TANK is the second book in the Devil’s Nightmare MC series by USA Today Bestselling Author Lena Bourne, but it can be read as a standalone novel. Full length book, No Cliffhanger, HEA Guaranteed!TankI always had a thing for redheads, but between their wildness and fiery temper, I kept getting burned. Now that I'm VP of my motorcycle club, my wild and crazy days are over. But I lost none of my taste for redheads. So when Kim, the first redhead I've ever known who can keep her fire hidden behind a cool, though slightly uptight exterior appears in my life, the only sensible thing to do is go after her. Catch her, tame her and maybe even keep her. And she's not resisting either. She wants to be caught. There's only one problem. I'm an outlaw biker, a killer wanted in five states, and she's the Sherriff's daughter. They say love conquers all, but this might be the exception that proves the rule.KimI've always been the good girl. From taking care of my mother and my brother with Down's Syndrome after my dad died, to becoming an internationally-renowned investigative journalist by the age of thirty-two. Now I'm burned out and living at home again, taking care of my frail mother while my step-dad campaigns for county Sheriff. I deserve a break and I deserve to have some fun, not that I've ever let myself enjoy much of either. When Tank, a bad boy every girl dreams about having at least once, starts chasing me, I decide to do something for myself for a change. What I didn't expect was to fall for him quite so hard. Nor was I ready for the secrets he keeps and how they could destroy my whole family, the one thing I've spent my whole life Devil's Nightmare MC is biker romance novel, which contains steamy sex scenes and deals with disturbing themes that may be uncomfortable for some readers. Intended for 18+ audiences.

I love hearing from my readers! Here's just some ways you can find me online...
This is an exciting Mc story. Another great book in the Devils Nightmare MC books. Tank was starting to hate all the death. Even if he always carried out what his job was for the Mc anything for his brothers but so much death it's starting to get to him. When he goes to volunteer at a home for mentally challenged he meets a Beautiful fiery red head named Kim. He knew she was gonna be his. He didn't even mind having to work to get her. He lied because she thought he was a want a be biker. He knew his lies will catch up with him. Kim was a journalist but was taking time out because of things that happened in Africa. Her mom was close to a breakdown because her stepfather was running for Sheriff he'd been threatened. Her mom was important to kim. When Kim meets Tanks she thinks he might be trouble but will they get together. This story has action suspense hot bikers beautiful woman hot sex scenes it's a really great story that will keep you reading til the very last page. I loved this book. I can hardly wait to see what's next by this amazingly talented author.
I liked this book more than book 1. The cover model is hoooot!!
Tank and Kim are a good match. There’s no unnecessary pushing away or denial of their mutual attraction. The romance was pretty fast, insta-lust kind of thing. I guess it’s good they waited a week before they got it on. I just found it weird that there was no mention of birth control or condoms at all...
I liked how Tank struggled with his job and with his desire to live HEA with Kim. It was a tad unbelievable though that he never asked or didn’t even check who Kim was. She’s the stepdaughter of the man that Tank is supposed to kill.
In the end, I liked how Tank and Kim resolved the conflict and accepted each other.
Tank was the second book in the Devil’s Nightmare MC series by Lena Bourne.
Tank was the VP of the MC. He was cold, emotionless and one to be feared. But he had a weakness for red heads. Enter Kim.
Kim was an investigative reporter that had traveled the world but was home temporarily taking care of her mother who suffered from anxiety attacks and mental illness. Her stepfather was running for the local town Sheriff and the election was making her mother’s illness worse. For a respite, she met Tank and threw caution to the wind for a one night stand.
The story was intriguing in that it was suspenseful but it wasn’t very plausible. Additionally, there were several plot holes that didn’t make sense but were written as if they were previously explained but left on the editing floor, so to speak. And lastly, I couldn’t handle the word “retard.” I totally wish the author would edit and correct the references. No spoilers so no elaboration, but it wasn’t cool.
Otherwise, if you like rough around the edges Bikers with sexy scenes and a hint of dark and violent mystery on “how in the world can he make this scenario work”, then you’ll enjoy the series. The brooding Rook is up next in book three.
What a crying shame. I was hoping to love Tank’s story after reading about him in book one. How further from the truth did that turn out?!
