I bought this because I love the fairie tales of Jenni James so much! These were all fun but not up to par with hers (in my opinion). Nevertheless, it was an easy read which kept me entertained. The first two were my favorites.
The first two stories were my favorite. Loved those! The rest were ok. Goldilocks could have been good, but ended abruptly with no closure to the story.
Overall some good stories, some really cute ones, and some duds.
The Ugly Princess - Jenni James - 3.5 stars sweet Ugly Duckling story (clean) Bearskin - Allison Brown - 4 stars - loved this Beauty & the Beast retelling. (some child abuse & bullying) The Crow Prince -A. Shepherd - 2 stars - This was just weird - didn't care for it very much. Some violence. Blancanieves - James Elliot - 1.5 stars - I hate to give such a harsh rating but it was pretty much dark and gloomy the whole story with little to no romance - mild violence and poison - Not the Snow White retelling I enjoy. Princess Veronica on the Glass Mountain - Marla Workman - 2 Stars - Thought it was a little silly, but clean. Goldilocks - Jenna Madsen -3 Stars - I would have given it one because I was mad it just cut off abruptly but I loved it up until it ended.
