This is more than an adventure, as opposed to the description "Sci-Fi". But still one of the greatest Sinhala books I've ever read. Author is talented enough to tie us to the story. Plot is amazing. It was like I was watching a movie. Great !!!
Tharaka Eranda Caldera's කල්පාවසාන සාදය - Kalpawasana Sadaya is deeply philosophical. At points it's like a gut-punch; bittersweet beneath it's futuristic-thriller-plot. It has the power to tremble your core beliefs. The characters have been crafted brilliantly, and you'll find them relatable in many levels. His writing is picturesque and cinematic; I have never read something so thrilling in Sinhala before. I can't wait to know what happens next. Finish the sequel already! P.S. I love Moana and I wish I was as badass as Thya. #Thyaisbae <3
Writing a review almost a year after reading the book because it absolutely deserves one.
Tharaka manages to draw a vibrant, almost cinematic image in the reader's mind throughout the book. I sped through the 200 odd pages of storytelling brilliance within a couple of hours. An adventurous futuristic thriller, with a plot incorporating base Sci-Fi undertones, written in a picturesque way which reads almost like a movie, would be a perfect description of this book.
There is real potential in the story and I'm eager to find out how the author utilises that to develop the story in the upcoming instalments of this series. A must-read for the Sinhala book lover.
