This was a brutal story of unthinkable trauma and its tragic aftermath between a couple who struggle to return to normalcy. Maddox and Reagan's story continues with this second installment and while it has its steamy moments its much more about how the characters change and try to move on from Reagan's horrific ordeal. The rape scenes are short but brutal and the reader should be warned that the content is disturbing. The subject matter is difficult and caution is advised.
An erotica that isn't just sex but an intense and moving story about how two people learn to love and trust again, where love isn't always perfect and neither are the couple.

Jordan Leger’s writing skills continue to mesmerize me with this second installment in the Intuition series. « Illusion » is very dark, gripping, and highly emotional (a real rollercoaster !).
« Illusion » kicked me right in the feels, and is a perfect combination of raw tension, danger, passion and thriller, with two protagonists who love each other with fierce passion and fight together against awful foes and do their best to find healing and helping each other later on. An extremely satisfying read!
Readers should be aware of the sensitive contents of the story, especially at the beginning, but the most difficult and heartbreaking scenes are all done properly as they aren’t too detailed.

Absolutely one of the better reads I’ve had in over twelve months. This series is a must read. Its captivating from start to finish and will have you hooked within the first few pages. It’s a complete page turner full of intrigue and excitement and it’s a book you want to read from start to finish just to find out what happens next. Our happy couple isn't quite so happy in book 2. She's been kidnapped by her ex and he does nasty stuff to her. She's been through hell and dishes some out to the guy she loves once freed. There are some tense scenes - and a lot of feels that go hand in hand with them.

AS time goes on Reagan suffers from the rape, and everything she endured during her kidnapping. when one reaches their breaking point, what will happen next? with bad encounters, and bumps in the road Reagan leaves Maddox, but will that be the end?

The second book in the series gives us more, more drama, more suspense, and danger. I enjoy how the author is able to draw her readers in the story and keep us entertained. Reagan and Maddox is not your typical couple but they have real problems that we can relate to. Their chemistry is hot and their relationship sizzles with the emotions that they both bring to the relationship. I am looking forward to the next book in this addicting series.

At the end of book one, someone was trying to abduct Reagan and she was fighting that person. Now, she wakes up in a strange place, pregnant and scared. Then she discovers who kidnaps her and is frightened, angry and determined to make it out alive. She experiences rape, lunatic ravings, and more. She was able to make two calls and let them know who took her. After they discover her where she is, she is sent to the hospital for a rape kit, examination and ultrasound. The baby is alright! Maddox is excited about the baby.
After they leave the hospital, they will embark on a journey of many ups and downs. They have very passionate arguments, but at times hurt one another with words. She is experiencing issues from the rape and her hormones from the pregnancy are making her crazy. She meets his family that does not go too well. She sees an old friend from college and that also does not go well. Finally, Maddox goes too far and she leaves him…what will happen next? This second installment brings about so many traumas to Reagan; it will make the reader wonder if she will finally have a breakdown. Meeting Maddox’s family definitely did not help them two. As a reader, you will be able to tell she is overwhelmed with everything happening. Maddox does not know what to do or how to handle things! I need the next book!
Just like the first book, I couldn’t stop reading. From beginning to end, the story kept me engaged and wanting more. Reagan and Maddox are still as hot a couple with real world problems. I love the emotion that’s felt and displayed throughout the book. The author does an amazing job with characterization and plot. I can’t wait to read the next book!

This book has a good storyline which concentrates on the aftermath of kidnap and rape. It is written in a way which doesn’t trivialise the experience but also doesn’t over-dramatise it. The actual crime is not detailed in any depth, which is good. There is nothing in the book to put the reader off reading it.
However, this book is classified as erotica so I was expecting more in that regard. Based on the storyline, I can understand why there are no sex scenes until ¾ of the way through the book, but the author could have put in a flash back scene or a dream sequence. Having said that, the scenes are well written and worth reading.
I think I would have gotten more out of this book if I had read book 1 first. I didn’t realise that it followed on quite as closely as it does (you would have thought it being titled book 2 would have told me that, but apparently not). I highly recommend other readers read book 1 before giving this one a go.

With the way Virtue, book 1, ended I was excited to start on Illusion and it didn’t disappoint me. The storyline continues directly after the conclusion of the first book. The excitement and suspense is at an all time high. You find yourself almost sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to find out the outcome.
I understand showing points of view from both lead characters perspective but I found this became a bit repetitive in the telling and then retelling of various scenes or swathes of time.
I continued to like the chemistry with this couple. Maddox shows more reserved understanding and control but still his dominance does win out at times. Reagan annoyed me a few times, although she’d suffered a huge trauma, she seemed to become petty when focused on Maddox’s previous conquests. I did like her backbone, standing up to him about his family especially.

Let me preface this review by saying that this book deals with some dark situations and may not be a good match for the more sensitive reader.
As this story continues, Reagan has been kidnapped. She is pregnant and scared. When she finally sets eyes on her kidnapper, she is shocked. When Maddox gets her back, she is not the same girl he fell in love with. The things that she went through have left her scarred, and she has a long road of healing ahead of her. She is overwhelmed, and the last thing she desires is intimacy. Cam Maddox be patient and supportive and bring her back to the girl she used to be?

