EVO: ASTON MARTIN BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A MOTORING ICON
I was really looking forward to reading and enjoying being quite the Aston Admirer and owning several books on The Marque in my library however I was disappointed with Evo Magazine's book which seemed like a magazine in book form itself, a very short read and not much of a pictorial, there are some nice pictures but not the whole book itself, as each section/chapter is a very brief intro to a particular chosen model and year. I was bothered by the British V8 Comparison to American V8 comment, kind of a like a put down so to speak Of American V8s and American-ness sadly. There is the Nimrod Race car in her but just a spread no other pictures, the cover is nice, take off the dustjacket and there's a different car on the book itself on the back bottom. There is the DBR1, The Beautiful DBR9 and Bond Movies,a section on one-off Astons, But to me the book fails as a coffee table book and as a reader I cannot even say it is a good history of the Splendid Aston Martin. Even the quality of the book as the pages have black stains on the top edges, the book feels and looks cheap. I am Keeping it in my library as a quick go to but not because it was informative.

A spectacular book covering the history of Aston Martin, the past and present models with even a section on bespoke models like DB5 and DB6 shooting brakes (estate to you and me).
Certainly a book I will be keeping as its great reference book for me with stunning photographs of every model.
