Page turner
This is book two in the series love love each character . The storyline just gets better lots of action . Can't wait fore the next book . Luckily for me its out tomorrow . Definitely recommend .

"Past Haunts", second in the 'Kelsey's Burden' series is more tightly focussed than the first book, 'Layered Lies'.
At the same time it is plagued by spelling errors (the ones that a spell checker won't find) - two glaring examples were 'free reign' and 'peaked Bones' interest'.
While it does have a plot all its own the main focus is on setting the stage for books to come, revealing some details of Kelsey's past, and edging forward the possible recovery of her adopted son, Nicholas.
It has a blazing finale in which Kelsey does a Butch & Sundance, guns blazing!
It's an enjoyable read but is not very memorable.

I’ve read all of the Davina Ravine series and recently finished the second book in this new series. While I do enjoy the books, I find myself getting frustrated. Most of the story tends to drag, with the plot only picking up in the last 30%. The final sections are always packed with action and cliffhangers that leave me wanting to continue the series, but the slow pacing in the first half of each book feels disappointing. I’m honestly not sure if I’ll keep reading this series—it’s becoming hard to stay invested when so much of the story feels drawn out.

Great characters and story
This is the first book I have read in this series. I love it! I love all the variations and quirks in the characters. They are so entertaining. The story is full of great action and has layers. Some of them are heavy. I will definitely go back and read book one and all the rest in the series. Totally entertaining!!

Well worth reading
I stumbled onto the series while browsing thru Amazon kindle. I have read the first two books of the series today and cannot wait to read the rest. The cast of characters in my family, the storyline is intense and intriguing and filled with lots of layers. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series and then to read other things by this author.

love this series !
I can’t get enough of Ms Hunter’s books . This new series Of Kelsey’s Burden will keep you on the edge of your seat. I love all the characters in these books. The only problem with Ms Hunter books are there so good I can’t put them down. Which isn’t a bad thing. Please keep bringing us these awesome books. Thank you for giving me hours of reading pleasure.

Intriguing series.
I was hooked after the first book. Plenty of action and a dysfunctional perfectly functioning extended family with more crazy adventures and deadly entanglements than any other book I've read. Will definitely complete this series!!

They keep getting better
This book was better than the first one. The characters are so well defined and you really feel like you are in the middle of whatever is going on. I laughed, cried, felt the anger and cheered for them. Can't wait to read the next book.

Family keeps growing. It's good
