Megan My father knew I'd be the one to find his sprawled-out body. But that didn't stop him from pulling the trigger anyway. I won't lie to you. Life has been hard for Mom and me. Yet somehow, we find a way to scrape through every month. But living this way takes its toll on you. Did fate have a hand in reuniting me with my high school friend, Scott Holbrook? All I know is that working for his pregnant fiancée is the break I've been waiting for. But life is never so simple and as I suspected everything is not as it seems. When I started working for Scott all I wanted was the opportunity to make something of myself. I had no idea it would lead me to uncovering the truth of what really happened to my father. Scott Being CEO of my father's billion-dollar property investment company was not what I wanted considering my appointment was a way of easing his guilt. Absent father. Cheating on my mother. I could spend all day listing his sins, but I won't bore you with this rest. That's why accepting the job felt like selling out. But it was a sacrifice I needed to make to establish myself. A necessary evil. Temporary. And it was until I got Kristin pregnant in a drunken tryst. Now my father has the leverage to force me to settle down and focus on my future in the company. Is love worth the sacrifice or my inheritance? I’m not for sale, but even the greatest sacrifices come with a price.

I’m originally from a small southern town where everyone knew everyone and their business. I was so happy to leave and move to California for college where I was originally going to be a veterinarian. Well, I met a guy (yeah it’s that kind of story) and dropped out of school to have my oldest daughter. We soon divorced, and as therapy, I started to write.

I never did go back to college, and have been writing ever since. I love to write about sex. Lots of sex. Taboo sex, kinky sex, anything but missionary sex (unless the heroine is tied up tight 🙂 ) It’s probably something to do with my southern upbringing.

I hope you enjoy my stories and if you have any kinky stories, I’d love to hear about them.

3 Stars....
Scott....Billionaire....Drunken Mistake....Begrudgingly doing the "Right Thing".....Unhappy in Life.

There are lies and secrets. He cheats, grows a pair and finally, finally comes to a decision. He finally figures out he will never be happy until he takes control of his life.

This was an okay read for me since Scott wasn't my favorite, but Megan was a strong leading character.

Not for Sale started off great, was really loving the writing, characters were interesting and was keeping my interest, but about half way through it just got down right annoying. Nothing irritates me more than wishy washy characters, and when characters continually make stupid decisions, it totally distracts from the story. Scott is from a rich family, is CEO of the family run business and has commitment and trust issues, his father is a dominating jerk. Megan's family ran in the same circles as Scott did when she was in high school, but after her father died, Megan and her mother lost everything and are now living paycheck to paycheck to get by in their one bedroom apartment. The two end up meeting again when Megan applies for job to be an assistant for Scotts fiancé. The lack of confidence Scott had was down right irritating after awhile, I mean you're this successful CEO of a business, but yet when it comes to a woman who claims he got her pregnant, he just rolls over and let's her completely take advantage of him and leads him around by his nose without even insisting on paternity. Megan wasn't all that much better, she allows the fiancé to walk all over her, all in the name of the money it was paying for the short six month period. The relationship in high school became confusing, Megan said they were just friends, while Scott ended up saying they were a close couple. Just inconsistent in parts, didn't care for his dad or Kristen at all. I would have kicked Kristen to the curb as soon as she opened her spoiled brat mouth, she was that bitchy and irritating. Ending left you wanting more...

I had difficulties with the rating for this book, the first half of the book was definitely worth a 4 star, but the second a shaky 3 star, so I'm splitting it for a 3.5 star. I really like MS Parker books, so I'm not sure if it's the cowriting with Tasha Fawkes that they aren't collaborating together when writing their parts or if it's just being overlooked, but I would sure like to see these two great Authors come together and write a consistent non irritating wishy washy story that will knock my socks off.

I have to say that this is not my favorite of MS Parker's nor Tasha Fawkes' stories. My actual rating is 2.5 stars but I rounded up because I normally love MS Parker's writing. Scott is a man being blackmailed by his father into marrying a woman he got pregnant. She's the daughter of his father's business associate, and for some unexplained reason, he wants Scott to marry her. So he threatens him with being cut off and fired if he doesn't marry her. Megan is an old high school friend of Scott's who applies for the position of Scott's fiancée's PA.

