Elaine Crawford is a dreamer, a book reader, and an adventurer. When she sees a painting of the Yukon Territory mountains in a friend's home, she imagines herself living there, and so of course when she is approached by Miss Hazel Hughes about becoming a mail-order bride for a Mountie stationed in the Yukon, she has to accept.
Jonathan Murray has never given much thought to marriage, but when he hears from his sister Evelyn, who has recently become a mail-order bride to a Mountie, he wonders if he shouldn't give it a try. A letter to Miss Hazel should do the trick, and soon four young ladies are on their way to the Yukon. But Jonathan has no idea what he's getting into . . . and neither do the other husbands.
Just leave it to Miss Hazel to show them all what they've been missing.
Amelia C. Adams is a wife, a mother, and a novelist. She spends her days dreaming up stories and her nights writing them down. Her biggest hero is her husband, and you might just see bits and pieces of him as you read her novels.
She loves all things historical and enjoys learning about days gone by, but she's glad she was born more recently (she won't say how recently or not recently) because the Internet is awesome, and she's glad she doesn't have to wash her clothes by hand in a galvanized tub. She has hit Amazon bestseller status twice, once for A Clean Slate and once for A Clear Hope.
Elaine was the wife for Jonathan and when she stepped of the train she knew and he knew they were for each other. Elaine is a dreamer and Jonathan has never really thought about marriage until his sister married a mountie. With Miss Hazel’s help once again, marriage has changed the way Jonathan thinks.
Jonathan is more of by the book type of guy and Elaine is the dreamer positive one that like sto cheer Jonathan on. She helps him out a lot and vice versa. When Jonathan gets hurt on the job it could very well end his career but Elaine won’t let him get discouraged.
Another great story in the RCMP series. These two characters were fun to read about and the situations they go through show how much a person can grow and change.
Once again, hats off to the lovely ladies who write this series. I really enjoyed that Jonathan's and Elaine's relationship started differently than the rest. Can't wait to read about the Mounties in Alberta!
This is a fantastic story of a match made in Heaven.
I absolutely loved this story. I loved Elaine and Jonathon and how well they got along right from the beginning. I loved how they complimented each other and when one needed help the other never wavered to help the other or there friends and natives around them. Of course there were some trials, one really serious as it was medical but partners all the way shared their feelings and anxiety about the situation and one nursing the other back to health. There were problems that all Mounties encounter that kept them away from home but the new brides adjust even if it is their wedding night. But there were great times with this couple even when the outcome of the medical problem was uncertain. Faith, love, friendship, hope and all great things abound with two people who fell in love almost in one day of knowing each other. I highly recommend this story and this entire series. It's a must have book and one I couldn't put down. I started it around 11pm and finished it at around 2:30 am. It's that good.
Elaine Crawford, Isabelle, Lisa, Maryanne & Hazel Hughes all from Ottawa, Canada. They're on a long train ride to Moose Lick, in the Yukon. Hazel had made arrangements for the young women to be mail order brides.
This book centers mainly around Jonathan Murray & his bride Elaine Crawford.
The men are all Mounties in the Yukon territory. Preston is their commanding officer & one other live n Moose Lick. Jonathan & Dermot live about a 3 hour ride closer to the Indian Tribe they watch over. They meet once a week for updates & orders, unless called in due to trouble.
There is so much more to this story and you need to read it!
I've read other books in this series. You won't be disappointed!
When Jonathan requested a bride but gave no particulars no on thought much of it. Miss Hazel simply tells Elaine that he is different and that makes her have all kinds of ill thoughts. But Jonathan is handsome and has all his faculties. He just has a bit of a secret and a dislike for all the books Elaine has brought. Can Elaine get to the bottom of the book ban and will it help them grow together.
Johnathan hadn't planned on marriage. Elaine was looking for adventure. What they found was each other and the chance to love. This entire series has been enjoyable and entertaining. Each couple has obstacles to overcome which bring them together as partners and help mates. Bravo ladies. Well done.
I think this is my favorite in the Series so far. I loved the instant connection Elaine and Jonathan felt for each. They have such affection for each other from the beginning. The way she weaved the side stories together with the romance was charming and fun. I'm a big fan of this series and these ladies never disappoint.
This author spun a tale of excitement as love starts to bloom in the Canadian west! The history of the Canadian Mounties is brought to life through the twists and turns that drive the plot forward, making it impossible for me to put the story down until I was at the end. Thanks Amelia Adams for another great crated story!
I appreciated the link to the previous set of brides and Mounties through Evelyn and Jonathan. It was also refreshing that these two took to one another right from the beginning. An enjoyable read but wasn't my favorite of the series.
I do like how Elaine and Isabella support one another in both of their stories.
Another great addition to an entertaining series. This story showcased the hardships and dangers faced during this period as well as a lively romance. Entertaining read.
I enjoyed this story from beginning to end, it was heartwarming and beautiful. Jonathan and Elaine discover that together they can accomplish anything they put their minds to.
Laughter and love make for a perfect tale entertaining information about early Canadian settlements. Solitude in the wilderness is a great way to discover personal strengths
I love how these lovely ladies have a new Mail Order Mounties book every other Friday. This was the final book of Moose Lick Mounties. I was not disappointed. I am looking forward to read the next set of four books.
Just like all the others from this series this book was great. The Mounties are all so handsome and the wife's are beauties. You canntell the fall In love do quickly and all have wonderful marriages.
What a great story. I was sorry to see it end. Now I have to wait for another "Mounties" series to start. Can't wait for the next one to start. These have all been such wonderful books. I count the days til a new one comes along. Please get busy writing a new series.
I have always loved stories of the early days in Alberta about folks who come to life in my imagination. Amelia Adams and other authors who write good, clean romance stories with a good plot such as this book are blessed with an amazing talent.
This was a sweet story. Alive with exciting tales of women coming to know their new Mountie husbands and the new places they live. I that no others would love to read this series.
Loved this book. Full of a sweet budding love and bits of adventure along the way. Makes you feel like you are sitting in Elaine and Jonathan’s kitchen, watching this story unfold.
This is a sweet romance set in the Yukon territory. I enjoyed finding out what happened with the baby cougar finally. It was a neat aspect of the last three books that tied them together.
The author's of this series work so well on the story and characters. Thank you so much for writing and I will recommend this and the Author to all my friends and family. I look forward to reading more on all these characters and adventures.
Everyone sees Elaine and Jonathan's kindness and they made a perfect match. Outside influences give them both adventures and continue their growth as you'd married in the Yukon wilderness. - Babs
Jonathan and Elaine are the latest set of mountie and mail order bride. A perfect match in many ways. This is a clean romance with nothing mentioned other than hugs and kisses.
One of her best works in my reading. In this novel they each came alive and participated in the romance. Then the talents of each character came out as the story progressed. I doubt it could have gotten any better. Great job Amelia Adams.
