It's still not super clear how this story is linked to the series Alice in Borderland. I think potentially these are the first visitors to Borderland and they help create what it is in Arisu's story? Unsure.

Despite that I'm quite enjoying the story for what it is. A lot of deception and logic and it's quite fast paced. Developing well.

it’s starting to become clear to me that this may be a story following the first ever visitors to “borderland”, before it became what we come to know in the Alice in Borderland books. there doesn’t appear to be games or lasers in this world, but it’s being hinted at that they may be created by some of the characters. how they achieve such massive degrees of human development is beyond me, so i’m still reading eagerly to find out where this story is going.

the first volume was a bit slow, but i still enjoyed it. here, action is picking up as the group who has left to go into japan encounter difficulties with their journey and with each other.

i don’t truly understand why Alice had to run away with one of the cards, leaving the japan group with an incomplete set and a reason to come after her. i guess we’ll see how that ends up in future volumes.

The action I was looking for from my previous review was here, but to my dismay, it did not give me any more reasons to look forward to the future of the story at all. I don't know if it's because I was expecting a lot from this or I'm just sleepy while in the middle of reading the volume.
