A blank canvas holds so much potential. With a splash of colour, it can become anything you want it to be. And sometimes, it can be so much more than you expect.
Cyan Tayse is the pen name of a multi-genre author based in New Zealand. After a lot of coaxing from friends, she decided to embark on a journey of discovery. Yes, that’s right, she embraced her desire to write things a little different to her usual, thus the Pocket Rocket and Brief Encounters novellas were born.
Cyan can often be found lurking on social media, and she loves to hear from fellow authors and readers.
I love Tayse's Pocket Rocket Novellas. They are super quick reads with a full and intriguing storyline. Blank Canvas focuses on Hailee who wants to take an art class to explore further into art, although really quite talented, she wants to expand on it. She meets model Aroha in the class and there is an instant attraction. Tayse uses beautiful and rich descriptions through the eyes of Hailee to bring the book to life, a wonderful read.
I love Cyan's books. They are easy to read, short reads. Typical me always rooting for the main character and this book was no different. Hailee's background intrigues me and I was hoping she could look beyond her past to allow herself happiness. Meeting Aroha sparks something that Hailee can not ignore and when when Aroah's attraction is returned Hailee is conflicted whether to risk being hurt again. I can not wait to see what happens for Hailee and Aroha next!
A story of getting past the heartache of breaking up. Realizing life doesn't end and the sun is right around the corner. This soft, sweet story of finding love is a sensual journey of rediscovery and very well done.
