The holiday season has rolled around once again, and the townspeople of quaint Serendipity, Pennsylvania, are preparing for their annual Christmas Challenge. This year, the funds raised from the various events and activities will benefit the continuing relief efforts in the aftermath of a brutal hurricane season.
Victoria (Tori) Harper agrees to participate in the more physically demanding sporting events of The Christmas Challenge alongside her brother and new father, Donovan, on behalf of his HarperMorgan Advertising Agency. But why has Donovan invited the insufferable and irritatingly appealing Henry Adams to join their team? The man seems determined to drive her to distraction, but Tori’s not about to fall under the charms of a handsome man with a smooth line, even delivered with Henry’s irresistible British accent.
As the youngest attorney in town, Henry has grown to love little Serendipity, and especially his verbal sparring sessions with Victoria Harper in The Coffee Nook and elsewhere around town. She might call him a Snooty Scrooge, but he’s determined to win her heart. If he can’t win that personal challenge by the end of the holiday season, he might as well move on and accept a tempting job offer from a New York law firm.
The second in The Serendipity Christmas Series, following The Christmas Challenge (2016), join Henry as he seeks to win Tori’s love and they’re both reminded of how God is always faithful in His promises. A Serendipity Christmas celebrates the very best of the holiday season—love, faith, family, small-town charm, and the true miracles of the Christmas season.

Are you feeling stressed by the busyness of Christmas preparations? Why not take a break and visit the sweet town of Serendipity? You’ll meet some fabulous people like Tori and Henry, see wonderful Christmas decorations, and if you’re lucky, you may get involved in the Christmas challenge. After reading last year’s Serendipity story, The Christmas Challenge, revisiting this sweet town felt like coming home. I can’t help but like a strong yet insecure heroine, and Tori (aka Victoria) fits the bill perfectly. Henry touched my heart with his sincere faith conflicting with his strained family relationships. And who can resist a British accent? Realistic, charming people whose witty banter is an absolute delight, Henry and Tori kept me reading, smiling, and sometimes laughing out loud. Their supporting cast is great, too, making me want to visit Serendipity again and again. A Serendipity Christmas is an enchanting story, a beautiful literary getaway, and easily earns five stars. Don’t miss it!
JoAnn Durgin’s book A Serendipity Christmas. Tori and Henry are both amazing people. Watching these two become more than sparing companions is truly remarkable. The characters in this book are all very special people who you will love. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next in this story. You will feel God working throughout this whole book. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could. This book is a must read. You won’t be disappointed.
My heart is full with these beautiful words. JoAnn Durbin has again penned a beautiful love story. This well crafted story kept me going from start to finish. I couldn't put it down. It was so nice to be reunited with some of my favorite characters and meet some new ones. Tori and Henry will be close to top of the list with Sam and Lexa. I highly recommend this book to those who love Christian romance.
This has been a true delight to read these two stories of love and the lord’s work. I came from a small town and wish my life would have been more like Donovan’s and Victoria. I am a Christian and married to a loving Christian woman. So I found myself routing for them to find what I found. Although my idealistic small town has drastically changed. I have fond memories and hope to find a loving small town again.
Every time I read I JoAnn Durgin book, I think it is the best one ever. Well, this is the best one ever!! The relationship development between Henry and Victoria is funny, emotional, and slowly deepening through lots of amazing conversation and super situations. I absolutely love this author and very highly recommend this book!!!!!
I loved reading A Serendipity Christmas. Not only did I with it could go on and on, it's plot and sub-plots were well written and thought out. To sum it up in one word, the book was sweet. It also made me want to go back and re-read her other books. I can't wait to read the next book in the Lewis series! Only a little over a month to go. :)
