I absolutely loved this collection of heartfelt holiday stories set in Regency England! Each one had a perfectly sweet romance full of the hesitation and anticipation of unexpected love. I felt like it was easy to get to know the characters quickly and connect with them and whatever their struggle or heartache was. I loved watching the happy endings unfold for each of the couples in the stories and I loved the cozy feeling that the snowy Christmas setting brought. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite because I loved them all so well- that must be a good sign :) Highly recommend!!!

There are times when I need stories that satisfy, but are quick to read. This book fits the bill. It is made up of four short stories that are well written and fun to read.

I like that I was looking at a small snippet in the characters life. The stories are all told during the Christmas season. This is the perfect book to snuggle up in a blanket to read, or give to a friend for the holidays.

It's clean! The perfect gift for my mom or mother-in-law. ;)

I love the Regency time period and loved each one of these Christmas tales. I always say that I would love to live back then, but only if I could be a Lady or Countess or someone of title. However, it was very refreshing to read a collection of stories that tell of many different classes and situations, many of which weren't easy to deal with.

I loved the traditions found within and the sweet charm that results from that special holiday magic. Each short story left me with a sweet feeling and thinking about this lovable characters.

Content: very mild romance

*I received a copy, which didn't affect my opinion in any way*

Christmas Grace is a delight. I loved each novella. Even though the stories were shorter, I felt the characters were developed and the plots were enjoyable. Each book brought the spirit of Christmas with heartfelt romance. I loved all the stories, but I especially enjoyed Let Nothing You Dismay by Jennifer Moore. I appreciated the quick read, but I still left satisfied with the touching stories. Each story felt already established with characters and the set up of the story. This is the perfect book to get you in the holiday spirit. Christmas will be here before we know it!

5 out of 5 stars!

I really loved this book of four novellas which were very different with their story lines but each one had such a fabulous Christmas feeling intertwined with the words. This is the kind of book you pick up during a busy Christmas season and can read one story, put it down and come back hours later and read the next novella in the book and feel like you never left. Each of these writers' did such a great job making the characters stand out that I remembered each and every story days after finishing the book. Another great compliment I can give is that I wished each story could have been expanded into a much longer book. I didn't want the stories to end.

I truly tried picking which one I loved the most but I couldn't do it. There was something about each story that I totally loved from the sacrifice shown from the heroine in 'Let Nothing You Dismay', to the loving and charming Governess in 'Christmas at Canterwood', then there was the kindly and angelic family that sheltered and loved the homeless in 'Winter Angel',and with the last story, 'Christmas Grace' we see true miracles happen when Gordon and Grace meet and plan a Christmas celebration to benefit others that ends up enriching their own lives.

Christmas Grace should definitely be on the top of your list of books to purchase for those lovers of Regency Romance and those that just love satisfying, heart-filled Christmas stories.

This is a great book to get you in the Christmas spirit. They're love stories that happen over the Christmas season, but I found them to be more than that. I think each of them show the true meaning of the spirit of Christmas. The stories take place in the Regency era but aren't about the holidays being celebrated by the titled and elite, and each one is completely different. I couldn't pick a favorite because I like each one for different reasons.

The individual stories are short enough that you can read one while taking a break, but the writers are still able to give enough details about the characters and make you care about them. The stories don't feel rushed. All of these are definitely sweet, clean romances.

This set of four novellas was everything I wanted in a Christmas collection--miracles, cheer, and lots of joy. I just wish it had come with hot wassail as well. These authors all did an excellent job creating characters I loved in a short amount of time (which is super hard to do with novellas) with settings rich with detail that helped me join their Christmas journey. I highly recommend this collection. It made me smile.

Jennifer Moore-Let Nothing You Dismay – Millie and Benedict (Ben) are childhood sweethearts who vow to elope before he heads off to join his dad in India. But 8 years later, they are still unwed due to a horrible misunderstanding.  The two come together in this second chance story, and it was poignant and touching. Moore did a good job, setting up characters that really spoke to me. I felt their emotional angst and loved the setting, dialogue, and plot. My only small gripe was it ended too fast (most novellas do). I like more closure and happily ever after shown to me. But novellas usually don't give me that. This was so good, I wanted a full book length with these characters.