When Megan comes into Scott's office for the interview, he doesn't even recognize his old friend, because now she's grown into a beautiful woman rather than a young teen not yet grown into her looks. There's an instant attraction, well there always was one but they never acted upon it in high school, but Scott's engaged and Megan isn't the type to be a man's mistress, even to a man she's always had feelings for. Of course, things happen, Scott cheats on Kristin with Megan and things unravel from there.

I don't normally like books with cheating, even on people who deserve it like Kristin, (who is an absolutely horrible person) and I have to say I don't like it here either, even though for the most part I liked Megan. She's strong, independent and smart. Scott, though, God, he's the worst kind of "hero." He's wimpy, indecisive and quite frankly, a selfish asshole. Megan could have done much better. I wasn't really feeling this book or the connection between Scott and Megan. It didn't feel strong or real. Scott couldn't even make a decision between Kristin (or actually, his inheritance) and Megan to save his life. Megan was thoroughly in lust with Scott, but was it love? If so, I didn't see it or believe it to be so.

So, the only thing that saved Not For Sale from a lower rating is because I liked Megan for the most part, and I have faith in MS Parker that her next story will be much better.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

You have Scott who was a playboy billionaire who was CEO of his father’s company while Megan was a woman who was working several part time jobs so that she and her mother just barely live paycheck to paycheck. When Megan sees a help wanted ad online she fills out an application . Once she fills it out she realizes it's Scott whom she went to high school with.

When Megan knew Scott years before, it was in at a private school. Before their relationship could go any further, Megan had to drop out due to personal and monetary reasons. Now fast forward years later and here they are meeting again. When they meet, Scott is this playboy billionaire who is now engaged to be married to Kristin , the woman who is “pregnant” with his baby. Scott couldn’t believe his eyes when his old friend came to his office for an interview and when she did, there was this connection, this chemistry. Yet what a bad time for this to happen. There is a lot going on for Scott…he is having to get married or else he will make his dad mad and that is something he doesn’t want to risk and on top of that, the girl he wanted when he was younger has come back into his life and is just as gorgeous as ever……..and the animal attraction is deep and running super-hot. What I liked was how strong Megan was…she knew she was not supposed to fall for Scott and when she messed up and had an affair with him, she accepted her role in everything. Scott was a bit weaker in everything. I wish he would have stood up to dad sooner … there were twists in this story which made the affair more believable otherwise I don’t think I would have accepted this story as much. Megan was a more tolerable character, likeable than Scott. There is good heat in this story but it isn’t my favorite by M.S. Parker and Tasha Fawkes.

My Rating: 4.2 stars *****

I thought the book was pretty good but I didn't enjoy the story quite as much as I usually do with these authors, both because of the dryness of the writing and because I felt like there were some things left unexplained at the end. I like books where the characters are doing and talking and pulling you right into the story. That often didn't happen here for me. I didn't mind that Scott and Megan are both flawed because that makes them a little more real than the bad boy romances I usually read, but it irritated me that Scott allowed his father to control him throughout the story. He also doesn't play fair with the women in his life. Megan too made some poor choices and when everything blew up in her face it was a little hard to feel sorry for her. This couple does get a nice HEA, which I appreciated. My rating is 3.75 stars.

This is a tale of secrets, betrayals and sins of parents kept hidden. Megan was the one to find her father's body after he shot himself. He was selfish when he pulled the trigger knowing that she'd be the one to find his body. She and her mother were left alone with nothing, but she's a survivor. She felt fortunate to get a job working for the fiance of an old high school friend, Scott.
Scott doesn't respect his father because of all of his father's sins and had no desire to work with him or for his billion dollar company. But after getting his fiance pregnant, his father entices him to come to work and settle down.
Things are not as they appear and there are lots of surprises and twists. Quite a well written book with an entertaining storyline and complex characters. I enjoyed this book and voluntarily reviewed if after receiving an advance copy.

Lets start with how amazing the cover of this book is, that man is smoking hot and I would take him home for free even ( cause we know he is Not For Sale) and I really love books when MS Parker and Tasha Fawkes team up (they give us some hotness overload).

The story of this book was really good, and the characters while some will make you want to run away with them, others will make you want to rip your hair out or throw your kindle across the room.