At least the cover was a good one.
Anyway- There is no redeeming this guy. He might be a great boyfriend, and say all the right things to Kim, but the few things he does through out the book leaves him without a moral compass even less so, for a biker book. He is who he is, and makes no excuses, but what he says in a pretend threat about the woman he loves- really? I can normally just dust off whatever I read in these books but not this one.
But before I state why- I don’t get why they had to throw in the opening scene for Kim. It doesn’t even play a role later in the story. We only hear about it at the very end. Lame. I could have done without it and have only be told about it.
Also- she’s too stupid to like at the end. I can’t even like her to redeem her now, either.
Why you my ask? 1. He kept calling the people at Greg’s Home retards. They have Down syndrome and probably other issues. Why the author had him say and think retard more than 3 times is beyond me. Pissed me off.
2. He helps in a killing of a VP in another club, but the killing goes wrong and he and his club brothers end up killing the wife too and leave their 3-yr-old alive in the middle of practically nowhere - hoping someone will find him. The kid is found clutching his dead bloody Mom on the side of the road.
3. He threatens Kim’s stepdad to give up his sheriff campaign. Which was fine until he decides to state he will kill the depressed wife, the retarded son who stutters, and mentions a few times to flat out raping Kim and breaking her.
Hmmm- that doesn’t work for me. Even if you are trying to make it so you don’t have to kill your woman’s stepdad- and you tell her you love her even though you’ve been lying to her the whole book about who you are- just even pretending you’ll do these horrible things can’t redeem you in my eyes.

So this one I gave this one 4- 4/1/2 stars. I liked Tank in the last book and I liked him in this one, and I felt for Kim at the beginning of this book and understand why she went home. I didn't have any issues with Tank and Kim and their relationship per-say, but when it came to the secondary characters, I just didn't like some of them and their attitude. There were just little things that got me. But if you ignore little things then this is a good book. Tank and Kim are a good couple and Tank comes out in the end to be a wonderful man. I would have liked to have seen more of Cross and his woman some more, but that is just my thoughts. Another good book by Lena Bourne. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
It was just ok for me. I had quite a few problems with several things in the book. I noticed in the previous book for this series that the author writes the MC members as being stone cold killers but then they're so soft and have a vocabulary of a refined, sophisticated man. I really didn't like the way the h, for being such a do gooder, immediately forgot/forgave Tank's part in the plot to kill her step-father.
If you follow my reviews you know that I'm addicted to MC Books. I found this genre and I simply fall in love with it. The odd thing is that I don't like to ride a bike. Lol. Lena Bourne's first book that I've read was an MC book and I was addicted. I loved the way she wrote it and the feelings that she could evoke in me. Her writing is intense, raw and hot, trust me she knows what she is doing. Tank is her latest release and it's so good. This book explores the lifes of Tank and Kim. Tank is the VP of the Devils Nightmare MC and a wild guy as well. He had done very bad stuff back in the day and he regrets nothing. But when the beautiful red head crosses his path he knows only one thing... He wants her bad. Kim was always the good girl. She always put others first and taking care of her mother and brother was the right thing to do. Then she left home to become a renowned investigator journalist a job that she really loves. But now she's back home to take care of her mother again. Fall in love with the man that made her feel free wasn't difficult, but keep them together can be. Sweet baby Jesus what a book... If you have already read Cross you know what I'm saying but get ready for this one. The plot is spectacular, very well written. The interation between the characters is intense, raw and beautiful. How can you find love when you're surrounded by crime? The way the story progressed left me jumpy and nervous as hell. Dayum I was scared. But to compensate the hot scenes are magnificent and will make you blush. This story will surround you with love, desire, family, loyalty as well as crime, punishment, madness and terror. The total package if you know what I mean... I'm in love with your writing Lena and I want more. Please give me more... I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I really liked this book. the story line is great, the characters are engaging and it is well written. my problems are with the relationship between president & vice president of the club who have been best friends for years and it has thrown off the whole dynamic of the series for me. Cross comes across as selfish and his actions and comments don't gel with what i would expect from a member of a brotherhood and a best friend. i will come back to the series but need a break from it for now.
