Enjoy the complete Mastiff Security series. Romance, Suspense, Mystery... 5 Books. No Cliffhangers. More than 1,000 pages :)
Book One Durango Masters was a celebrated detective with the Chicago PD until the day they found his fiancée strangled in his apartment. As Durango struggles to keep his world from falling apart, his best operative is out on a simple protection job that isn’t as simple as it should have been. Axel finds himself naked and freezing to death in an old barn, discovered by his target only because the hitman likes to play games.
Book Two She woke, her face bruised, her wrist sprained, with no memory of what had happened the night before. Not fifteen minutes later, a knock on the door announced the police looking for the person caught in a hit and run on a traffic cam. When they told her the name of the victim, she almost believed she was responsible. But why did she have no memory of the events? Quinn Naylor’s only choice was to hire the best security firm in town, Mastiff Security. How could she have known that the operative they assigned to her case would be the one person with the best reason in the world to hate her deep down to his core? Just her luck.
Book Three Kelly just moved to a new city, made new friends, got on with her life. One friend, Tracy, makes it her mission in life to help Kelly find new love, but when Kelly refuses a blind date, Tracy goes in her place. The following Monday, Tracy is found murdered in her apartment. Afraid the past has caught up to her, Kelly seeks out her husband believing he’s the only one who can keep her safe. But can they move forward together, or will they always be caught up in the events of the past?
Book Four Zola doesn’t trust men after her ex lied to her and screwed up all the carefully made plans she had laid out for her future. Having to take a job as a private security operative was just adding insult to injury. Put on top of that the cherry of having to insert herself into a reality television show where participants are stuck in a house together for weeks and weeks, and she was absolutely miserable. After just a week in the house, she finds herself getting into the game. Maybe it was the competitive nature of it. Or maybe it was Gunner Pratt, the hot forerunner who refused to pay her any mind.
Book Five Durango Masters has been accused of killing his fiancée, his lover, his partner, and a random assistant he barely knew. And now a former client has been found dead and police are eager to bring him in based on nothing more than a few fingerprints found in the victim’s apartment. He’s run out of second chances and friends willing to stick their necks out to help him. Except for one.
Well written. Good suspense. Enjoyed the character development. Kept you guessing as to whom was committing the murders. Especially enjoyed the game show, a little different from typical romance novels
Durango Masters was a former Chicago PD detective who'd found his late fiancée murdered in his apartment. Now the part owner of Mastiff Security agency, his past was still haunting him. Especially when someone was hellbent on destroying his new life.
Book 1
Axel Kinkaid, an operative at Mastiff Security was assigned a simple protection job. Only it wasn't as simple as he nor his bosses thought.
Abigal Rains had a degree in biochemical engineering but never got to reallt use it cause her former Harvard professor sold their research. That didn't sit well with her so she left and headed back home. Her father got sick and died leaving the family farm (Rain Drop Farms) to her.
Mastiff Security was hired to protect her from a killer. The danger was closer than she could ever imagine.
Despite the danger they were facing, Axel found himself drawn to Abigail and vice versa. The killer was playing a game of cat and mouse with them. He loved the thrill of the chase.
They made a discovery regarding the killer that has something to do with Abbie's past. With the killer still at large, Axel pulled away from her in order to protect. But it was more about him being afraid of letting her or anyone get to close.
Mastiff Security firm lost one of their own and that loss was heartwrenching.
Love how both Abigail and Axel decided to give what was growing between them a chance.
Book 2
Quinn Naylor, a pediatric surgeon over at Lincoln Medical Center. She woke up one morning with bruises and cuts on her body with no recollection of how she got them.
She was arrested for vehicular manslaughter. She turned to Mastiff Security for help in proving her innocence.
Calder Obre, a former detective who worked as an operative at Mastiff Security was giving the assignment of looking for evidences to prove Dr Naylor innocent.
He had every reason not to tale this case cause her father destroyed his. But being the professional he was, he took the case.
Their first encounter wasn't a pleasant one but Calder's mind changed about what he thought he knew. The attraction between him and Quinn was off the charts. They had both suffered loss because of her sadistic father.
