Recieved in return for an honest review. Naughtiness 3*
Absolutely loved this book very much, actually read it in one go I could not put it down I loved it that much and was completely drawn in to the story with the characters, to the point where I felt I was a bystander with them and helping our hero and heroine on their journey.
I as always never give spoilers as it's unfair to both the author who's took the time to write a Blurb with enough to draw a reader and is also unfair to spoil the story for potential reader's. What I will say that from the end of the first few pages I was completely drawn in and lost all concept if time which is what I believe percent book should do. I literally stopped at the end of the story and was totally buzzed, even though it was close to 4am, lol, seriously though it's a brilliant read and I can honestly say I haven't read another book like this with regards to what happens or the mix of paranormals which I also loved. I do very much hope there are more of Lea's books featuring these characters and their stories.
Lea is a new author to me so I will be looking and collecting more of Lea's title's but I most definitely can't wait to read more. Thank you for writing this awesome book and giving me the chance to read it.

Summary:
Received for an honest review.
Donnie lead a normal life until she started working for Ash Merrick where she saw an old dagger he kept in his office. For some strange reason she felt drawn to it until the day it spoke to her mind. I told of the horrible things her boss forced on it and it's longing to return home. In spite of how crazy the situation was when she realized how her boss was using it to prolong his life she grabbed it and their journey began. Ash was not going to let his prize possession leave without a fight causing her to goon the run. Their journey led her into the arms of Mikhail who was dangerous in his own right, but something about Donnie that spoke to the centuries old vampire who feels compelled to protect her. This convoluted story leads the reader on a strange and fascinating trip that is both unexpected and riveting. Donnie may learn more about her self and Mikhail than she ever expected, but to find out anymore you really need to read this wonderful story.
This book is written about Magic, New Mexico which is a town who allowed individuals paranormal be themselves. There are various books by various authors written about this fantastic town.
Donnie is on the run from her antiquity boss whom she stoled a knife. Her ex-boss reviews himself as a snake shifter that uses the knife to become younger. He is going to poison her but rescued by a vampire. Would she trust a vampire? No!
The knife is leading her to the Bell between realms. She encountered the vampire Mikhail, who's going to Magic. Will they save the knife from the snake shifter and avoid getting killed themselves?
I have been enchanted with the characters from Magic, New Mexico because at times they are funny, unique, and have various personalities that makes me wish magic was real. The plot is unique because Mikhail wants to be human again. But the only way to be human is to drain a fairy of blood, but of course she would never do that. Would they ever be able to be in love?
I don't like to give the plot away because I believe the reader will be more likely to read a book that is worthwhile. And these books about Magic, New Mexico are worth reading because they are so enchanting. I highly recommend this series.
I loved it! Donnie is running scared because she stole a dagger from her former boss. She thinks she is crazy because it is communicating with her, wanting her to rescue it. Her boss was draining it's power to stay young. It seems to be alive somehow. A vampire, Mikhail, has decided she looks interesting. He is waiting for her shift to end at the coffee shop. She goes out the back door but her former boss is waiting for her. He drags her off but Mikhail senses his old enemy, Ash. He sees him out the window with the woman he had been thinking about biting. She catches his eye & he nods. Ash drags her into an alley & demands she return what she stole. When she tries to back away he shifts into a snake. Mikhail is able to save her but she finds out he is a vampire & she takes off. She goes to the locker where the dagger & some clothes are hidden. She changes clothes & wants to know what they should do. The dagger sends her images that tell her to catch a train heading west. She sees Ash & the the dagger lets her know if she holds the hilt she will be invisible. She throws her other clothes onto a train going the other direction. He follows her scent. Mikhail is looking for her as well but she is able to avoid him. She hops from train to bus to train as the dagger shows her different places. She misses her family but since she took the dagger she had been unable to talk to them. It had been about 3 months ago. She has used the invisibility trick to catch rides because she had no money. The last time the dagger showed her a place to get off she was stranded in the middle of no where with no money, food or water & no transportation. She starts walking, a truck pulls up, it's