Pretty good and tame for MC romance, a bit on high on the kill side and lots of loving to make it hot. A few few areas that might give some pause like warlords in Africa and people with disabilities but very well written and explained that it just may educate you to find out more. Over all a great little romance that just happens to include an MC. Happy reading.
I love MC books. I didn’t hate this book until… why did the author see the need for the MMC to call the FMC brother a ‘retard’. Multiple times. I just couldn’t look past that. 0/5 stars
Lena Bourne knows how to write an MC book that’s filled with steam, some suspense and action. Tank, the MC V.P. has done his fair of illegal dealings and is comparable to the grim reaper. He meets a fiery red head, Kim, who makes him for the first time have second thoughts of carrying out one of his hits. She doesn’t know anything about him, she thinks he is a biker wannabe but starts piecing together the puzzle and mystery behind the man she loves and who claims to love her. Will she stay or run when she finds out the truth ? Right from the first pages it had me hooked, starting off the story that had my heart racing. Kim was a force to be reckoned with, everything she went through while being a journalist, caring for her mom and her brother when younger and now back to look after them once more. She’s kind, compassionate, a spit fire and falls in love with a man that has made her feel alive for the first time in her life. Tank makes no apologies for who he is and what he’s done as the MC is his life and even though he loves Kim he will do his job even if it means losing her. The author doesn’t play around with these stories and I love how Lena Bourne doesn’t sugar coat or make Tank to be a knight in shining armour, trying to get out of a job because it affects the woman he loves, he does what he has to do for the MC and the only thing different with this job than the others....he actually feels something while carrying it out. An amazing story with steamy scenes and I loved how when he found Kim there were no other women, just her and how she reacts when she finds out who he is and where they end up. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
This is an amazing story by Lena Bourne who is reknowned for her great story telling. In this book we meet Tank who is VP of his MC and it is his life. Whilst voluntarily helping out at a home for the disabled he meets Kim, a fiery red-head which he is always drawn to, and they become involved. It was only meant to be a one night stand and he told her lies. He made out that he was just trying to be a biker of a MC and not the VP. As an investigative journalist she finds out and this could make or break them. Her step father is the sheriff and Tank's latest job is to kill him/. It has always been the MC that was his life but now, a one night stand with Kim has turned into so very much more. What is he to do? MC or Kim? Lena weaves a very clever and interesting storyline throughout the book with intense detail that makes the story and it's characters "come alive" making this a page turning winner of a book. The connection between Tank and Kim is far more than either had anticipated or dreamed of, so how are they going to be able to be together long term? I also got this book via KU and the bonus stories are also brilliant and it is well worth it to buy this book and that is what I intend to do as they are books that I know I will re-read as they are so good. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
I'm amazed by Lena Bourne's ability to create sympathetic characters out of people who are, essentially, nothing more than cold blooded killers, well at least that's what they are at first glance but what emerges is so much more complex than that. While I personally couldn't get over my sensitivities enough to be with someone like the men in these books I can see why these women fall so hard. I also loved the fact that the book drew attention to the plight of young women at the hands of fanatics such as Boko Haram. Kim bears witness to this first hand and realises how powerless she is to stop what is happening, all she can do is draw attention to it and hope that something gets done. Tank wouldn't have thought twice about the job he was asked to do but because of what Kim has grown to mean to him he realises that doing it could cost him the best thing that ever happened to him. Will he be able to think creatively enough to save not only Kim's family but their relationship as well? I look forward to the next book in the series as I enjoy all the characters but must say that I am most looking forward to Ice's book as he is, to me at least, the most sympathetic and equally terrifying characters.
Book 2 and one of the things that really bothers me is the intimate scenes. There are frilly poetic words without actual descriptions of what is going on. It's bizarre. Like, Kim goes on about how his kiss is a hard wind and it goes on and on, yet nothing about his lips & how they feel. Was it hard or soft? Wet or Dry? Idk. Beyond that the story was just, meh. It could have been great but his moral compass is so far off it's hard to forgive.
Being OK with leaving a 3 year old baby at the scene of his parent's murder is hard to forgive. And then being willing to kill your woman's stepfather which will leave her a broken mess is also beyond forgivable. He knows how her mom is an anxiety ridden mess because of the dangers after her stepfather. What did he think killing him would do to the mom and by association, Kim?
