I was born July 29, 1959 in Riverside, CA. I was adopted as a baby and my family moved around California and Oregon before settling down in Arkansas. My father died of cancer when I was six leaving behind my mother, my sister and myself. We moved several more time before finally settling down for good in a little town called Mountain Pine.

After graduating high school, I attended a community college and at age 23 married my first husband. We were married 10 years and had two beautiful children.

After a heart-breaking divorce, I moved to the Florida Panhandle with my two teenagers in 2001, to start a new life and a new job as a technical writer for a defense contractor.

The year 2006 was both the best and worst year of my life. I married my soul mate, David Masincupp in January and in December my 22 year old son passed away suddenly of a drug overdose.

I have always been a writer, but not one that would share my work with others. In 2010 I took an online creative writing class at Northwest Florida State College and that class opened my eyes to the possibility that I could share my work with others and I wouldn’t die.

Also in 2010, I wrote a poem as a tribute to my son, Richard that won first place in a writing contest and has been included in the college’s Blackwater Review and Collected Words from Writers of the Southern Coast.

I entered the NaNoWrimo in 2010 and was challenged to write 50,000 words from November 1st to the 30th. I completed my 50,000 works which laid the ground work for my novel, Let Sleeping Dogs Lie. I self-published the novel in 2011 and then re-released it again in 2012 after having it professionally edited.

I am currently working on the sequel to Let Sleeping Dogs Lie and hope to have it released late fall.

I gain inspiration and ideas for my writing from life experiences. I love to read mysteries so therefore I do most of my writing in that genre. My work is character driven and I like writing about strong women who overcome whatever obstacles life throws at them. I also get a lot of my ideas from dreams. I write down my dreams and have several working drafts based off them.

I work full time and write in my spare time. My husband, Davy, my daughter Jessica and my sister, Jesslyn have been a great source of encouragement and support, without them I wouldn’t be where I am at today.

I have made many friends from the writing community and hope to encourage others to pursue their dreams of becoming published author. My only regret is that I didn’t pursue my dreams sooner.

Full of twists and turns

This book has multiple elements that the readers may find interesting - suspense, crime, murder, mystery, love.
Though I am not sure that diabetes, cancer etc may be cured through telomeres, yet I do agree that people involved in Pharmaceutical research are always on the radar of underworld. "Underworld" doesn't mean kidnapping, extortion, killing only but it deeply penetrated in the system in multiple forms. The nexus is always successful in getting back up from the governments through the "corrupt" officers.
It was interesting to know
- about Thomas at the end of the story.
- how Mara takes a final call on Alex and Thomas
- how the Underworld supersedes the governments in power and strategy matters
- hypnosis can do wonders

The more I read, the more I learned how victims can win hearts of their abductors through warm relations, Mara and Alex are examples.
Friendship of Doyle and Kale is the reality of correctional homes throughout the world. Once a simply guy enters there, he turns into a branded criminal after release.

There is more than this in "Deadly Deception".

What an amazing turn of events to end this series

This ending of the series was riviting. So many twists and turns my head was spinning...in a good way. My only negative comment would be that there were too many characters. It was hard to keep everyone straight. Mara gets kidnapped once again but she is a true heroine. Very strong willed as a woman should be.