Krysta Lynn Jensen--Christmas at Canterwood – A cute governess helps her young charges stir up the true meaning of Christmas, but needs help from the quiet, sober young vicar to keep things right before the Lord as they write and put on a Christmas play for the family. This one has quiet, subdued characters that were fun to watch and cheer for from the sidelines. When love is stirred up as well during this Christmas production, it’s fun to see the subtle sparks fly between the two characters.

Anita Stansfield—Winter Angel—Joseph has noticed the pretty baker’s daughter who always delivers bread to the poor as he walks around town to get to his job. He feels grateful for sweet angels like her who work to relieve the suffering all around him. When his luck turns and he finds himself homeless and unable to help himself, his angel helps him, and what transpires between them as they get to know each other is a true Christmas miracle. Loved these two characters, and especially Mariah’s awesome father. Bravo.

Chalon Linton—Christmas Grace--Grace, widowed a year ago, determines to show respect to her dead husband by continuing his charitable Christmas traditions in their home village. She braves storm and snow to head home, but a carriage accident turns her fate a different direction, to a bachelor named Gordon who comes to her aid. I loved seeing their hearts knit together through this sweet story, and loved the ending where I was seeing stars.

This is such a perfect book of Christmas novellas, I loved each and every one of them. I loved that each of the novellas is an easy, quick read that I was able to read and enjoy fairly quickly. There was something great about each and every one of them!

I loved Jennifer Moore's "Let Nothing You Dismay." I loved the way that it was a little bit like An Affair to Remember in that the main character is hurt but doesn't want to let the man she loves know. And the man is confused, yet still in love with her. This was such a great story. I loved the whole feel of it.

Next up is "Christmas at Canterwood" by Krista Lynn Jensen. I loved Julia, the main character, in this one. I loved that she was willing to work hard to be a governess, and she was a great governess. She worked hard to lead her young charges to be kind to each other and others. I loved the service opportunity that she and the young vicar came up with for the kids. I also loved the scene where they act out the nativity together.

"Winter Angel" by Anita Stansfield was a fun one as well. I loved Mariah and the way she and her family took care of London's poor and homeless by feeding them every day. But my favorite thing about this one, was the extra special treat she came up with and the note including a modified scripture she added.

And last, but not least was "Christmas Grace" by Chalon Linton. I liked Grace in this one. She's a widow of about a year, ready to move on with her life. And pay tribute to her husband in a way he would have loved. I love how much planning on her part went into the Christmas Eve party for the children. I loved how Gordon was willing to jump in and plan and work just as hard as Grace was.

This is such a great Christmas collection, it definitely put me into the mood for the whole Christmas season. Too bad Christmas is still too months away!

This book is called Christmas Grace by Jennifer Moore, Krista Lynne Jensen, Anita Stansfield, and Chalon Linton. This book has four different stories in it that include falling in love. In the first story, Let Nothing you Dismay, is about these two people who are friends and have been friends since they were young. Something happens to the girl and it hurts their relationship. The second story, Christmas at Canterwood, is about this family that wants to help people have warmth over Christmas. They also make presents for their mother and father who are not home while they are collecting things to make people warm. The next story, Winter Angel, is about this person who wants to help the homeless so she brings bread around to the homeless. When she is going home, she sees this man who is hurt very badly. She brings him to her families bakery and helps him out. The last story, Christmas Grace, is about this woman who lost her husband and someone helps her while she’s traveling.
This book is a very good book! It helps you realize how many people want to help people out and how many people are willing to help out. This book switches the sides of the stories which can get a little confusing, but, once you get into the book, it’s easier to know who’s talking. Once you are done reading this book, you have a good feeling inside and you want to get up and help someone. The authors of these stories have a good perspective on the world. These stories are about helping people. I agree with them, you should help and serve others. Once you do that, you’ll feel good inside. Some of the characters voices or opinions are stronger than others. Once you’re done reading, you have a good feeling inside. You don’t want to quit reading either. These characters are so giving and I love reading about generosity.
When you serve, or help others, good things come your way. In Winter Angel, Mariah helps a man, Joseph, who was hurt really badly. Her, her brother, and her father take Joseph into their home and help him out. Joseph doesn’t have any money and their family gives him a job. Good things come to that family for helping Joseph out. In Christmas Grace, Grace is going to her town she use to live in before her husband passed away. On the way, the carriage tips over and she is stuck in there. A man named Gordon comes and helps Grace get out of the carriage. He takes her and the people she’s with into his home and helps them until the roads are clear enough to travel on again. He gets good things in return as well. When you serve, and are willing to serve, you’ll get good things back in return!

