Right off the bat, I think the recipes are mostly well chosen. .
"Marilla was right, you must keep your wits about you in the kitchen."
However, some of the literary connections felt more like a stretch, like this quote included for the Corn Soufflé.
"I had one chocolate caramel once two years ago and it was simply delicious."
I suppose the corn souffle is yellow which connects to sunshiny but that feels tenuous Best. Personally, I would have preferred a direct book-to-cookbook relationship for all of the recipes chosen - if it's a food Anne eats, sees or mentions, then throw it into the book.
"The world doesn't seem such a howling wilderness as it did last night. I'm so glad it's a sunshiny morning."
