Crimson Security: Complete Series

Rate this book
Dark, dangerous, and deadly when crossed. Things are bound to get hot when the men of Crimson Security are involved.

Book 1
My name is Darby Connors and I’m in deep. Maybe too deep for me to make it out alive. It isn’t the first time I’ve been in trouble while doing my job, but this time feels different. Something is coming for me. Someone is coming for me.

Hendrix Crimson is assigned to guard my body, and guard it, he does. Caught up in the mess I’ve made, he tries to help me solve the case I’m working on so he only has to worry about one killer coming after me.

Book 2
My name is Lacey Holt and I do not need help from Jagger Crimson. Someone is messing with my family, and my ranch, trying to drag up painful family memories. They’ve convinced my dad that my brother’s murderer is back and ready to pick off the rest of our family. I know better. I know that I can take care of it without Jagger, too. He’s a constant distraction and all he’ll do is get in my way.

Convincing my dad of that is another story. When it becomes clear that the threat is directed at me, he is ready to ship me off to safety. I’m an adult, though. I’m tough. There’s nothing that this hidden bully can do to run me off my family land. Except for kidnap me and lock me away. So, maybe I do need Jagger after all. Not that I’d ever want to admit that to him.

Book 3
Left an orphan after a rough childhood, I was taken in by the president of a rough Motorcycle Club. Given plenty of room to grow, I was treated like a princess. Until I wasn’t. When things in the club change and a new president takes his throne, I’m in more danger than ever. Sold and then saved by Jackson, I owe him my life. It’s not anything he’s interested in, though.

Jackson comes with baggage, but I get it. I have my own. Who can help that when we unpack it, things get a little messy?

Book 4
I’m not who I used to be. Detective Rain Willows died while being held captive by a very bad man. Now, I don’t know who I am. I’m not a cop. I’m barely a human some days. I’m scared. I lost everything. I gained some scars. The bad man is still after me.

Thad Brooks has an ax to grind with me, but he feels like the only thing standing between me and death. I don’t want to admit that I’m afraid, or that I need help, but when things get bad enough, I’m not too stubborn to wave the white flag.

Book 5
My only desire in life is to get my daughter back. At any cost, including my life. My name is Clara Crimson and I’m not a good person. I live with a monster and I have killed. I don’t deserve to be happy, but she does.

Cash Crimson, my ex-husband, has every reason to hate me and he does. He probably would like to watch me die, but he thinks he needs me to find our daughter. What we find isn’t what we expected, though. I’m not sure either of us will survive it. I’m not sure I want to. We have to keep our daughter safe. We have to get close and remember we’re on the same team. It's time to bring down the man who destroyed us.

I totally loved this book and can't wait to see what the author writes next. I loved the characters and their stories. Sadly, I agree with the others about the ending. While we can extrapolate out what happened, it would be much more satisfying to have an epilogue that wrapped up both the criminal and emotional elements of the stories. However, even with that comment, this is still a book well worth reading. Fans of the genre will want to add this to their TBR. Additionally, while an indie work, it is surprisingly well edited with just a few typos. Kudos to the author for that.

Note to the author: I tried to follow you on social media, but couldn't find you. I'd hate to miss out on your future books.

Okay read

This series of books is fairly typical of this genre each book features one of the operatives of Crimson Security, each individual story tends to be based upon hot alpha male comes to the rescue of the femme fatale. Each story is slightly different but along the same lines of girl in trouble man comes to the rescue and finding love together at the end. No surprises nothing outstanding so just a fairly generic read.

Well written, I'll give it that. There were some annoying characters and sometimes the plot was predictable but the last book made up for it all.

The last book had an impact, mostly good but some of it bad. I'll let you discover the good. The bad:
1) Cash is a shit husband, father, and man.
2) I'm still pissed on behalf of his ex-wife, that he could afford expensive nights out with his brothers and other woman, but he never once bought food for his wife or child. He was the example of uncaring father. He only ever sent enough money home to pay fir rent. Really?
3) The ending remains open and I don't really like that. On one hand, at least the author didn't give Cash and Clara a happy ending - Cash doesn't deserve to be forgiven and Clara has always supported herself, even while married to him. I'm glad the author ended it where I can assume Clara went off to live her life by herself. I think even she, the author, couldn't really imagine them living and being together. On the other hand... some closure would've been nice because the last book was the bomb and Clara made it so. Cash... was the tool by which the author made Clara strong. He never helped her with any dang thing in her life, and I can't say Cash helped her in this mission to keep her child safe either. It was all Clara. Yeah, I really want her to ditch him and make a nice life for herself. He doesn't deserve her.

New to me

This author was new to me, and for the first couple chapters, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get into it enough. Fortunately it picked up pretty quick and sucked me in. I ended up loving this series of stories. Each book got better and better in my opinion. They had plenty of passion, lots of conflict, and constant action. My next book is probably going to be another by this author. My only critique would be that I wish the POV swapped here and there to get the guys' thoughts.

Great characters

This collection of 5 stories had interesting, strong, sometimes fun characters. I loved the writing, the suspense, the humor, and the romance. A couple of the stories were a bit too heavy, especially Cash. That one was dark for me. The first 2 were my favorites of the group.

Crimson Security?

The stories were great, but showed very little about the security. All the women in these stories pretty much saved themselves. Maybe the title should be changed to...idk, something about survival and falling for men who work for some private security company.

New to me Author

This series is Awesome! She writes like Glenna Sinclair one of my favorite authors. The storyline keeps your attention to the point of not being able to put it down. Was sad to reach the end but was glad to meet all the couples!!! Thanks

So pleased with this book

This security series was great. Usually they're so cheesy and unbelievable and full of fluff and filler, but this s one wasnt. It was great. Each brother had their own story loosely based on one story that all came to a close at the end.

Intense series

Strong, imperfect characters. Sticky situations. Great endings, even though they wouldn’t be quite so neatly wrapped up in real life.
