The awe inspiring journey of India's Missile Man deserves the title aptly. He is and shall remain "Indian Above All". Perhaps his demise was the only one the whole nation mourned after M.K. Gandhi. I knew him as a great teacher and fantastic president, but my respect grew to infinity when I saw the journey of The Missile Man of India and the enormous respect he earned of all the Prime Minister he worked with. From Indira, Rajiv, Vajpayee to Manmohan Singh he has worked with every Prime Minister and a variety of politicians from all parties. But never once and never from anyone did he receive any sort of criticism or bad mouthing. Such was his enduring persona.
His vision 2020 is perhaps the most important and biggest lesson to the politicians of this world. It is perhaps from his speeches that the youth of this country began imagining India as a Superpower. It is perhaps from him we have learnt to tenaciously pursue our goals. With his vision and his spirituality that went beyond any religion, he became the darling son of Bharat Mata.
This book touched me in many ways. And I am telling you, before you pick up this book, be warned. Whoever you are, you will be dwarfed. For you are holding in your hands the mountain that is truly humble. It's humility bows it down but when you begin scaling it, lo and behold, you shall experience Vertigo. So my dear reader. e ready to be overwhelmed, to be swept off your feet in the gentle yet powerful waves of this ocean called Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
