For months Michelle has known another demon would come after her. What she doesn’t know is that it’s already stalking her friends, hunting her colleagues. Instead, her attention has been focused on learning all she can about witch clans, the engagement ring on her finger, and why Elron won’t set a wedding date.
Elron has a secret, one he’s afraid could ruin his relationship with Michelle. He knows the demon has arrived. He knows it’s only a matter of time before it strikes.
When a detective from a neighboring town calls Michelle, some secrets will be revealed, but will she discover the demon in time to protect the people she loves? Will she survive a fight not just for her life but for her very identity, the core of what makes her a witch?
I had read the first 5 of this series before starting this one. The first 4 were fantastic, could not put them down. Then a major conflict was resolved and it felt like book 5 was searching for a plot. This one was worse, I read the first 25% of the book and then skipped to near the end to get the resolution. I do not plan to read the last 2. But I highly recommend 1 -4.
Michelle is trying to get back to normal and figure out a wedding date but things are never that easy, she’s still expecting a demon or demons to come after her. Unknown to her, Elron figured out that a demon is already around. He just hasn’t found the right time to tell her. When her old friend Tiffany is murdered by a demon and the new medical examiner seems to thing she has something to do with it, things start to get messy. There is another attack on a police training facility, with several deaths and an attack at one of Elron’s greenhouses. Michelle has to figure out how to stop the demon, maybe all demons, but it will take a lot of work, research and help. There is action, lots of magic, suspense, sadness, surprises and the great characters. Some new friends, some old. This was a very enjoyable read, much better than the last book. I’m really looking forward to the next installment.

This is an entertaining paranormal urban fantasy series. The great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Michelle Oak is a witch. They have gained the knowledge for a very long time. Other demons are on her trail. Can she battle this demon and defeat him with the demon target people surrounding her. Who knows. Demons are evil and do nasty things. Read on and see if Michelle and Elaron can Defeat the evil and win the day.
Wow! Overload time. This book was so action packed. It had lots of scary moments, lots of how will they get through this moments. It was fantastic. The one constant was the love between Michelle and Elron, plus the love and support of their friends and family, they fight together, love together. There are some huge surprises near the end. A truly excellent finale to a fantastic series. In fact, a dam good read Sue P
This book is the 6th in the series and feels like it could have ended here with everything packed into the storyline. I’m happy though that there is more to this world and to see what the next adventure (or catastrophe?) brings. Hopefully it won’t be as filled with some heartache, even if the sad parts really helped the plot line of this book. Off to start book 7!
I have read ever book in the series up to through this one. They get better each time, but leaving me saddened that I have to wait. Like getting to the end of a bottle of your favorite wine, you have tried to slowly sip but now it is all gone and the wait for the next seems long. Great read!
This book was scary at times, sad, and also sweet. The ending read like the end of a series but I know there's another book. There was so much in here that I can't reveal without spoilers so I'll refrain, but it was very, very good. Michelle takes on her biggest battle yet and loses so much but then gains so much more.
Another freaking demon. And another, and another. Michelle and, to a lesser degree, Elron, are the last Hunters, demon hunters. The demon hunting Michelle this time had her thinking of the future. Kill this demon and another will hunt her. She will never be safe as long as a demon exists. Can Michelle create a spell to kill all demons? Can she survive it?
I cried with this book and laughed with it..This series has been Fantastic..can't wait for the next one to see where Michelle, Elron, the premire goes from here..from loosing friends to revenge,it keeps you in supense. Can't wait for the next one.
A rattling good read. Conneeley builds a world with all the creatures of fantasy and horror, with technology of the modern era, and with an intersection of the two that is consistently entertaining, engaging and thrilling. A page turner with heart and a sly wit.
I absolutely loved this series!! I usually dont write reviews but there was something refreshing and different about this series that I devoured it within a couple of weeks. I just couldn't put it down and I desperately want more.
A good story. Michelle lost a few friends in this one. At least ending all the demons means the next books won’t be rehashing a demon 😈 is after us, so I do look forward to them.
Michelle, along with Elron, battles another demon with some help from friends. Michelle is injured in the battle and no one knows if she will fully recover.
