All the characters return for the final part of Idi's story. Grown into a powerful magician, Idi must prepare for the war that is coming. Katrina has grown into a beautiful young lady, despite her manly attire and her affections for Absalom are worn on her sleeve. She must, however, vie for his attention against the stunning Loreiei who is set on marrying the future king of Talia. The ogre Crannog-Fergal adopts the Fart Platoon goblins and sets about building a gateway to other worlds. The Brothers decide it time to teach more people about magic, and Marcus the magician, continues to educate them all in the ways of the Elements.
A story lover from an early age, Tracy Traynor waited until she was fifty-five before chasing her dream of being an author. Now, she is an award-winning, Amazon bestselling author who writes in several genres.

Idi & The Scirocco Witch, by T N Traynor, is book three of the ‘Born to Be’ trilogy. Tracey’s easy-to-read style kept my attention all weekend. She builds scenes with great atmosphere and situations that many would recognise from childhood. Passion for her subject and sensitivity lead to an unexpected conclusion. A pleasure to read.
This was an excellent way to wrap up this three book series. There were so many characters that had been introduced throughout the story. The author did a good job of pitting them all in the final battle. While I won't spoil it by giving anything away, destinies were revealed for all of the characters. Idi was able to finally forgive his 'arch enemy' from his youth (this particular scene of forgiveness near the end was very touching!); the oracles numbers grew; the elves were created; the Goblin Fart Platoon and the Ogres became family; the future rulers of the land were determined; the Brothers fate was told; the witches and the Cassandra and so many more. To have so many different characters and wrap them up in this story, the author did this extremely well! As the 'final epic battle' raged on, each character's role in that final battle was observed. This was a very good read. From book one page 1 to this book three final page, it was pleasant and enjoyable. Highly recommend this book and this series!
A wonderful third book in the series! In this third installment, Idi faces the biggest challenge: to finally overcome his fears and insecurities and become what he was destined to become, in order to defeat the evil sorcerer. But it’s not only Idi who grows and matures as the story progresses: Absalom, Katrina, and even Cassandra all undergo their own transformations and show what they’re worth. As with the previous two books in the series, the story never came to a standstill and the action flowed at a steady, fast pace, making it impossible to put the story down. Humorous situations (particularly those including goblins) were masterfully dotted throughout the narration, making it an even more entertaining read. Battle scenes were simply spectacular and the ending just perfect. All three books are great, and I would definitely recommend them to all fans of the genre.
I absolutely adore this series! I flew through the first two books, and found book three to be just as exciting, well written, and gripping.
The author does a fantastic job showing character progression. Idi has overcome and learned much, and here it comes to his hardest challenge yet. Overcoming his own fear. I truly enjoy these characters, and the truth the author brings to them.
The world building pulls you right in, and the plot is layered and keeping you turning the pages. Everything is vivid and heart pounding.
This is a truly wonderful fantasy series, and I cannot recommend it enough. I look forward to reading more from this author!
Wow! So much happened in this story and kept me glued to the pages until the very end... but fortunately, it really is not the end. One part of the journey may have concluded, but life still goes on and we'll have a chance to meet these wonderful characters in yet another story, yet to be written. I can hardly wait.
New creatures appear in this story, and they are vividly described, as is everything else about this world. The character are funny, loving, creepy, and more. It's a fantasy-lovers delight.
I really liked this third book in the "Born To Be" series. This book had all the elements needed for a great fantasy story. The world building was interesting. The characters were charming and complicated. There were several types of fantastic beings such as ogres, pixies, witches, etc. There was magic, and there was some humor. Steve White's narration enhanced this fantastic story with his use of various voices for the different characters, and I enjoyed his performance. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
I generally go a little crazy on encountering a good book. Why? Because its all encompassing throwing me through a portal of ideas and immersing me in dreams.
I loved the world building. The intrigue. The lead characters and just about every damn thing about this book.
Its been a long while since I found a book worthy to go ga ga over.
T N Traynor has a beautiful way with words. I could feed on her words for a while yet. Can't wait for her next book!
In Idi & The Sirocco Witch, the characters have all grown up and come into the fullness of their powers and knowing who they are emotionally. The story is well-paced and tracks all of the main characters in an easy-to-follow manner. There was a lot of ground to cover to bring this story to an end, and yet the epilogue lets you know there will be more to come with the younger generation. This is a great book for YA and adult readers alike.
I've enjoyed every book in this series so far, and this one lived up to how good the first two were. This author has great imagination and a fun writing style. This was definitely an enjoyable read.
