Rate this book
Ben appears to be a typical husband and father. But inside him is an insatiable hunger to be with other men. He feeds that hunger by secretly going to the dark places where men meet anonymously. That's where Ben meets Jerome. Jerome has what Ben craves, but what Jerome is hungry for is complete power over his lovers. To feed his hunger, Ben may have to give up his typical life.

This is a candid exploration of sexuality and sense of identity which has many surprising twists and turns in the course of the narrative. The introduction makes the story seem more akin to erotica at first glance, but this sets off the chain of events for the entire story. The book settles into a detailing of the main character, Ben's, life, and how his secret double life affects not only his own life but also, that of his family. There are no easy answers for the characters which gives the book a bittersweet, realistic feel.