This Regency Christmas Collection contains 4 short stories, each about 5 or 6 long chapters. After reading the entire collection, I was trying to pick which one was my favorite to share for this review, however, I honestly enjoyed all of them!

The stories were long enough to have a good plot and to develop all the characters. I really enjoyed each individual Christmas story and I highly recommend this great Christmas Collection! Each story will leave you happy and joyful, especially if you're a Christmas Holiday story fan like me!

Each regency time period story was well written and perfect to get you in the holiday spirit.

Romance - Sweet and Clean
Violence - None

This is a fabulous collection of short Christmas Romances. We are pulled out of the typical London Ballroom and various house parties which is refreshing. Each story is written well, developing characters that you are invested in and looking forward to their happily ever after. Two of the authors in this collection I hadn't read before, but Jennifer Moore and Chalon Linton are absolute favorites of mine and must reads.

My favorite of the 4 was definitely the first in this collection, Let Nothing You Dismay, by Jennifer Moore. For me, there were elements that reminded me of the Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr movie, "An Affair to Remember", which I absolutely loved!

It is impossible to state which of the four short stories complied in this novel is the best...they are ALL INCREDIBLE!

If this does not get one into the Christmas spirit, I can't imagine what will!

1.) The first story, Let Nothing You Dismay by Jennifer Moore, is a delightful story set in England. It is a bittersweet story of romantic interlude gone wrong and if through time, love can endure.

It contains a flare of the movie An Affair to Remember.

2.)the second story is Christmas at Canterwood by Krista Lynne Jensen.
This is an outstanding tale of Christmas in a community in England.

A Recently Hired Governess - and former daughter of a recently deceased vicar - and an elderly grandmother is caring for the children while the parents had to make a long journey alone.

The local vicar is invited to the home by the grandmother who has a special project she would like accomplished before Christmas. It puts a lot of responsibility on the vicar and governess.

This tale is set during the years of War with Napoleon Bonaparte when many of those left behind, while the men were sent to fight, lived in such poverty.

While the events unfold, the reader feels such strong excitement and inspiration toward the Christmas Season.

3.) Story three, Winter Angel by Anita Stansfield is an inspiring and touching tale. It is a tale of "charity, the pure love of Christ".

The owners of Pritchard Bakery were just such people. It was a tradition instilled in them for generations. The way they started every day, seven days a week....A little extra at Christmas.

It wasn't just the one daily tradition but many other acts of kindness.

The fourth and final story is Christmas Grace by Chalon Linton (the only one I am unfamiliar with but an impressive talent).

This is a story of a young widow who, at the end of her year of mourning had a sudden revelation of how best to honor her deceased husband. Against her mother's proclamations, she hurriedly packed, determined to travel with her entourage to attend to traditional festivities at her manor. However, there was an accident so her arrival threatened to be tragically delayed.

This brings ideas of new Christmas traditions one can apply in one's own life (as does the entire book) and how one individual found new meaning in his life in helping to relieve a woman's worries

All four were extremely well-written and captivating.

The Title Cover and content are all a "perfect fit".

This truly deserves a Five Stars rating.

📚✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨📚
Title: Christmas Grace, A Regency Christmas Collection
Series: Standalone
Authors: Jennifer Moore, Krista Lynn Jensen, Anita Stansfield, Chalon Linton
Genre: Historical Romance, Holiday Novellas
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

📝 My Thoughts: Graceful Giving & Grace
This sweet Christmas anthology offers four gentle Regency romances filled with hope, healing, and holiday warmth. Like most collections, it has a few standout gems and a couple that did not resonate with me as much, but the overall tone is cozy and uplifting. Perfect for readers who want something clean, heartwarming, and easy to enjoy in a single sitting.

🎁 Let Nothing You Dismay by Jennifer Moore
A beautiful second chance romance between childhood friends whose relationship ended in heartbreak. Years later, a long overdue Christmas gift brings them face to face again.
What I loved: emotional depth, engaging characters, a tender reunion. A strong start to the collection.

