Sorry dnf 15%

The writing was shallow, to fast paced and so predictable it was boring.
I’m sorry to say this but it’s my honest opinion: my 10 year old can write better.

dnf! I just can't do it. The taboo-ness 0f it all isn't even the issue. With out giving anything away from the plot.. I just couldn't read it. Nope. The whole situation that the leading lady finds herself in, hit too close to home for me. I love Rye Hart, I've read my fair share of her steamy and exciting reads, and I'll continue to support her. Maybe one day, when I find myself in another time of my life, I can try to read this again. Until then, on to the next!

Caleb and Tara are stepsiblings. When Caleb gets hurt as a firefighter, he needs a physical therapist to get him back on his feet. Tara happens to a physical therapist. They haven't seen each other in years, since they were a teenager. They were in love, which got Caleb sent away in military school. Their parents didn't approve. Now, they are older but will history repeat itself? Do they still have feels for each other? Or is this only a professional relationship? Y'all should read this to find out!!!

So this a really complex stepsiblings romance story. I love it! I love that it isn't just the simple forbidden relationship that most stories have. I think Rye Hart did a great job making it a unique stepsibling story. I really enjoyed it. I loved all the characters. I really felt so angry with people trying to push them away because they are stepsiblings. This is a great stepsiblings story. If you like those stories, then you'll enjoy this one!!!

Before even starting my review of this book I must state that am a real fan of Rye hart's. Her books are extensively researched and with such fantastic story lines and interesting characters. Heroes that are strong, handsome, caring, protective and not afraid of showing and declaring their love, and who will do anything for those that they love whilst the heroines are strong willed women who think of others over themselves and are not doormats and love passionately. In this book our two protagonists, Caleb and Tara fit the bill perfectly. This isn't the simple step siblings who fall in love, but so much more as her dad, Darren, goes out of his way to tear the two young high school sweethearts apart. The book is set 10 years later when so much has happened to them both. Caleb is now a man with a purpose and once he gets a second chance of trying to persuade Tara to give them another chance of love. Tara has worked so hard in those years but she has a secret that could tear them apart forever. There are so many emotions in this book, teenage crush, adult love, passion and lust, despair, heartbreak and hope. For, without hope and love, what do we all have? Have some tissues ready if you cry. What you must also remember about any of Rye's stories is that there will be a HEA. I suppose that I am greedy as I would have liked to find out in an epilogue a few years down the line as to how they were getting on, so I must use my imagination and decide for myself how they are. I think this is Rye's best story yet and that's a very high standard for her. It is a page turning book that I couldn't put down until I had finished it in the middle of the night. So well worth reading and I that you will find it well worth reading too. I was lucky enough to be given an arc of this book and I voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED - Rye Hart is a phenomenal author!

I LOVE a great second chance story throw in a stepbrother who is also a firefighter and OMG Rye Hart
has written the trifecta of awesomeness!
Caleb is a firefighter who while saving a woman and her child was hurt badly. When he wakes up in the hospital
and sees his mother and stepdad he is a little out of it, But when he sees Tara, the love of his life walk in
and realizes that she is going to be his PT he is so happy that maybe he will have another chance.
Tara is back in her hometown doing her final part of her clinical rounds to become a licensed PT. When
she finds out that one of her new patients is Caleb she is not sure how she is going to handle it.
See Tara and Caleb were in love when they were in high school, even thought about running away together
because Tara's dad married Caleb's mom. But that didnt stop their love, or did it. When Tara's dad and her
new stepmom sent Caleb off to finish high school at a military school it shattered Tara's heart. It took YEARS
for her to get over him. Or did she really.
Caleb did not realize just how badly he hurt Tara when he left. But going to military school and then joining up
was truly the best thing that ever happened to him. When he and Tara cant help the chemistry between them and
they hookup again Caleb knows that he will do anything to win this woman back. BUT things like Tara's secrets about
her headaches and missing pain pills on Calebs end seem to be keeping them apart.
Rye Hart wrote such an amazing story that kept you sucked in until the end. It was BEAUTIFUL

That was an unexpected emotional treat!

Wow, I mean Wow!
Rye Hart just took me on a whirlwind, second chance journey.

