Funny stories for fans of Dick King-Smith and Disney Classic animal adventures; with art by Jim Field. Maxwell Mutt might be small, but his heart is big and the city is full of adventure. Before long, he teams up with a gang of downtown dogs: Restreppo the retired police-dog, Mr B the homely bulldog and Madison the angry poodle (do not mention his hairdo). When Maxwell hears the call of a friend in need, the dogs brave the big, bright city, where they hear tales of the Collector; the cruellest ever dog-catcher. But dreams, fun and adventure are waiting along the way…

Nuostabi nuotykių knyga! Nors ant knygutės parašyta 6-9 m vaikams, bet ir suaugusiems yra iš jos tieeek ką pasimokyti! Kaip ir su animaciniais filmais - kiekviename iš jų tokia gili mintis slypi...
Labai gražus pasakojimas apie draugystę, ištikimybę, atsidavimą. Ši knyga tikra 'page turner' - veiksmo čia tiek, kad norisi vis versti puslapius tolyn ir sužinoti kaip Mišrūnui Maksiui pavyks įveikti visas kliūtis ir pasiekti savo tikslą! O ir kiek juokingų ir linksmų situacijų jam tenka patirti kelionėje! Ypatingai nerealiai patiko katino Džindžerio akcentas - vietomis kvatojau iki ašarų!!! :D
Rekomenduoju visiems, norintiems širdį sušildančios istorijos, kuri padės pabėgti nuo kasdienių rūpesčių ir įžiebs šypseną veide! :)

Din păcate, primul stăpân al lui Max s-a dovedit a fi un om ce căuta câini de rasă pentru a-i vinde, iar el fiind un câine obisnuit, este aruncat într-un râu alături de o altă cățelușă-Paisley.

Promisiunea făcută lui Paisley, aceea de a nu o abandona, îl face să o caute, să-și înfrângă temerile și să descopere noi prieteni care i se alătură în această căutare.

Such a lot of fun! I'm not a big fan of animal books and particularly not dogs, but this was a great story - funny, sweet and action-packed without becoming too much in your face. Ideal for KS2.