I get that Tank was broken because of his past, but, he was so far gone, it was hard to route for him at all.
**NOTE** The word "retard" was used. At first it was used in a way that would be acceptable because Tank got aggravated when someone else in the MC used the word and he corrected them... So tell me why, later, Tank then used the word more than once when referring to the same people he stuck up for in the first place? No cool.
Tank is a hot, alpha, bad-ass biker. He has done a lot of bad stuff, but he does good too, in the hopes that it all balances out.
Kim is a journalist, and she has seen and endured some bad things. The latest story she was covering ended in a really bad way, and she is home trying to put herself back together again, and helping to take care of her Mom and little brother at the same time.
Neither is looking for more than one night, they both know they don't belong together. But they can't seem to stay away from each other. And before long, their lives will become entangled in a way neither ever could have imagined.
The characters in this book are strong, interesting characters. The story grabs you and sucks you in right from the beginning, and keeps you pulled in all the way until the end. You will find that you just can't put it down. You have to keep reading to find out what happens next, and how it all plays out.
I love books about MC's, and Tank does not disappoint! While second in a series, it can easily be read as a standalone, although I guarantee you will want to go back and read Cross' story (Book 1) too.
Tank: Devil's Nightmare MC: Book 2 By Lena Bourne. 5 Stars*****
Tank Is Scary Good!!
Tank and Kim's story is intense, passionate and thrilling but in a different sort of way than the first book in the series. It's more about how what you don't think should matter should even if your a killer. The mindset of one can change over time when presented with circumstances that involve the heart. Tank's a clear example in this story. He may be a killer but even they have limits.
Kim herself battles with her mind of what was, but now what is. Her step father is running for sheriff. Her mom's mentally unstable and Bengi, her brother, has down syndrome. She's the rock they need in their lives, until Tank...
Devil's Nightmare MC guys are so bad yet so good. They will definitely be ones that you can count on to defend and protect you when you become part of their heart..
Enough of my rambling lol, just grab this book and start reading. I guarantee you'll enjoy it...
I have voluntarily read and I'm voluntarily reviewing this book. Reviewer for Nook Books and More Blog.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book OMG I thought Cross Book one was good but Tank was an amazing read, Tank is The VP of the Devil's Nightmare MC and he is starting to feel jaded. He tries to make amends for the bad deeds that he has to do to survive and volunteers at Benji's group home in various capacities. It is there that he meets Kim, Benji's sister, for the first time. He realizes that she is his soul mate but wants to take it slow in their relationship because he doesn't want her to be scared off. She believes that Tank is just playing at being a biker and doesn’t realize until it’s too late that he’s actually the Vice President. Tank finds out far too late that the job he’s supposed to be doing is that of killing her step father. He can’t do it. The moral dilemma and the consequences for Kim and himself far outweighs the risk to himself. Her stepfather is running for Sheriff. What does this mean for his relationship with Kim? Does he come up with a solution that works for everyone involved? Do they have their HEA
I enjoyed this one and loved getting Tank's story after having met him in the first book. This is the 2nd in the series and it can be read as a standalone though. Tank has a thing for redheads and he ends up meeting one at the place where he volunteers. Kim is there to help out her brother, who lives there as he has down syndrome. Her brother loves Tank which shows that he is a good guy, though he is in an MC that is on the wrong side of the law and doesn't shy away from killing people, though they don't like/want to kill innocents. Kim and Tank have immediate spark and chemistry and Tank isn't thinking this is really going to turn into something serious so he lets Kim make her assumptions about him and doesn't correct any but helps buy into them with what he does and that being a biker is just a hobby for him. Kim is an investigative journalist that is dealing with the aftermath of what happened on her last trip and article. Things are more complicated than either realize as well as Kim's stepfather is running for Sherriff and as he isn't in the pocket of any of the MC's and more on the straight and narrow, righteous path, the other MC's want him gone and out of running and have tasked Devil's Nightmare with making that happen and Tank is given that job. They are also still dealing with the last of Lizard's MC and taking them out and in the meantime he is also spending time with Kim. He doesn't realize that the Sherriff and Kim is connected, not until he has developed feelings for Kim and is in one heck of a dilemma that he now has to figure out if he wants any chance of anything real with Kim. There were a few twists here and there and the story was interesting and entertaining. I enjoyed getting to see more Cross and Roxie as well as some of the other secondary characters and am excited to see who's getting their story next.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
TANK is full of drama, suspense, action, and entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Devil’s Nightmare MC biker romance book that starts off with a bang, and I could not put it down, and loved the characters of Tank and Kim. This is the first time I read a book by Lena Bourne, and I must say, it was awesome, and it will not be the last. Tank is one alpha bad ass outlaw biker that is hot as hell, but MC is his life! Put that with a fiery redhead, who is the Sheriff’s daughter, and watch how the blistering hot chemistry between Tank and Kim explodes! Lena Bourne presets one of the most unseemly potential love stories, and slowly takes you through wrenching emotions. You will find yourself rooting for the ‘un-rootable’. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end
This one is a nail biter. Ms. Bourne continues to impress with us with her characters and well crafted storyline. This book is full of intense drama and high emotion thst will keep you glued to the pages.
