Gabriel has never wanted to belong to anyone before. Gregarious and charming, he’s never lacked for companionship, but he’s also never found anyone that he’s willing to invest himself in. He doesn’t anticipate that will change anytime soon as he begins his first year as a preschool teacher at a prestigious, private elementary school.
Yates had a plan for life - marry a suitable woman, have several beautiful children to dote upon, and be recognized as a formidable player in the politics of corporate America. He’s got the company. He’s got a beautiful daughter. But his marriage is over, and he’s not looking for another one anytime soon.
When Gabriel and Yates meet at a cooking class, neither of them is prepared to go farther than some harmless flirting and maybe a passionate night or two. But when one date turns into more, both men feel like they’re getting in over their heads - and that’s before Gabriel realizes he’s dating his student’s father.
*** Easy going Gabriel, 24, a Kindergarten teacher has found his dream job.
*** Yates is a successful businessman, 31, divorced, with a 4 yr. old girl, Emily Rose. These two busy men are taking time to go to a cooking class to expand their crappy kitchen skills and maybe make new friends. They end up class partners and get along well, with lots of flirting. They go on some dates before they hop into bed, and when they do, it's WOW, kapow and kaboom - amazing. Their emotions run deep, and there are some guilt issues Yates must deal with.
Yates works out his feelings and once again they are back on track. This is a slow burn, an exciting romance with low angst, a smart girl ( not a smart alec) and two men who talk out their issues. There is a homophobe at the school, and a thief at Yate's work, and we are kept completely interested in this tale. Great sex, true love, fabulous characters and a terrific story. Wonderful and fun. Loved it ! Highly recommended ! ENJOY !
This story was just an ok read for me Yates was too stuffy for me and I had a hard time liking him and his daughter Emily Rose *ugh her name irritated me after a while plus the too smart for her age kid thing im really over that. I really liked Gabriel after Manny and me I was waiting for his story and HEA but I was a little bit disapointed with this one .
This was a miss for me. The two MCs were not consistent with their personalities. The issues they kept having were ridiculous. I found other things wrong but, I don’t want to spoil it for others who may like it.
this was an excellent story with the main plot of falling in love with Yates and Gabriel struggling to expand their friendship into something more. Yates is a wealthy businessman who is freshly divorced and with a four year old daughter. There are side plots as well that keep the reader on their toes as they get caught up in the two's relationship and then the author squeaks in the side plots to grab our attention. The author kept me guessing about the thief at Yates business and a homophobic teacher keeps things stirred up at Gabriel's kindergarten class. A good story and I am sure others will agree.
Gabriel is a newly qualified kindergarten teacher who is given a gift of a baking class to help him meet someone away from work. He meets Yates and they hit it off and begin flirting, soon finding themselves falling for each other. But how will this affect their relationship when Gabriel discovers that Yates is the father of one of his class? So many complications in this sweet romance with a happy ever after eventually. It is well written with an original plot.
This was such a sweet love story. Finding the perfect fit, the one who completes you, the one who brightens your life and fulfills all your dreams of what true love means...these are the endearing qualities of this very satisfying love story.
I got a cavity 😊! Loved these characters and how their differences brought out the best in each other. Emily Rose was the decoration on top of the frosting. Absolutely enjoyed it!
No thanks. I couldn't get past the first couple of chapters. * spelling errors (syllabusus ) * 3 year olds do NOT go to kindergarten * I could not get into any of the characters - very shallow
I at least finished this book.. skimmed some but persevered. There were just too many inconsistencies and errors to make me give it more than 1.5 stars.
This was a fun series to read, full of cute kids and funny one-liners. The story was sweet and the characters were likeable. I look forward to reading more from this author.