Someone was framing her and that said person was willing to kill her, come what may. But Calser wasn't about to let anything happen to her.
Loved how Rose (Calder's mother) and his daughter, Addison, took a liking to Quinn when they met her. It was great to see Calder finally found the happiness he and Abbie deserved.
Quinn and Calder were able to prove her innocence...The culprits got what was coming to them. It was great to see the loverbirds happy, glad they were making friends as well.
Book 3
Kelly Hobart, a writer who had a deadline to finish so her friend Tracy tried to get her to go on a blind date, she declined. Tracy went in her place.
When she heard about her friend's murder, she realized that she knew something about the killer. She also knew that she needed professional help.
Ryder Fairfield lost everything two years ago. He was judged for doing his job when a teenager pulled and shot a gun at him. He left his job and never looked back.
Now an operative at Mastiff Security, he didn't like soing protection cases. But when his boss told him that the client asked specifically for him. He couldn't refuse. What he didn't expect was to come face-to-face with the love of his life.
They both had some things to work out before they were able to start over. And they did with some external help, Kelly and Ryder finally got the closure they needed.
Tracy's killer turned out to be someone from their past. When all was said and done, they decided to move back to Atlanta to open a nonprofit center.
Book 4
Durango's stepbrother Billy came to him for help. Two of his Hollywood acquaintances Cillian Christy and Felicity Meeks, they were producers of a reality tv show, Stranger's Retreat.
Someone was sabotaging their set and the contestants were getting hurt. They wanted to hire Mastiff Security to catch the culprit. Durango and Axel decided that Zola would be best suited for this assignment.
Zola always wanted to be a cop but circumstances forced her to take a job as an operative at Mastiff Security. She wasn't comfortable with what her new assignment asked of her. But she still took the job cause she didn't want to ler her bosses down.
Gunner Pratt was a contestant on Stranger's Retreat, he was also considered as a possible suspect. He got close to Zola and that worried Durango.
Incidents kept happening on the set, this time around Gunner got hurt. And Zola couldn't hide the worry she felt. Those two were too cute, loved their banter.
As expected the culprit was one of the contestants, I just never saw the twist that came with that little tidbit.
Book 5
Durango Masters was falsely accused of murdering his fiancée Sarah 5 years ago. He lost all his "friends" now he was running a security firm with Axel Kinkaid after his previous partner was murdered by the Harrison Strangler.
After Sarah's death, he found himself wandering trough partners like there was no tomorrow. That was until the shy yet sassy woman that worked for him, Gracie Colson.
Gracie Colson (Margaret Grace Franklin) has always had a crush on her boss Durango Masters. But there was more to her than beneath the eyes.
He found himself in a similar situation as he did years ago. He was accused of killing one of Mastiff Security's former clients. It seemed like Durango couldn't escape his past or was it that the killer and an arrogant cop were obsess with the former detective!?
When Durango found out the truth about "Gracie", he was hurt and angry. But he knew she was his only chance at proving his innocence. And catching the serial killer.
They got help from the rest of Mastiff employees and some intriguing friends of Gracie's. Finding out who the culprit was hit Durango like a ton of bricks. He lost so many loved ones and he wasn't about to lose the woman who had come to mean a lot to him as well.
MASTIFF SECURITY, the complete series boxset was fascinating, intriguing and astonishing. Glenna Sinclair did a marvelous job. Loves this boxset very much.
I'm the type of person that has to finish what I start. I've found it difficult to get into other books, but stuck it out and was greatly rewarded. THIS... was not one of those books. I found it to be predictable, almost to the point of boring. I had every "mystery" solved from the start of each story line. But for me, what was so very much worse, was the fact that the "author" obviously doesn't know the difference between "passed" and "past". Neither does the "author" understand that "then" is a place in time, and "than" is a comparison. Spellcheck can only do so much. This "author" needs to take another English course or three. Maybe then (place in time), I can say/type "author" without the quotation marks.
Wow, these are some great mystery/thriller romances. And I didn't figure out who the serial killer was until about two chapters into the last book.