It was one helluva bumpy ride- but I loved every amazing, heartbreaking, hot, frustrating, minute of it!
When Caleb gets severely hurt while out on a fire call, the P.T therapist brought in to help with his recovery happens to be Tara, technically his stepsister, but in reality, the love he was forced to walk away from 10 years prior by his stepfather- he had broken her heart by leaving then.
Now grown adults- he needed her help to recover- Tara still harboring some deep feelings for him, she will walk a fine between patient and therapist. Healing his pain stirs up plenty of old wounds in herself, all the while dealing with her angry, unrelenting fathers ideals and hiding a scary painful, secret from everyone.
Gah!! A one sitting word lovefest wracked with tormented emotions -AN. ABSOLUTE. MUST. READ.!
My own emotions were all over the place, throughout this twist of fate tale, between the heart seizing moments and utter frustrations I rooted for these two!
I was so impressed by the fact that even though this is a fiction romance with a spectacular HEA, not everything is magically “ all better” in the end!
Perfect mix of all things in this one! Five plus star read IMO!
Ms.Hart keeps upping the ante with her storylines- I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. OMG! I absolutely loved this book! Caleb and Tara fell in love ten years ago and were forced apart by Tara's father who married Caleb's mother when they were in their senior year of high school. Tara's father thought it wasn't right even though the two did not grow up together in the traditional sense of step siblings. Caleb was wild back then and was forced to join the military. It broke Tara's heart even though she understood there was nothing either one could do. Fast forward to present day and Caleb is a firefighter who was recently injured and Tara has come home to work as a PT. The two have not seen each other the whole time even though their parents are married. Tara is assigned as Caleb's pt. From the time they meet again it is obvious to both of them that they never stopped loving one another. The two begin seeing one another. Tara has not been feeling well for some time and once she finds out what is going on with her she wonders for a bit if it is wise to stay with Caleb. She pulls away at times. Eventually she confides in Caleb about what is going on. The two admit they are still in love. Caleb admits not only to Tara but to their parts that she is the love of his life and he is going to stand by her through it all. I loved this book. It both pulled on your heart stings and had you rooting for them at the same time. I loved how everything came together at the end and they were able to get their HEA!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book for my honest review!

This story pulled at my heart, it was a testimony of true love and devotion.

Caleb and Tara fell in love with each other at the age of seventeen, but their love was forbidden by their parents.
Caleb and Tara are step-sibling and Tara father sent Caleb off to military school to get him away from her. It will be ten years before these two meet up again.

Caleb has become a firefighter and spends his off time drinking and looking for hookups and quick lays, but in the back of his mind Tara is always there.
Tara went off to school to become a Physical Therapist and is finishing up her last rotation of on the job clinical for her degree in her home town.

Caleb is called out to a fire and gets injured, and Tara will be his therapist. The sparks will fly and these two will rekindle the love they have for one another, but Tara father still does not want his daughter having anything to do with Caleb, and he doesn't hide that fact.

Tara has been getting headache for over a month and they are getting worse. Tara dad tells her to get checked out my a doctor. The outcome does not look good for Tara.

Read this wonderful touching story that will break your heart, but it may also put it back together again. You will ask yourself will Caleb be what Tara needs in her time of trouble, or will he let pressure from Tara father make him leave her again.

You go Rye, one of your best to date!

Forbidden, hot, and oh so delicious! An amazing second chance love story. Caleb and Tara fell for each other ten years ago but were ripped apart by the marriage between Tara's dad and Caleb's mom. Tara's dad has never approved of Caleb for his daughter because of his past wild behavior. After the split, Caleb enters the military. Actually, he was pretty much forced into the military by Tara's dad. Neither Tara nor Caleb have truly gotten over the other. Now, years later, Caleb has grown up and become a firefighter! Hot!!!! Tara has become a physical therapist. After a recent injury during a fire rescue, Caleb is injured and ends up Tara's new patent. Tara is very conflicted. Should she pass him on to another therapist or does she take him on? Her jealousy gets the better of her and she decides she can handle Caleb and his flirty ways. He sees this as his second chance with the love of his life. I especially loved the part where he is called out about a certain picture he keeps in his wallet. They of course fall back into the relationship. But things don't go smoothly. Between her dad's attitude and a medical crisis, can they find their way to each other? Will Caleb step up and be the man Tara needs? Rye Hart has a winner on her hands for sure!!!!!!! I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.