I was surprised that I really could not anticipate what was going to happen between Tank and Kim. Tank has such a dilemma - does he follow through with his orders or does he follow his heart? Kim's situation is just a conflicted as she pieces together Tank's actions and his words. Can she love a man whose a criminal? Can the journalist in her ignore the info that unfolds right in front of her?
Really good and recommended for those MC enthusiasts.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Loved it!! Tank has lived most his life in a MC that is known for taking care of problems, but Tank also enjoys spending time at Grey House which is a home for people with disabilities. He also has a thing for redheads. He meets Kim at Grey's House one day when she is visiting her brother. Kim has been living away from home for the past few years, but has returned to help care for her mother, who suffers from panic attacks, while her step father is running for sheriff. Tank is instantly interested in Kim and Kim feels a definite attraction. This book grabs your attention and keeps you coming back for more through twists and turns. Great story of how love can make you look at things differently. I received an ARC of this book.
Kim is a journalist but she is home to help out her mother and her brother Benji after her last assignment ended badly and she still hasn’t completely healed from the outcome.
Tank is the VP of the Devil’s Nightmare MC and he is volunteering at a home for disabled youths which her brother attends. He has always done whatever was necessary to protect his club and his brothers and he has been sent to town to kill a man.
From the moment that Tank met Kim he knew that she was the one for him however she doesn’t know the things that he has done in the past. When it turns out the job he was sent to town to complete will have a deep effect on her will he choose to continue with the assignment or will he choose Kim? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
If you like your bikers stone cold but with a soft core, then Tank is your man. I enjoyed the story and the insta-lust/chemistry between Tank and Kim.
There were a few inconsistencies for me-he's friends with her brother but later says he's never understood what he said. She's a journalist but doesn't dig to find anything about him when she knows he's being evasive and he doesn't look to find out more about her. The relationship between him and Cross, they're supposed to be brothers but the brotherhood doesn't really come across.
I don't like that he refers to those in the home as r*tards. It's offensive.
The story itself is good, the plot is good and the ending is good. If you can get past the other stuff. So 2.5-3 stars from me.
Tank is a MC Vice President and Kimmie is a journalist, they meet at the Greys center where Maggies brother lives and Tank volunteers his time at. They meet and the sparks fly. Tank is a strong alpha male with a ton of charisma and a big softy for Kim and her brother in the end. Kimmie is a strong female character that was lost after some terrible events happen to her until she meets Tank. Tank makes her feel safe and like the women she has always wanted to be. But that’s not the whole story! It was a very good read and I really enjoyed it. I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading this arc.
Wow these series are proving to be the best from Lena as I did not expect it to surpass cross which was the first book in the series, but it more than delivered on all angles and you will enjoy it.
Captivating read from start to finish and boy does Tank have moves that never fail to send Kim to that place that only very few ever get the chance to experience. The chemistry is so hot, the story line absolutely engrossing that despite that some of the things the devil’s nightmare do are so wrong you just keep on rooting for them as we all want a HEA.
Highly recommend and eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.
