park, she meets Ranger Knox. At this point, things start to get adrenaline charged. Hannah is chased by a group of "men" who seem intent on robbing her. At this point, Knox finds them and orders them away (being an alpha that is a great gift to have) but as he finds out Hannah occupation, he is torn between loving the smell of her ("like lavendar honey") and the fact that as a journalist she can detail this incident to the detriment of the park. One scene in particular I loved, Knox has offered to give Hannah a leg rub and her thought was "what could possibly go wrong!".
So we have an instant attraction between Hannah and Knox, four rogue bears who are up to no good whatsoever and the full moon coming up.
Fantastic book. Loved the storyline and the excitement both from the chase scenes and the love scenes.
Great read!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Story of a Park Ranger, Knox and a reporter, Hannah, doing a story on the origins of Acadia National Park in Maine. She is looking into conspiracy theorist claims that the Park has dubious beginnings. Knox is a bear shifter and on the lookout for four rogue bears who don't want to follow the park rules. There are several species of shifters in residence at the Park and most cause not trouble. On her first day of looking at the maps and deciding her itinerary, Hannah is accosted by the four who are men at the time. Know is there to help her and chases them off. She makes an appointment with Knox to get a tour and interview. They are both attracted to each other and go out, eventually having hot sex. The four bears continue making trouble, eventually killing two older Park Rangers so a conclave of shifters meets to decide what to do with them. No spoilers on the story, but the bears do seem to be attracted to Hannah and go after her again...and she sees Knox change. You will have to read the story to see if she can handle what she saw and if a human and werebear can stay together.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Hannah is one industrious and strong minded woman and she just doesn't want to take her holiday leave from her job as a reporter. But she reluctantly goes to the Acadia National Park and is enjoying the natural beauty all around her when she needs rescuing asap. Her screams are heard by hunky Head Ranger Knox, also Alpha of his clan of bear shifters whose job it is to keep his kind a secret from the world. Knox also knows when he hears the woman's screams that she should belong to him and is his fated mate. But how is this possible as she isn't even a shifter of any kind? Also as a reporter he will have to keep his secret from her. Meg Ripley has created the start of a great series in this episode I liked the storyline and the way her characters interacted with one another and can possibly see some of the secondary characters who may end up with their own HEA's. The writing was fast paced and flowed so that I didn't realise that I had read so much. Not a book that you will want to put down.
Definitely recommended!

This is a sexy paranormal shifter story. Ranger Knox is the Alpha of his best clan when beautiful Hannah stops and says she's going for a hike in the park ,he thinks it's fine but something about this beautiful human is calling to his bear. When he senses danger he saved her from four men that happen to be rouge shifters. As he helps Hannah back to her car he asks if she would like to join a hike with him tomorrow. She agrees, she tells him she's a journalist writing a story ion the park he's worried she can't find out about shifters if she writes about their secret it could bring trouble. Hannah feels drawn to ranger Knox like a magnetic pull .She has never abstracted to a man like this before. Agent Knox is so drawn to Hannah that his bear wants to claim her. When Hannah sneaks into the forest, she gets hunted by rouge bears, can Knox save Hannah? Will Hannah keep their secret? Will she realize that she's supposed to be with ranger Knox? This story has hot sex, romance, danger and suspense. I can hardly wait to see what's next by this amazing author. I voluntarily decided to review this advanced reader copy because it's a great romance story.

A fairly well-written story about a strong journalist, who tries to find out about the founders of national parks in the US and a park ranger bear shifter, trying his best to stop her from finding the truth. Of course, there has to be more and in this story there are some rogue bear shifters, who make his life difficult, as they try to attack the jounalist.
It was an interesting read, and the dilemma of Knox as the alpha and protector of the national park and his clan, clashing with the mating call and the indecision of if and how he should tell his human mate who he is, was well described and believable. There could be a little more insight on Hannah, the journalist, there is an imbalance in the description, and less insight into her feelings towards the situation with Knox, especially after she knows who he is.

Ranger Knox is a hot, alpha werebear that is head Ranger at Acadia National Park. It's his job to protect the secrets of his clan, and those of all the other shifters. What will he do when a journalist starts nosing around and digging a little too deep?