Another amazing read by Rye Hart this one about second chances between step siblings who haven't seen each other in 10 years. Their first meeting stirs up all the feelings of the past, the hurt, the longing and the love that never died. Unfortunately they still have an obstacle that was present all those years ago and the reason they didn't make it back then. Now that they are older and adults they can deal with it.....hopefully.
My my my a steamy read once again but also a read that had me reaching for the tissues with all the emotions and mind blowing news that one of them receives. Caleb was a man wh*** until he sees Tara again and I enjoyed the fact that none of his past conquests or exes came up. I also loved the fact that he fought for Tara instead of walking away or giving up, he wasn't going to let anyone or anything stop them from being together this time. Tara had my heart, she was strong and sassy and I loved how she didn't let others change her mind about Caleb, she stood up for him and their relationship and did what made her happy.
An amazing read that had my heart doing flip flops and my eyes filled with tears but also a huge smile on my face with their HEA.

I voluntarily received an ARC for an honest review. Rye Hart had me crying with this one! Such a roller coaster of emotions! I've yet to read a book by Rye Hart that I wouldn't recommend! So you can't go wrong with purchasing this amazing second chance romance!
Caleb is a firefighter who gets injured on the job while saving a family. He ends up needing physical therapy. What he didn't expect was to see his first and only love and for her to be his physical therapist. Who also technically was his stepsister, even though neither considered the other in sibling way since they were 16 when they met.
Tara had avoided Caleb since he broke her heart years ago. She's about to finish her degree in physical therapy and doesn't need Caleb keeping her from her goals. With them now within the same vicinity of each other they can't fight the attraction they still have.
Pick up this book today! See how they deal with the past and the things that try to keep them apart in the present! Don't forget to keep a few tissues on hand!

Rekndled love is Grand

The name of the book must have changed as I read HOT AS SIN and it's the same story as this one. Caleb is a firefighter that got hurt on the job and while in the hospital he meets his physical therapist Tara. They are both shocked as they haven't seen each other for 10 years. Tara's heart was broken by him. They are actually step brother and sister, but they met while in there late teenage years. Tara's dad Darren married Caleb's mom Cathy. So as Caleb was a hard to handle teen he was sent of to a military academy then later joined the army. Tara's dad Darren is the one who had the idea to send him away mostly to get him away from Tara as they fell in love and Darren didn't think Caleb was good enough for his daughter. So as Tara is Caleb's physical therapist they finally end up falling in love again. Then something medically is wrong with Tara. You need to also know her dad is a doctor and her step mom is a nurse. This does end in a very Happy HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book

Caleb and Tara are taking a second shot at love and going against all odds for their HEA! Tara’s heart has been broken since her father separated her Caleb from ten years ago. Caleb was a classic bad boy and her step brother to boot so on some things he may have had a point, but irregardless Caleb was still the love of her life and she was crushed and heartbroken. Now she focused on her career and trying to fulfill her dreams of become a physical therapist, but love after all this time still alludes her. Caleb was straightened out when he was sent away but walking away from Tara was one of the hardest things he ever had to do. He loved her wholeheartedly and knew that she had a brighter future without him than stuck with him. When an accident brings him back into Tara's life as a patient, he realizes that destiny has a helping hand and he is not letting her get away this time. No one not her father, Tara, or even fate will keep them apart this time - he's a man on a mission!

OMG cringe worthy moment for Caleb as his work colleagues blurts out that he has a picture of Tara in his wallet. But Caleb handles it well and frankly that makes him a worthy man.

There tough times ahead for the couple as Tara believes Caleb in abusing drugs and Caleb cannot understand why she thinks it of him. But Tara is with holding vital information from him as her devastating news was a shocker to me, but when she eventually tell him, he handles it quite well.
Daren is a very possessive father who does not think Caleb is good enough for his daughter and has gone to extreme methods to keep them apart when they were seventeen, but now as adult there is nothing much he can do apart from stew in anger.