Mikhail. When he finally gets her to calm down & get her to get in the truck he takes her to Magic. It's where he is staying. She tells him this dagger has been giving the directions. It zapped her & he looked at her hand. He tells her it's Fae magic. She tells him it wants her to take it to the veil. He takes her to the guest house he is staying at, it belongs to a friend of his. He tells her she can use the other room until they figure this out. She goes up to clean up & stash the dagger. They go get something to eat. When they get home she is so tired she falls asleep on the couch. He makes dinner waiting for her to wake up. When she does he tells her how he knows Ash. They go way back, 400 yrs. Ash had been a bad person even then. She then explains about the dagger & why she had it. He tells her they would ask Charlie, another vampire, this was his house, if he knew how to find the veil. Charlie hates Fae, but he might know something. She goes up to go to bed. The next morning Charlies wife puts extra wards around the house so Ash can't get in if he finds them. She tells Mikhail to invite them to dinner to meet her. She tells them what is going on. The dagger has her believing that a guide will be looking for her, but it hasn't happened yet. They say she needs to have the dagger on her out in the open out from under the wards. That way the Fae guide will sense it. While they were walking around town with the dagger, Ash finally finds them. He tries to get them but the Fae guide saves them & tells her to meet him at moonrise at the veil. They get back to Charlie's to tell them what she was told. It seems that would be tomorrow at midnight. The veil is very close to where they are staying. Mikhail doesn't want to let her go in to the veil alone. The Fae may not let her go. If he goes in with her they will kill him right then, they hate vampires. For a vampire to turn human again they have to drain a Fae of it's blood. As she is about to go in to give the Fae queen her dagger, Ash slithers out of no where to bite Mikhail. The fae guide tells her to go through. She gives the dagger to her, & asks her to help save Mikhail from the venom of Ash's bite. The Fae queen refuses, Donnie, tells her he has helped get the dagger to her. She tells her she is of her blood & can help her herself. She goes back to find Ash dead, & Mikhail almost dead. The guide brings the dagger back to her to use to prick her finger. She lets him taste her blood so he will get a good enough drink to save him. Her necklace, a family heirloom, zapped him. He woke up worried that he had killed her. She let him get enough to turn him human. The dagger went back to the Fae queen. She got to call her family & let them know she is alright. She finds out she has a little bit of Fae healing power. On the way to see her family he stops outside of Magic where he picked her up to propose to her. I loved it!
I love this book! I couldn’t ask for more action, suspense or passion.
Magic, New Mexico: Made for Her (Kindle Worlds Novella) is a riveting tale of faeries, vampires, shape shifters and other mystical beings, with its fast pace action, the thrill of suspense and a couple drawn irrevocably towards each other.
Lea Kirk is refreshing as she is a talented author. I loved how Ms. Kirk’s ability of imagination, brought two worlds together; the paranormal and human, and created the extraordinary community of Magic, New Mexico. I found it to be packed full of continuous action, hair raising suspense and a desire that won’t be denied!
Donnie and Mikhail are drawn to each other from their first meeting. The sexual pull between them is irrefutable until Donnie realizes Mikhail is a vampire.
I give Ms. Kirk the recognition she deserves for this outstanding work of literature.
Do you believe in magic? Hidden worlds? Supernatural senses and abilities? Would you like to, at least for a few hours? Then relax and slip into something sexy, soothing, and mind expanding. Why, yes, I'm talking about author Lea Kirk's latest novella, set in the Magic, New Mexico, Kindle World. I, for one, would LOVE to live here and take advantage of the fairy and witch cleaning and decorating services . . . But there is a lot of excitement and adventure before you'll get that opportunity with a couple of charming protaganists to entice you.
From the magically talented imagination of Lea Kick comes a paranormal romance with a difference. Drawn to Magic, New Mexico, a human woman and her vampire protector must over come the evil pursuing them to return an ancient artefact to another realm. Along the way they find a life changing passion for each .
Another Magic, New Mexico book. I only gave this one 4 stars because I thought it dragged a bit getting the knife to where it belonged. She was so brave stealing it and taking it cross-country, then she's afraid to finish the trip? I liked it, it just wasn't one of my favorites.
Such a good read! Donnie and Mikhail mist work together to return a dagger to its proper realm. I loved the concept and it was definitely well done. I haven’t read any books before with a snake shifter and I quite enjoyed that. The story was exciting with a good the pace.