🎄 Christmas at Canterwood by Krista Lynn Jensen
A delightful tale of a governess who pours her heart into creating a magical holiday for her young charges, only to find unexpected love along the way.
What I loved: charming atmosphere, sweet chemistry, feel good moments. One of the clear favorites.

🌨 Winter Angel by Anita Stansfield
A kindhearted baker continues her family’s tradition of helping the poor and meets a young man who needs kindness just as much as bread.
What I liked: the message of compassion.
What fell short: the characters and romance felt flat and did not fully connect for me.

✨ Christmas Grace by Chalon Linton
A touching story about a grieving woman who returns home to uphold a beloved family tradition. A snowstorm interrupts her plans but also brings new hope.
What I liked: a gentle healing theme and a heartfelt message about grace and perseverance.
What fell short: the pacing dragged at times and the emotional payoff felt muted, making the story less impactful than the others.

💬 Who I Recommend It To:
Readers who enjoy clean, low angst romance, second chance stories, cozy Christmas settings, and uplifting historical novellas. The stories stand alone and do not need to be read in any order. No major triggers.

📚 Writing Quality: Strongest in the first two novellas
📖 Readability: Smooth, light, perfect for a cozy evening

🔖 Favorite Quote:
“Life is not easy. She met his gaze. It is unpredictable. It is work. But you would find strength along that road. Deep, fought for strength.”

📌 Final Verdict:
A lovely holiday read with two truly heartwarming standouts. Curl up with a blanket and enjoy the sweet seasonal magic. ☕️🎄

Looking for some Christmas stories guaranteed to pull on your heart strings? Are you a fan of Traditional Regencies? Then you will love Christmas Grace, a compilation of four novellas written by four talented authors, Jennifer Moore, Krista Lynne Jensen, Anita Stansfield, and Chalon Linton. Not only are there four incredible Christmas tales tucked inside, but also a listing accompanying each of the writers novella's sharing other great books that they have written, just in case you find yourself wanting a bit more. All four novellas take place during the Christmas season and offer readers not only a touch of romance, but a theme of grace in each one.

Let Nothing You Dismay by Jennifer Moore conveys a couples plans to escape into the night and journey onward to adventures across the continent until an unexpected delay causes them to both consider that they other had a change of heart. Can the explanation reunite them again 8 years later?

Christmas at Canterwood by Krista Lynne Jensen addresses a young governness who makes plans with the help of handsome vicar to surprise the children's parents who are due to arrive home just in time for Christmas.

Winter Angel by Anita Stansfield shares a heartwarming tale of a young woman who wants to help the impoverished people in town with more than tasty treats her family makes each day at the local bakery. She finds a wounded man she has seen on each of her travels and feels a connection between them that surpasses human logic.

Christmas Grace by Chalon Linton portrays a young widow who has spent the last year in mourning for her husband and wants to carry on his tradition of bring Christmas spirit to those in her hometown, yet when an unexpected accident leaves her stranded in a wealthy mans estate, could God have planned a divine appointment instead?

I received Christmas Grace by Jennifer Moore, Krista Lynne Jensen, Anita Stansfield and Chalon Linton compliments of Covenant Communications. These stories are so amazing that you feel like you are getting a full length novel instead of a short novella. Reminders of Charles Dickens and Jane Austen a breathed into each and readers will find themselves transported back in time when love was in the air and the Spirit of Christmas Hope and Grace remains alive even to the least of them. I easily give this one a 5 out of 5 stars in this reader's opinion and will now be searching out their other books to add to my personal library.

A delightful group of Christmas stories! 4 stars.

“Let Nothing You Dismay” Jennifer Moore 4 stars
Poignant story of two childhood friends who’s love and devotion was strong enough to desire forever love. A tragic accident and eight years deterred their plans.

“Christmas at Canterwood” Krista Lynne Jensen 3 stars
Handsome vicar Thomas Longley is thrown together with governess Julia Seaton as her little charges decide to put on a Christmas play about the birth of Jesus. It’s a sweet story where we see the usual stoic vicar come alive with interest and personality.

“Winter Angel” Anita Stansfield 4 stars
This is a tender story of Mariah, a young baker, who takes care of the poor and downtrodden of London by graciously handing out freshly baked bread every day. One day she comes upon a beaten man that if ignored, will certainly die of his injuries and the freezing elements.

