Love and forgiveness, lies and prejudice, and sacrificing everything for fatherhood with the omega who just walked in the door Adam is the world's top male pregnancy doctor. He has everything and nothing. He spends every day saving the lives of omegas and their babies. He loves his job. But his career is built on a lie, and without a mate, he's miserable.
TV reporter Oscar wants to be a father, even if there's no alpha in his life. He knows that no alpha would accept an omega who won't stay home and cook.
Oscar asks Adam for help getting pregnant. Medical help. There's instant attraction, long gazes, blistering pheromones, and tented pants. Adam knows a better way to make Oscar pregnant, but a doctor isn't supposed to cross that line.
If Adam reveals he's an alpha, he'll give up everything he's held dear. Oscar might be the one man who's worth it, if Oscar can accept love in his life.
Baby For My Omega is a non-shifter male pregnancy romance with an alpha doctor, an omega reporter, a backbreaking male pregnancy, water breaking at the worst time, a sweet baby, and a feel-good HEA.
Wow. This was bad. This was so bad. The only good thing I can say about this book is that it was free on Amazon at the time of purchase. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
The idea behind this wasn't terrible. In some dystopian future, men have developed the ability to become pregnant, so there are now Alphas and Omegas, plus Betas, and also hetero couples where the female still is able to get pregnant. Sure, whatever. And the book starts out okay too, with Oscar Oliphant (LOLOL) being a news reporter on the local news station and wanting to have a baby, so he's been trying artificial insemination because there's no Alpha mate in his life, yet.
Adam Albright (seriously, what's with the first and last name starting with the same letter? Are we in Stan Lee world?) is a renowned Mpreg doctor at the local Mpreg hospital and without an Omega mate.
He's also Oscar's doctor.
I laughed a lot, and not in a good way. This book reads as if it was written by a teenage virgin, especially the sex scenes. Sex just doesn't quite work the way in which it is portrayed here, for one, and the whole thing was ridiculously and hilariously OTT, so much so that I thought this had to be a parody.
Apparently, it's not. LOLOL. Spare yourselves. Spare yourselves the multiple mistakes that a proofreader or editor should have caught, spare yourselves the atrocious dialogue, spare yourselves the unintentionally laughable descriptions of what goes on in the bedroom... just spare yourselves and don't read this book.
I don't know what happened during the editing of this book, but it got lost somewhere.
Ok, so in here we have Oscar, a new fangled omega. He is a tv reporter who wants to get pregnant. We also have Adam, an Alpha who runs the only mpreg hospital.
I wish I could do justice to how awful the dialogue was, regardless if it was internal or between people while speaking.
I gave this 2 stars based on how the author tried to make their omegaverse different. Unfortunately, it honestly made it sound like the omega grew a vagina to give birth but they did get pregnant via anal.
I enjoyed the concept of the story and watching these two become a family. The book could have used some major editing and a few beta reads. Things like "fertile nectar ", "love channel", "ass canal", "fertile cum", "omega cum" " alpha cum", love nectar"' just to name a few made it almost childish. There are also numerous misspelled words. I do want to read the next book in the series but I just hope that it's reviewed by a couple of betas and there is a solid editing done.
This book has EVERYTHING: clunky dialogue. typos. a penis referred to as a schlong. the worse dirty talk that I've ever read....
I also have no idea what the MCs look like! Oscar has blonde wavy hair and blue eyes (I think) Adam has wavy hair and broad shoulders....and that's it.
I thought this book was just going to be another sexcapade with not much of a storyline. Imagine my surprise when I listened to the Sample then discovered an interesting as well as entertaining beginning to a story that centered around a first time ever Mpreg Hospital. I eagerly downloaded the rest of the book. Now don't get me wrong, there were quite a few sexual references and thoughts. But the author balanced them with an innovative concept a hospital dedicated to mpreg, Omegas, and mated Alphas. Banned are single Alphas because it is assumed that they would never be able to control themselves around the cute sexy Omegas, that sought out medical care at the Mpreg Hospital without the fear of being preyed upon by Alphas.
A wolf in sheep's clothing is in the hospital. It is a precarious situation for the hospital's reputation and the Alpha. A single Omega - a famous handsome TV reporter wants a baby. Without an Alpha relationship that has proved nearly impossible, but the Mpreg Hospital offers alternatives such as artificial insemination. Oscar Oliphant is determined to pay for the expensive process in order to have the child that he wants.
Something I noticed is the alliteration of the names of the Alpha: Dr Adam Albright and the Omegas: Oscar Oliphant and Physician Assistant Ollie Oswald. The author discusses in detail how Alpha Omega relationships work or don't. What happens when an Omega wants to put his career ahead of "traditional" Omega expectations. How the mpreg phenomenon got started is laid out. The impact of the Mpreg Hospital on all those involved: patients, staff, and board of directors.