Yes, there are a fair amount of typos. I turned my iPhone on accessibility mode and let the computer sounding lady read the book to me. The errors were a lot more tolerable then since "passed" and "pass" when read sound basically the same. This allowed my brain to process what the word should be rather than what may have been written, practically eliminating my frustration about errors. Another plus was that I got to make dinner, clean the kitchen and start my baby's bath and keep on reading. I think computer lady is going to be my new best friend!
Well Glenna, as always, gives us another exciting, suspense filled adventure in the investigative world. Twists and turns are the components of a case that weaves itself through the lives of members of his security team. Each member is faced with entanglements that reveal the heart and soul of their character. Challenges to the views and attitudes of each investigator instill a sense of adventure as each book builds around the underlying case. Enjoyed the series and love the writing of all of Glenna Sinclair's books!
Wow, what a fantastic ride! A perfect blend of thriller ,intrigue, and love story. I couldn't wait to get to the end at the Same time I wanted it to last forever. Durango is such a complex character you feel so many emotions just with him,.then throw in the rest of the great characters and your completely hooked. One storyline better than the next with an underlying thread intertwined in all if them . I can't wait to read more of Glenna's work, I've not read anything of hers that's disappointed me . ever! Thanks , keep writing...
This series had more of a suspense novel feel. Not as much romance. It took longer to read, I think it was because it had so many details and story lines. It was amazing and so Good! I have read all of Glenna Sinclair"s security series and have enjoyed them immensely. Riveting reads, you can't go wrong with any of them.
Awesome series, highly recommend it. Lots of who dunnits, great, realistic stories, main characters run throughout. Hard to put these books down. There were a few typos, but didn't stop the storyline. One of the books has a realist tv show in it, that was cleverly written.
Another great series, my friend! BUT, this time, I leaned through all the books on who was the Strangler! The only surprise here, was a wonderful addition to my pleasure....I won't say what it was, but I love forgiveness in life! Thank you for another week of pleasure!
Have you ever read a book and knew right off who but not the why and you're yelling at the characters because it's so dang obvious but they aren't seeing it? Well, that was me! I enjoyed the ride this story took me on. The secondary stories in each book running along the main were just as good. I read all five of these books in two days.
I took a wild guess about who the strangler was in Book 3 and I was right. Overall, the series was great, but it was the on-going story that made it that way. The other operatives and their stories only enhanced the bigger picture! But, I didn't foresee the ending in the conference room and I should have! No way it would have ended any other way.
This series and The Gray Wolf series would greatly improve TV watching, if Hollywood chose to make shows worth watching. For now, I highly recommend mature readers to choose both and delve into exciting detective novels with romance included. Happy reading!!!😁🔰
This book popped up on my Facebook page. What a delightful read. Spent the day reading all of the stories. Each stone different yet intertwined. Good story. Good read. Enjoy.
This was awesome! I'm glad I got the bundle so I didn't have to wait between books! I couldn't put it down! Every book was good with Durango's throughout them all! Zola & Gunner were my favorites!
Glenna Sinclair has a great feel on where and how to take you literally down a problematic and probable investigation ride while adding a little more than just some hookups.
I loved the story lines showing different stories but also the one thread in all the stories. I figured out the killer early on but not the other twist. Read it it's good.
I love author Glenna Sinclair’s books. Mastiff Security was a compelling series that left me with that “Wow! Never saw that coming” ending! I’m ready for the next series!
Woah doggie what a read. Follow the operatives of Mastiff security as the hunt down extortionists, con artists and one serial killer. Great storyline what alot of HEA.
I thought this security series was GREAT! Twist and turns.....individual stories all entwined in a big case. Some discrepancies but overlooked. Good Read!
I truly enjoyed reading this series of books 📚! Each one was full of love ,romance, intrigue, and sexy! I would definitely recommend this series to read!
Dude Durango has been to hell and back and trying to keep his name clear isn't easy especially when people keep coming up dead!!! Lots of great reads!!!
Keeps you wanting more. Just when you think you have it solved as who done it comes a twist and leads you in another direction. Wishing for more like this book.