“Christmas Grace” Chalon Linton 3½ stars
Widowed Grace Hershaw is traveling to her country home for Christmas and is in an accident that renders she and her maid stuck in an upside-down coach. They are rescued and housed at Gordon Burgess’s estate. Because the storm has made the roads impassable, the traveling group must stay. Gordon is kind enough to not only welcome and care for them, but is willing to help Grace plan and carry out the special Christmas fete she is planning for her village.

I thought this was a sweet collection of Christmas romance stories.

Let Nothing You Dismay by Jennifer Moore
This story reminded me a bit of An Affair to Remember but regency style. It is a second chance romance and was very sweet once the reason for the failed elopement was exposed. I enjoyed the story.
****

Christmas at Canterwood by Krista Lynn Jensen
If I were to describe this story in one word it would be "delightful". I loved the idea of the privileged children working to assist the needy and in so doing enhancing their own Christmas. And giving the Christmas play as a gift to the parents was the sweetest thing ever.
*****

Winter Angels by Anita Stansfield
This was a lovely story that showed the true spirit of Christmas (lived through out the year) and the goodness of Christlike people. Sweet romance.
*****

Christmas Grace by Chalon Linton
I think that I would have liked this one better in a longer novel version. I liked the premise of the story but think it needed more development. The idea of honoring one's deceased spouse by continuing his tradition was lovely and I also loved the theme of hope.
***

If you are wanting to escape into some lovely Christmas Regency romance then sit down with this one.

No sex, language or violence

Let Nothing You Dismay-
Sweet and solid storytelling. It felt like the flashback parts should happen in a longer format, not a short story. But it worked out okay. Definitely the strongest of the collection. I couldn't help but think of Sleepless in Seattle while reading it.

Christmas at Canterwood-
While this was okay, I never felt the connection that was supposed to be there for the two main characters. It was too clean and tied up with a bow.

Winter Angel-
Did not read. I just can't with this author. She reaches some people, but her writing style is sterile, and I don't want to take the time if I already know I'm not going to like it.

Christmas Grace-
I liked this one. Didn't think it was the strongest story from her. It was awkward to have the main character's thoughts constantly return to her dead husband but not to the man she is supposedly falling in love with. Just felt awkward and that it needed more time to let the story play out. I liked the characters and the premise of the story. It just felt rushed.

If I had to describe this collection in one word, I'd call it sweet. The stories are all quite different, but when I finished each one my first thought was how sweet each story was. And, even more important than sweet stories, I also came away being inspired to look for and help those in need this Christmas.

Novellas can be tricky. Some are too rushed, and just don't feel complete, but I thought each of these authors did a good job of engaging me and making me care about the characters. It is a perfect collection for a quick romance with a Christmas setting.

I can see myself reading this again.

Very short stories, from 36 pgs-50. All Christmas themed. I'm not usually a fan of short stories especially when they are showing a relationship from start to finish but somehow these four worked. They didn't feel too rushed, though I'm sure they'd be fine stretched out into longer stories.

They covered the essential parts, made you connect and feel for the characters and set the scenes without a lot of distraction. Having recently read a book that only covered about 5 months but took nearly 400 pages to do it there is something to be said for short and sweet. At least sometimes.

Two of the authors were new to me but didn't disappoint.

I loved all the stories in this book. Each story was fun, clean, and different. The first story reminded me of the old movie with Cary Grant "An Affair to remember." Such a touching story. The second was just fun, to see two people who seemed like they didn't want love but found it anyways. "Winter Angel" was a good story too, loved how her family helped poor and needy. The last story I wasn't sure about, but I liked it. I would definitely read this book again, was fun to read around Christmas time.

Loved the short Christmas stories of hope, charity, and love that surpasses time! Perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit!

Let nothing you dismay: why Millie doesn’t meet Ben to elope at midnight?

Christmas at Canterwood: a governess that changes a vicars thoughts on marriage as they collect wood for the needy.

Winter angel: Mariah’s family tradition to bring small loaves of bread to the poor on the street. Joseph’s instant connection.

Christmas grace: an overturned carriage on the way to celebrate a widow’s husband life of hope. Grace brings hope to Gordon.