Hanna is on a forced vacation from work. She decides to make it a working vacation. She is planning to research some discrepancies she has uncovered about National Parks. She didn't count on a hot, sexy Ranger distracting her from her work. When he starts acting a little strange, will she ignore it or, or dig a little deeper to see if he his hiding something?

This book was so easy to read. I loved the characters, and the story line itself was very good. It has suspense, chemistry, humor, steamy sex and so much more. It grabbed me and pulled me in right from the beginning.

Hannah is a reporter, who loves her job so much that she is reluctant to take a holiday but who eventually decides to go to Acadia National Park. It's not long after arriving, that our heroine ends up in peril and her screams are heard by the local Head Ranger, Knox. Now Knox is not your average ranger. Ohhh no, he's also alpha to his clan of bear shifters and entrusted to ensure that their secret existence is kept quiet. Knox is compelled to investigate and rushes to find Hannah who, although she's not a shifter, is his fated mate. Will our couple overcome their differences and forge a bond of love?

This book was well written, had strong characters with enough backstory to keep me hooked and flowed seamlessly, so much so that it was easy to read half of it before realising. It will be interesting to see if other characters get their own book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Min loves insects and working for the CDC is her dream job. But when she's chosen for a special assignment for a sub-department, shown some strange satellite film with people turning into bears, sees another film of a giant bear killing a human, then is asked to let loose some special vaccine-releasing ticks in Maine to help the shifters, Min is a bit overwhelmed with disbelief and excitement. Is any of this true? Her first night in Maine she meets Ramon, who has just autopsied the infected bear shifter that killed the woman on film. WE know Ramon and his friends are bear shifters but Min doesn't, yet. She just sees a hot, gorgeous man she wants to get to know better. But Ramon was bitten or stung by something at the end of the autopsy. What could that mean?? Great story. Lots of tension and concern. Enjoy.

This is a really sweet and entertaining book, that I enjoyed to read very much.
The characters Hannah and Knox is easy to relate with and are very likable, but one of the reasons I chose to "only" give the book three stars are because you never really get to know the lead characters. There are no bag ground story on them at all, which made me feel I didn't get to know them and I missed that, there was also some other things that bothered me, but can't reveal, without spoiling the entire plot.
But all in all Meg Ripley has all the elements in a shifter book that I really like, and therefore I can definitely recommend this book if you are looking for some light reading and good entertainment.

Park ranger Knox when she interviews him about the orgins of the park. She's going down some rabbit holes and investigating a conspiracy theorist's claims about how the park got started. Knox's job is to shield the secrets of the park from the public eye. Hannah is accosted at the park by four men who are shifters. She does not know that they are shifters or that Knox is one. There are several varieties that live in the park and some are not so good. The attraction and chemistry between Hannah and Knox is off the charts. She sees him change, is she able to handle this? No spoilers, but this is a fun book to read. Great storyline and characters. I received an advance copy form booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

Truth will out

Terrific little book about the National Parks being sponsored and encouraged by rich shifters. Still used by those shifter descendants for their secret uses, while also preserving those areas for humans. Knox is the top park administrator and ranger, while also werebear Alpha for his clan in the Acadia National Park in Maine. Things are pretty controlled until reporter Hannah shows up at the park asking questions Knox can't answer. Add in maurading, criminal werebears terrorizing the park and you have a set up for disaster. But Knox is a good alpha so he has to deal both with problem creating werebears at the same time he's distracted by Hannah, his possible true mate. Plenty of sexy times and shifter action to keep this story moving.

Knox is a bear shifter and Alpha of his clan. He's also a park ranger in Acadia Park, hidden home to his clan and many other shifters. Hannah is a journalist who is positive that there is more to the story of the park origins and what goes on there. There is an instant attraction and the more time they spend together, the more Knox's bear is telling him Hannah is his mate, which makes it doubly challenging to protect Hannah and keep her in the dark about his kind, because she could expose their secret to the world.

This is a fun story with some steam, and an interesting, quick read. The characters have great chemistry and the story held my interest from beginning to end. 3.5 stars.

