What a crazy set of ways that Sammy plans are for getting treats!I
I enjoy the stories of Sammy's antics, large illustrations as well -as the easy to read font size, too. Therefore I wish to recommend it especially for kids ages 0-8 and or in grades P-3 who loves to read Sammy's books. I received this eBook for free using KU, in return, here is honest review. Super Work V! By Sunny
This is an entertaining story about a red bird whose mother ratted him out to the neighbor. She did it for all the right reasons. He had cavaties and needed no candy. I picked a few of his trial runs at getting candy at doors. Ding Ding. Are you, by any chance, giving out candy for Halloween? Maybe? Just one piece, please? Ding Dong. Trick or treat. I'm not Sammy. Caught me. Goodbye. Ding Dong. Ahoy Mate. Raisins? Yuck! Fruit is not candy. Goodbye. Does he ever get candy? Does he finally eat the raisins? Listening/Team Reading is the way to go (Team reading is where you read some and your partner read some. A winning combination.)
We all know to much candy is bad. But this gives the impression that children should not go have fun trick or treating. Maybe I looked too much into it. The pictures were cute, it was slightly interactive, but the message was off for me.
These books are way too cute! My nephew and I like reading them at bedtime. However, he’s started begging to eat them all the time. Only one other book has captivated him like this. Sammy is a trip! Goofy bird!
Oh my goodness! My four year old twin boys were hysterically laughing at this. So much fun! This was the best "Birdie" book (as my kids call them) yet!
