This is a 4.5 star read.

O ... M ... G. This was Awwwessome!! In fact, it was the awesome-est! So, so funny and I got SO much enjoyment out of it. (I don't know whether I've quite added enough "awesome's" and "so's" there)

This epic little story started out just like any other tale with a sad start, a mother and her son trying to connect by going camping after the death of their husband/father.

Unfortunately poor old mum overhears a mob hit taking place in amongst the forest and runs to protect her only child. But never fear .... Kung Fu Sasquatch is here! And his master of Zenness, Lao.
Much hilarity and complex Kung Fu moves abound (No ninjitsu here!) and Hector (cause that's his name) manages to protect Susan and Robby. While there were a lot of technical self defence move names I didn't know it didn't detract from the epic tale. It felt a little like the movie Karate Kid, but with Big Foot!
I can totally see this as a comic or graphic novel ... or whatever they call them these days.(Please, please, please Mr. Author think about this) I've seen a few reviews stating it's a children's book, but I think it's perfect for big kids too. Highly, highly, awesomely recommended.

Good children's book with a sideways moral.

Sad time for a little family trying to go on without the father. On a camping trip they meet some unexpected friends, and learn there is more to some than meets the eye. Nice bit of kung fu fighting, very descriptive.
Great read for family, not too long but interesting enough for all to enjoy.

How often do you get to read a short action story that leaves you smiling when you are done? A story based in loss balanced by gain, and along the way the scales of life get balanced by unexpected characters. I had expected something very different from this author having read much of his other work, but this story just shows the breadth of his story telling abilities.

Kung Fu Sasquatch, my thirty-seventh read from author C. Dennis Moore. Another well-written & enjoyable read. Very different than his Angel Hill series yet thoroughly entertaining! I always look forward to the next work from him. I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
