Interesting read - I learned some things but disagree with much of this book. It's also far more optimistic about the future than I think we can be. The optimism is a good thing, I just can't agree with some of it. I bought the book assuming it's secular perspective, so I wasn't surprised, and it was very interesting to read a lot of the speculation about what the future will hold for our kids. Some of the speculation is given a positive spin, when in actuality it's a terrible or disturbing prospect, like eliminating all so called boring jobs with computers/bots so that people can do more interesting jobs. That sounds nice, but I think some people will just rather have a job, even if it's menial. Speculation about sex bots is not criticized in any way. etc.. I do think this is the way tech is going though, so it might be a good eye opener for many people.
