Revving It Up is book two in the Stimulated series by Lexxie Couper. I fell in love with the first book of this series so I had high hopes for this one and loved it. It’s short, hot and sweet.
Sami Charlton is a female motocross star. She goes in to each race with nothing held back. And she wins. She has complete trust in her head mechanic, Jay Rutledge. He’s been with her for several years but all of a sudden, when she looked at him, she saw something in his eyes that she hadn’t seen before. Heat. But it was more than that. Maybe more then she is willing to face.
Eli Swanson is the star of the male motocross world. He’s had a thing for Sami for awhile now. Just to aggravate her, he made a public announcement that female motocross riders have no chance of being better than their male counterparts. He keeps pursuing Sami and she keeps insisting that if he makes a public apology, she will talk to him, not before.
As aggravated as Eli makes Sami feel, she can’t help but feel the physical attraction to him. The man is arrogant, maddening, and gorgeous. But how can she feel this emotional pull towards Jay and still feel like she wants to jump Eli’s bones?
Jay and Eli used to be best friends. They shared more than just friendship, though. They shared women. But Eli’s arrogance and attitude finally drove Jay off. That’s when he went to work for Sami. Their friendship ended. Now Eli wants the woman Jay has fallen for.
Pride and competitiveness come in to play when a bet is made. And the stakes are high. Can Sami take the heat? And what will happen with this new thing happening between she and Jay if she wins the bet?
There was really quite a bit packed in to this short story. Some action, some sweet moments, and lots and lots of heat. I loved it.

Sami Charlton is a girl I can get on board with. Bad ass on a bike, owns her sexuality and makes no apologies for anything. Love this character. Jay, her mechanic is a tall glass of water on a hot day I enjoyed reading and Eli, the American motocross champion is a sexy thing you want to slap silly after you kissed him in order to put him in his place. I enjoyed this installment to the Stimulated Series much more than the first, however, I had to knock it down a star due to lack of condom usage with the Sami and Jay. Again, I know writing them into a scene is a pain and have pulled more hair out of my head trying to figure it out myself, but it's important. Women taking charge of their sexuality is important, protecting it is empowering.

I had a bit of a hard time with this one. There wasn't much plot to it, and it felt like things were just mostly about the sex. All three of the main characters had major arrogance and ego issues, which made them difficult to connect with overall. We never got to see the romance form between Jay and Sami, which detracted from the story for me. I'll likely read the last book in the series, but I may avoid the author in the future.

A little far fetched
This story was ok. I liked the concept, but the sex was just okay and not believable between people that didn't seem to like each other. Once they were done, I felt the dismissal was rushed. If you like ménage, go ahead and read it, but don't expect too much story.

Another oh my
This was another good book. I do see why Sami didn't care for Eli. I am just surprised that it took her a long time to notice her mechanic. He is such a sweet guy and I hope he is done with threesomes. I kind of do feel sorry for Eli though being left out. He only has himself to blame for that. Thank you for another hot story. I really enjoyed it.

Quick sexy read
The only thing that I would like to see with this book is more to the story. It seemed rushed when all I wanted was more. On the flip side it was and enticingly sexy read.

I love Lexxie Couper's books, and this one was no exception. Sami was a motocross rider, and was attracted to her mechanic Jay, and her biggest competitor, Eli. She makes a bet, and then has to live with the steamy hot consequences! Wooo Weeee this book was hot. I liked how this book ended and the middle and the beginning...ok, I liked it all! I love these short steamy books.

Lexxie Couper has written a scorching hot, panty melting story with her latest release, Revving It Up in which I could not put down. I loved her feisty heroine, Sami who not only rev up her motocross bike, but also her mechanic, Jay and her competitor and Jay's former friend, Eli. I really enjoyed the banter, sparring and sexual tension between Eli and Sami but that was nothing compared to the smoldering passion that sizzled between Jay and Sami. These two burned up the pages and when Eli was added to the mix, I thought I was going to combust. This author knows how to write bold, off the charts steamy sex scenes that have you panting. I loved that underneath all the sex, genuine love , trust and understanding shone through whenever Jay and Sami looked into each other's eyes. Another fantastic book by one of my favorite authors.