Very intensive story with loads of hardships that Caleb and Tara have to go through but true love always conquers.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Caleb and Tara. Caleb and Tara were sweethearts when they were in their teens but circumstances broke them apart. Neither of them tried to contact the other but they have not forgotten one another. 10 years later Caleb is now a firefighter and Tara is now a physical rehab specialist. So without knowing they are in the same town when Caleb gets hurt on the job it is Tara's job to patch him back up. However they wonder will old feelings get in the way?

This is a great story about never forgetting your first love and fighting for the chance to maybe have a shot to be together again. This book has some twists and turns I really want to tell you about but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

This book was addictive. I was hooked soon after starting. I promised myself “just one more chapter” until I looked up and it was long past my bedtime but Id reached ‘The End’. A skillful blend of several themes: second chances, step siblings, caregiver/patient, this book checks all the boxes. Lots of drama, lots of steam, some sweet awe-worthy moments, and even some big laughs. Caleb’s a cocky, sexy firefighter hurt in the line of duty. Tara’s the physical therapist who’s supposed to get him back on his feet. She’s also his step-sister and the pair of them have heaps of history behind them. I loved seeing this pair pull together in order to overcome all the hurdles that kept getting thrown in their way. Caleb and Tara definitely earned their happy endings.

This book definitely earned its five stars. First, and foremost, I absolutely loved Caleb. He is a sexy, strong, firefighter, but more than that, he is willing to fight for and support the one he loves, who happens to be his stepsister, Tara. They did not meet until they were both 17 years old, when his mother married her father, but these were not brother - sister feelings that they had and still have for each other, after having not seen each other for 10 years. Tara is having to deal with a very serious health issue, and Rye Hart does a wonderful job handling this serious part of the book, as well as the hot, steamy parts. It is a story that was hard to put down, because it grabs your heart, as well as some other body parts, and does not let them go. I voluntarily reviewed this advance copy, and I very, highly recommend it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC. Caleb is a firefighter who gets injured while saving a mother and child from a fire. When he comes to, he finds that the love of his life, and step sister, is going to be his physical therapist. He's excited for what may be a second chance for them, but wary: he broke her heart ten years ago and she doesn't seem all that happy to see him now. Plus, her father still doesn't want them together and the last time he sent Caleb out of state to military school to separate them.
Tara isn't looking forward to treating Caleb, but she's a professional and will deal. What's harder to deal with are the feelings that she thought had been extinguished when Caleb left and didn't come back for her. It's not taking much to fan those embers into a full-blown blaze.

Caleb and Tara's love started as teenagers, floundered for 10 years and becomes all encompassing as they struggle through and accident and a devastating diagnosis! They met as teens when her dad married his mom, they couldn't fight they passion for each other but Tara's dad did everything he could to keep them apart. 10 years later they are back in each others lives and the love and passion from years ago is still burning bright between them, even though Tara's dad is still against them being together. As one of them heals, the other gets a life changing diagnosis and now they don't know if they will get their happily ever after! A really good story with lots of sexy times, family drama and angst, this story will keep you turning the pages until the end!!

9.23.17 - Rye Hart does it once more. She is bringing you a book that you are going to fall in love with. Caleb and Tara have had feelings for each other for over 10 years, the problem you ask? Well, Tara's father married Caleb's mother when they were in high school and since they are now "step" siblings, people would frown on a relationship between them. They didn't grow up together and aren't related by blood so is it still taboo? PIck this book up and Caleb and Tara are going to bring into their world where they meet again after years of not seeing each other. Caleb will become Tara's patient and the feelings are just as strong now as they were back then. Will hey take a chance moving forward?? Will love prevail in the end? This is a well written book and I truly loved the characters within. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.

Ten years ago, Caleb broke his stepsisters heart when he left. Tara thought the world of him and when they both confessed their love for each other, she was ready to leave everything behind for him, then he leaves town on her and breaks her heart. Now, Caleb needs a therapist for his on the job injuries. Tara is the one that is assigned to him and all the old feelings and emotions come back to the surface. At first she ignores her feelings and keeps things professional, but soon the off the chart heat index is sky high between them. Now the only thing standing in their way is their parents, more importantly, her dad. Caleb finally convinces him of his feelings and love for Tara. I love how they interacted with each other, and how they simplest of touches between them heated up the sheets. I voluntarily read an Advanced Review Copy of this book.