Oscar's determination to become pregnant and how he goes about it is the main focus of this book. The Mpreg Hospital plays a pivotal role. I am happy I read BABY FOR MY OMEGA. If you enjoy mpreg stories this book should be added to your list or TBR pile (Hopefully it's not as tall as my own). Dex Bass is a new author for me. This certainly won't be the last book I read by Dex, especially since this book has a recently released sequel Sweet Pregnant Omega.
I have read this book via Kindle Unlimited. Initially I read the blurb and thought it would be a good novel to have. So I commenced reading it. Sadly, the blurb is the best thing to read regarding the story. It's very repetitive, the direction and dialogue is so dire, that John Waters would have been proud. It's so inconsistent and contradictory that I don't know where to start. There's a lot of information that is factually incorrect, but is used as broad statements. It does leave a lot of unanswered questions: How did all the staff know HR was going to fire Adam, yet HR hadn't even invited Adam for a disciplinary? How is Oscar experiencing the latter stages of pregnancy in the first week? Conversely, why did he only suffer morning sickness and hormonal swings in his final trimester? How are Oscar's nursing observations during severe pain and childbirth better than that of a regular adult? If Adam had delivered two babies on his first day back to work, how come he didn't know that booking in and consent wasn't digitalised? This, in my opinion, is the worst book I have ever read. I will definitely be giving this novelist and their books a miss.
Good but needs a bit of work I received this book for an honest opinion from the author I enjoyed this book it was a light happy read. This book is about Oscar who's an omega wanting a baby and trying ivf but its not working and this is where we meet Adam who's a doctor at the mpreg hospital and also a alpha. As soon as they meet each other there pheromones start working and there's an attraction but Adam is an unmated alpha who hasn't told his bosses that, so he could be in jeopardy of losing his job. I liked Adam and Oscar as characters they were adorable. Though I liked it it does need some editing as there were misspelled words and some sentences need a little work so that the story can flow better as names keep repeating and some points keep being reiterated. There was some phrases that were a bit tongue in cheek which made me chuckle but a nice fluffy read
This was a delicious book written by this new author, Dex Bass. It was charming with the main characters, Adam and Oscar. Adam is an alpha who is hiding his identity in order to continue being the chief of Mpreg Pregnancy hosp. Oscar is an out and proud omega who yearns for his own baby. Meeting Adam when he goes to complain that his "Artificial insemination" procedures have failed. Adam's alpha self comes out as he inhales Oscars scent and Oscar smells the alpha's pheromones. This story has got humor as well as being erotic in descriptions. The pregnant male is described in detail throughout the pregnancy. An excellent job for a first book. It definitely needed editing and correction of grammatical errors, otherwise a good start for Dex.
Baby For My Omega was a cute story about an Omega wanting to get pregnant and the finding love. Oscar is a reporter for channel 9 news , he’s also an omega trying to get pregnant. Adam is a gynecologist for male omegas and am unmated alpha. Problem is alphas who aren’t mated aren’t allowed in the hospital near omegas. The two meet when Oscar is seen by Adam and the sparks start flying. The storyline is cute the characters funny and the ending while predictable, it’s still entertaining.
Another book sent to me by someone and unfortunately this fell flat. It started with some potential but and a decent plot but the writing was very juvenile and underdeveloped and read like a teen attempt at writing smutty fanfiction. The characters were flat with inconsistent traits and the wording was terrible. Good overall plot but needs a good fine tuning
It was cute, not really to my taste, but the major flaw was the misspelled words that threw me right out of the story. It is hard to take this seriously when cum is "fertile love nectar." Too much.
Not bad for the first book in the series. I liked the more human axle t of the story that it's difficult when pregnant. I wished that there wasn't so many grammar errors it made reading difficult.
Started out cute with an omega TV journalist meeting an alpha doctor. However, it quickly became too saccharine with all the cheesy ways of referring to things (or perhaps euphemisms) like "manly love syrup" and "fertile love-nectar."
It felt like I read this story before, the characters and story line seemed familiar. Ollie pissed 😠 me off and Adam by letting him go so far. But hey it’s a fictional story and a good one.
I thought this a good story for a new author. I thought the story was interesting, it kept my attention throughout. Oscar and Adam were sweet, loving characters and I enjoyed their back and forth with each other.
I don’t know where to start. But the book seems disorganized and almost like an adolescent wrote it out. The story has the potential to be good but needs some extensive editing.