Megan and Scott's story will give it all to us, we have one night of drnken sex, a pregnancy, a forced marriage, high school friends reunited (never knowing the other had crush on the other in high school), secrets and lies told by parents (even a parent betrayal) and even though I don't usually enjoy books about cheating this book has it but I didn't really mind it, it fit into the story of the book.

Cant wait for the next book together by these two amazing authors

Scott is a twenty-five year old CEO of his fathers company. He can't stand his dad. But he stays because he's accustomed to a lavish lifestyle. He keeps dreaming of having his own business someday. But until then he endures his father.
One drunken night he makes the biggest mistake of his lifetime. It will cost him everything if he doesn't do as his father demands.
Megan is also twenty-five but her life is much more tiring and her and her mom live paycheck to paycheck. Even though her life is hard her and her mom love each other tremendously.
When Megan sees a help wanted ad online she fills out an application. Once she fills it out she realizes it's Scott whom she went to high school with.
She gets the job but it's going to change a lot of people's lives.
There are secrets and lies waiting to be revealed.

I have to be honest and say I didn't love this book. The characters were way to wishy-washy! Scott was a coward I felt for most of the book. Too scared of his own dad to try to go off on his own and instead of being a decent man, chose to cheat on his pregnant fiancé (granted he didn't want to marry her but was out of obligation) with Megan. She wasn't much better either. She knew he was (unhappily) engaged and knew it was wrong, but decided to try to have a relationship with Scott. I know they both loved each other but Scott should of broke it off with Kristin a lot sooner, and Megan never should've agreed to be 'the other woman', which she claimed she didn't want to be, but was in fact that. The writing wasn't terrible, I just didn't personally care for the storyline.

Scott was a billionaire who was CEO of his father’s company. Megan was a woman working several part time jobs so that she and her mother could just ekk by each month. Megan and Scott had ran around together at a private school until circumstances made her have to drop out. Several years later they meet again. Scott was something of a playboy and didn’t do relationships. He took made a drunken mistake and now is paying for it. Megan answered and add and it turned out to be for Scott’s fiancee. How is this going to work out?
The book is filled with deceit, parental interference, twist, demons from the past, lust, love, and finding oneself.
M.S. Parker and Tasha joined together to make this brilliant book. They took the plot and built their characters around it. The characters are fully dimensional. I loved this book and couldn’t put it. Grab a book and be immensely entertained

Good read

A good fairly generic romance hot billionaire and good old girl female. Megan is a strong independent young woman with a difficult background having had a fairly upper class young life her fathers business failed and he commuted suicide, her and her mothers life completely changed as they were left with nothing. They lived on the edge of poverty and as she grew she got work where ever she could to help make ends meet. Scott was Megan's boyfriend when she was in private school but they lost touch after her dads death, they meet again under difficult circumstances and soon realise they still have feelings for each other. He is being trapped into marriage by an unscrupulous woman and his own father. Can Megan save him from a fate worse than death, she certainly fights for him. A great story of love overcoming extreme difficulties well worth reading.

I love Tasha Fawkes and M.S. Parker together. It is beautifully written and has an outstanding story line. I loved how different it was. The only thing I would have like to seen different was Scott having more a of a backbone to him. It made the story feel a little off so that is why only 4 stars instead of 5. I love how strong Megan is throughout the story and she is determined to stay strong and independent. Scott and Megan do have great chemistry together and it was felt throughout the story. Kristen is a real piece of work and I just picture her with the descriptions that displayed throughout the story. This is definitely worth reading. It's so hard to make good decisions when you are scared of new struggles on your own. That is how Scott feels. He has been manipulated over and over by his dad to the point of making him docile. But can he stand it one more time? Having Megan appear in his life again brings him hope of having what he was missing. Even for a man who haves everything. Megan is like a breath of fresh air. They both get a chance of picking up where they were left in the past but it won't be easy with a bossy manipulating dad and a snob bridezilla. I could have done great without a lot of details about the surroundings but the story is still good, it feels real because even though Megan makes some bad choices she still is strong with a good head on her shoulders.

Not for Sale by Tasha Fawkes and Ms Parker was hot and steamy. Megan has issues. Scott has issues. They have history. Megan tries to be tough as nails and super independent because she was forced to be. Living paycheck to paycheck and trying to find her "niche" has not been easy. The job that she finds will help her to at least get a cushion for her and her mom. The only problem is that her employer is someone she used to care deeply about...and he is getting married. Scott is not happy and his father gets to pull his strings to get him to do what he wants. Scott wants out from under his thumb but can't seem to find the way. Will these two make it to each other? or will circumstances keep them apart?