Hannah is a journalist out to discover the truth behind the founders of Maine's Arcadia National Park while on her vacation. On her first outing she encounters for rogue bears on the intent of robing and abusing her. It is Knox who comes to her aid and chases away the bears. Knox also discovers that Hannah is his mate and through out all of their time together it solidifies that bond especially after the last attack. I love a good shifter romance and Ms. Ripley provides it in this story.

Brilliant Series

Ranger Knox (Shifter Nation: Werebears Of Acadia) by Meg Ripley. Bear shifter Knox is alpha of the bear clan living in the National Park of Acadia. Hannah is a human and a reporter, technically on holiday but on the hunt for a story. Knox and Hannah get close very quickly and Knox thinks she is his mate. I loved Knox! This book is about the romance that between bear shifter Knox and reporter Hannah. I love that he is the ranger and I really thought it was an interesting take on the Acadia National Park! He is guarding a BIG secret about the park. Hannah takes a working vacation to find out the truth. I loved the instant attraction and the hot scenes. I am a huge shifter romance novel reader and Meg gave me a great read. I cannot wait to read more.

Wow, what a great book! The author combines National Park history with a smart and sexy bear-shifter romance. Ranger Knox and journalist Hannah are perfect together, and their love story is brilliantly developed. Knox is strong, protective, and sex-on-a-stick, while Hannah is sassy and feisty and determined to get to the truth. There's plenty of suspenseful action and heart-stopping love scenes on the way to a very satisfying HEA. If you love shifters, you'll want to read this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book through Booksprout.

This story features werebear, Knox and human, Hannah. There's definitely some smokin' hot chemistry between these two.  Knox has to keep the ultimate secret while chasing down some rogue shifters and keeping Hannah safe.  It's a big job for a big bear!

The story line is great but there's too much description in the sex scenes and I NEVER thought I'd say that!  This is a short read but it felt like I was thrown into the middle of the book.  I need a setting in the beginning of a book.  Also, a tiny bit of background on the clan and the town couldn't hurt

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

Hannah is on a working vacation, she is in a small town Bar Harbour and is writing an article on the National Park Service. Ranger Know is the Head Ranger of the Acadia National Park, a bear shifter and pack Alpha. Acadia is a neutral territory for shifters. There are 4 shifter causing havoc. Hannah finds herself in the middle of it with her research. Knox can feel his bear wanting Hannah, but giving into his bear could land the Shifter’s in trouble.

As a lover of Bear Shifters, I thoroughly enjoyed this tale.
It's about a Bear Alpha who works at protecting his Clan, but can't get over his draw to a human woman. He has to decide if this pull is real, if a human can be his mate. Hannah is a reporter and snooping around for a story.
These stories are a joy to read and always have those elements that I enjoy. Thank you Meg for a wonderful story and I look forward to reading more of these Bear shifters. :)

I received an ARC from Booksprout for free and here is my review. Feisty little human journalist getting a little to nosy for her own good, when she meets Ranger Knox, her feisty ways get a little hot and heavy. Will it deter her from writing her article on National Parks and her conspiracy, or will she let it go? you need to read it to find out. Great read, lots of action and really hot scenes, so prepare to fan yourselves a bit :-) Happy Reading

I liked the storyline about a reporter going to a national park to find out how they came about only to find some crazy things along with love.

I really like Knox's character. The strong alpha male with some tenderness.

The only thing I didn't really get was the rouge bears and why they went after Hannah in the first place.

I would recommend reading this book.

I loved the fact that although Hannah is a journalist and that Knox cannot help but spend time with her, falling in love with her, even though he knows that that is so dangerous to his kind.
I adored the way this book was so easy to read, it's fast paced and a good page turner. I spent a very pleasant evening reading it and I would definitely recommend it.
I was given an advanced reader copy in exchange of my honest opinion.
It's a great read and I enjoyed it!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Hannah works as a journalist for New World magazine and is investigating the history of national parks. She's checking out Acadia National; Park when Knox rescues her from some "campers". Will he be able to keep her safe when she is in the park ? The author writes a very good shifter love story with the hope of a future together for the two of them.