Loved it

Tara and Caleb met at 17 at their parents wedding and fell in love. Tara a honor roll student and Caleb the bad boy. Tara's father wasn't having it and shipped Caleb off to military school, breaking Tara's heart.

10 years later, Caleb has turned his life around. After a stint in the Army, he is a firefighter.

Tara has spent the last 10 years trying to get over Caleb. Finishing her Physical Therapy internship.

A serious injury on the job throws Caleb and Tara back together. This time Caleb is going to fight for her.

A sweet and steamy second chance romance. Loved Caleb and Tara's story. Caleb's mom is strong and sweet, Tara's father does all he can to pull them apart. He is awful to both Caleb and Tara, and says some unforgivable things to not only them but his wife. In the end he redeems himself.

Caleb and Tara were always meant to be together , but not according to Tara's father Darren. It doesn't matter what Caleb does , its never enough. Even though Darren is married to Calebs' mum Cathy...not one jot. Now Caleb is older and wiser, a brilliant firefighter but no, still not good enough but when Caleb is in a terrible accident, fate takes a hand. Badly injured, Caleb needs physiotherapist and along comes...Tara. Wow.
A powerful story of two people trying to right wrongs of their past, coping with feelings and dealing with secrets so powerful , it will make you cry. I know I did. A story of love, passion, secrets, drama, forgiveness and most of all HOPE.
A story you won't forget it's so moving. Loved it.

This is a well written book that is a second chance romance. There is Tara who is about to finish up her training as a physical therapist. Then there is Caleb who is a firefighter. He gets hurt while saving a family from a fire. While in the hospital, Tara walks in and he can't believe it. It's been 10 years since they have seen each other. Theirs is a forbidden love, as their parents married. Can they make it work this time around? Will Tara risk her new career to be with Caleb? Will other secrets keep them apart as well? You'll need to read the book to find out.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope you do as well I voluntarily wrote this review from an advanced reader's copy.

Rye Hart has a knack for writing stories with characters that are both easy to like and relate to while at the same time taking you on an emotional journey. This book is no exception. Tara and Caleb were together when they were 17 but were separated by their parents (partly because their parents had recently gotten married making them step-siblings). 10 years later, fate intervenes bringing them together again after Caleb's act of heroism. There's crazy chemistry, sexy times, and some heart wrenching scenes. This really was a beautiful story about second chances and living for yourself.
I was so fortunate to receive an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. This review is my personal, honest opinion.

Had the privilege of reading and ARC copy. Caleb was a firefighter and a player. When he was done with his shift all he wanted was a cold drink and a hot woman. Tara was working on finishing up her PT degree and had no time to worry about anything else. After being hurt on the job Caleb end up needing PT and when Tara walks in he can't believe it. Their parents were married years ago and when Caleb and Tara met they both fell for each other. Their parents not liking the idea sent Caleb away and now ten years later they meet again.
Rye writes the meeting of two destined heart beautifully. Finding your true love again years later is hard, because you both have changed; but your hearts haven't and trying to ignore your heart is not something easily done.

I always enjoy Rye’s books, but this one took me awhile to get into. It didn’t really pick up for me until about half way through. When it did, things developed quickly for the couple. Caleb and Tara’s parents met and married when the kids were 17. The two teenagers fell in love, but Caleb had some adjustment and attitude issues. Because Tara’s Dad didn’t want them to be together he sends Caleb away to a Military school. After school, Caleb joins the service and doesn’t see Tara for 10 years. Now he is home and works as a fire fighter. When he is injured and needs PT, he finds out that Tara is home and is also his physical therapist. Will they have a fresh start to find love again, or will “Daddy Dearest” get in the way.

In a lot of "second Chance" stories one of the characters is/was a "douche" and has to redeem themselves to reach a HEA. That's not the case here. Yes, Caleb broke Tara's heart ten years ago but not on purpose. When their parents forced him to leave town he thought he was doing what was best for her. Ten years have past but the spark between them is still there. So is the same issue- Tara's father but he may not be their greatest issue. A health scare may pull the two apart before they can have their HEA. I loved this story. It is a very emotional read- expect laughter, anger and tears.