Continuing on from the cliffhanger in the first book, we see Reagan put in an awful situation which changes her life. The way it’s written, you can feel her pain, suffering, how scared she is. A talented author sucks you in on the first page and then you’ve finished the book in one read and have no idea where the time went!
I did not like the way Maddox handled himself. His girlfriend has gone through a horrible traumatic experience and he just doesn’t treat her like someone who has. I think Reagan deserves better honestly. The back and forth between them... I know it’s a Dom/Sub relationship but he’s an ass and she deserves to be treated with a little more respect. He’s got a crazy vibe going, yet she keeps going back. I’m interested to see where the next book takes them and if they can finally work their stuff out.

Heartbreaking!
WOW! The second book in the series is heartbreaking and tragic. The story continues to take us on a very intense and emotional roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs. There is more suspense, intrigue, drama and danger in book 2. I was completely captivated and enthralled!
Reagan and Maddox are thrown into a whorl wind of such intensity that they can't seem to come up for air. This portion of their story will have you frustrated and heartsick over Reagan and Maddox. They go through so much in order to try to stay together. Their chemistry is mind-blowing and extremely steamy but is it enough? They definitely have a lot to figure out if they are going to make it.

This book startled me with the thriller beginning with a kidnapping. Then, it developed into a psychological struggle between two people who are deeply in love, but much of their relationship has been shattered by the crime at no fault of their own. Although much of time later after the rescue, the couple kept wanting to rebuild their lives together when things turned out they were only beginning to know each other.
A couple of the chapters confused me a little with a mix in tenses, so I wasn't sure if the narrator was thinking out loud or was going through a scene. I must warn you it is a cliff hanger ending. I enjoyed reading this book. A page turner for sure.

This second book in the series is even better than the first! The story continues with Reagan waking up in an unfamiliar environment and not knowing how she got there. Every day she dreamt of Maddox and hoped that he would find her. As you read, you find that Maddox will do anything to get her back. And once he does, will things between them be the same? Can their relationship survive the ordeal she went thru and now a baby is thrown in the mix. The struggles they go thru show how difficult life will be for them, but does love prevail? These two go thru many emotional rides in this book and I can’t wait to read more about them in the next book!

If you're like me you'll be eager to read the rest of the series to see their happily ever after. One critical thing, and please do not let this put you off a great book; there were a few times the tenses changed from past to present tense. If you're a grammar nazi and let things like that bother you, you'll be missing out on a good book. As I said it happens only sometimes. Not throughout the whole book, hence why the book is still worthy of 5 stars.

Reagan and Maddox drive me crazy.... riding the wave of their relationship is insane! One minute you are riding the crest of the wave... feeling good for them... the next minute you are ready for them to crash on the rocks or get caught in the undertow of misery and anger... Feel for Reagan who has been through so much... Keaton, her family, his family and then of course Maddox...who wants to love her and make her his... but his controlling ways and consuming love drive her away... can't wait to read more... Another great read!

The second instalment of the Intuition Series begins where the last left off - Reagan’s mysterious disappearance is explained. (No spoilers). This is a well-written drama taking a multi-viewpoint format between the two main protagonists, Reagan and Maddox, and their complex relationship is explored in more depth. This was done so well, that as a reader, I found myself siding for one or the other as the story developed. Again, we are left with a mystery at the end and a perfect set-up for book three, and a desire to find out how things end. Read and enjoy.

This is the second book in this series, and these books need to be read in sequence in order to get a better understanding of the characters. This story deals with the aftermath of a horrific event. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed! This is another well written tale from this talented author, and I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read the third book, and I highly recommend this authors’ work for all.

A dark and healing read
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. Reagan spend days in a horrible dark place but holds it together for the baby growing in her belly. She is eventually rescued and begins healing only to run into drama with family and Maddox past. It's a whirlwind read. I really enjoyed how long she spent healing and the almost toxic back and forth of their relationship.

Can Reagan and Maddox's relationship survive the trauma of the kidnapping? Such an event changes everything and adds new dynamics and complications to an already complicated relationship. While there are still some sizzling romance and steamy scenes in this book there is also more depth to their relationship this time around. The ending was not what I wanted or expected, these cliffhangers are killing me. Thank God there are more books in this series!

Powerful, Edge of your seat reading....The story of Maddox and Reagan continue in Illusion when Reagan is kidnapped and raped. Maddox will do anything to find her, although their love may not be enough to get her through the trauma.
Excellent story line anticipating the next book.

This book... might be sensitive to some readers, but I still recommend it!! It is a page turner that’s for sure!! It is so well written, the story sucks you in like you are there. The raw emotions are definitely felt on every page! Still steamy, but sheds light on tough times. The battle with Reagan and Maddox trying so hard to figure out what it do!! I felt every word!!!!

This is the second book in this great series. This story is raw with some tragic emotions in the mix. As our couple try to get back to their normal life after this tragic event, they struggle to get their settled in their new relationship. I was so sad
To know that I'm a moment your bible could be burst and everything you thought you knew about life is now foreign. I hate Reagan had to survive such tragedy and it has nearly ruined her and Maddox. Great work and dope spin on this part of the story.

this was the second book in this series and it was really good! something bad happens to her in this book. she is pregnant with his baby and he will protect his family. he doesnt know how to deal with this all. its a short read.

Well book 2 just as good as book one, enjoyed the continued story line and oh a good cliff hanger. Maddox and Reagan are such a spunky couple. I am looking forward to the rest the books. Jordan has not let me down on anything i have read.
