"I have become the mother of death."Grimalkin is the deadliest witch assassin that walked the earth and she's set her eyes on the Fiend. It's personal. And she will stop at nothing to defeat the dark creature.
But she can't fight him alone - she must rely on her alliance with the Spook's Apprentice (Tom Ward).
"I have looked into the darkness,
into the greatest darkness of all,
and now I fear nothing."
While Tom is trying to find a way to permanently defeat the Fiend, she must be on the run. Constantly. Because she holds the head of the fiend in a thorny sack.
"I also have a code of honor, but it is flexible."
This is the first time we get a book from a different character's perspective and I thought it was pretty decent.
"Each day say to yourself that you are the best, the strongest, and the most deadly. Eventually you will start to believe it. Finally it will come true. It came true for me. I am Grimalkin."