I’d love to write a glowing review, but I just can’t. Stories with flawed characters are fine – they make for good conflict and more realistic character motivation – but “Not for Sale” just didn’t hook me. A lot of Heroes make drunken mistakes and own up to them, but he has no spine, and he can’t seem to make up his mind. Meagan is a better character, but she alone can’t carry the entire book. She doesn’t want to be the other woman, but does it anyway? And Scott’s a cheater who’s too afraid of his Daddy to make a change in his life. Frustrating, annoying “Hero.” The writing style was fine, I just couldn’t finish this.

Perfect Ending!

Scott and Megan lit up the screen with their romance. After several attempts by Scott to do the right thing for himself, he realized that that was causing him to lose everything that meant anything to him.

Megan come into his life accidentally, and saw things for what they were. After letting Scott in on what she'd found out, she'd hoped he'd make the right decision.

After Scott found out the truth, things took a complete turn.

Scott, and Megan's romance was destined to be. Perfect ending!

Scott is CEO of his father's company. He can't stand his dad, but hey, when you get used to a certain lifestyle you do what you have to do. However, being young, dumb and a man he makes a big mistake one drunken night.

Megan and her mom live paycheck to paycheck. Who knew when she applied for a job it would turn out to be working for a high school friend....Scott.

A great story that had me captivated from the beginning!! I love when M.S. Parker teams up with other authors, because I know it's always going to be a wild ride!!

There is Megan who has had a tough life. Finds her father after he has killed himself, then has to leave her school as her mom can't afford it. She and her mom get to a really bad state. She gets a chance interview with an old flame from school, Scott Holbrook. He changes her life completely. Will she be able to live with everything Scott is? Will Scott jump at a chance for happiness or be manipulated by others? Good story. Really enjoyed it.

Defeated to live a life determined by his father, and the inheritance he so desperately wants, Scott waffles over how he'll ever break free? Will his past friendship with Megan cause more angst or be a blessing?

Fawkes and Parker wrote smoothly and with heart. The storyline was filled with romance and I loved how unsure Scott was about his future. My only wish is that there was a more defined ending. A great read!

I enjoyed this book even though you can see exactly what was going to happen. Scott & Megan knew each other from school & after her fathers dad, she lost contact with Scott. Now years later they are reunited and old feelings come to light but with Scott engaged and his fiancée expecting his child it just wrong timing. But when secrets come out and Scott feeling betrayed can Megan & Scott have a chance?

I enjoyed Not For Sale. Meghan was a likeable female lead. She had a pretty tough life for awhile, and needed something good to happen for her. Scott is a rich, sexy playboy, who, is not my favorite male lead, but he is redeemable. The story flows pretty smoothly, no blanks or questions left unanswered. The characters are enjoyable, even the characters I didn't like. Tasha & M.S. give us a fast paced, exciting, steamy story that keeps you wanting more!!

M.S Parker and Tasha Fawkes did a great job telling this amazing story. It was well written and I was hooked from the start. Scott is a playboy but after a drunken night he made a mistake and now he is paying for it. Megan is doing everything she can to keep her and her mom a float but when she answers an ad for a job she didn't expect it to be her ex's fiance. There are the up and downs, a real pager turner. This a must read!!

Awesome Book

Scott is a billionaire and Megan is a poor woman working too many part time jobs to put food in the table and pay rent for both she and her Mom.
Megan's Dad shot himself when she was young and she found his body.
Scotts Dad had screwed Megan's Dad in a business deal. This was a well kept secret for too many years.
I will not go any further because I don't want to give anymore away. I loved this story and recommend it if you like HEA stories.

Scott Holbrook, CEO and the son of Mike Holbrook of Holbrook Property Corporation. He lead a very privileged life wanting for nothing. But when one to many drinks leads to a night in bed with the daughter of his father's close friend it would change his life forever.

M. S. Parker and Tasha Fawkes are both very fantabulous authors. And we'll deserving of five stars.

Good overall but annoyed me at the same time.

I enjoyed the story as a whole, but it was not so extraordinary that I could not put it down. Then the high lows left me furious, like how fickle some of the parties seemed.
