Study Hard

Rate this book
I'm a student, he's my tutor. It could never work.
He might have spent three years starring in my fantasies but it's only a crush. That's all.
He'd never be interested in someone like me. He's far too professional.
But I can't stop wanting him. I can't stop obsessing over him, over what he might look like under that suit.
I can't even look at him without melting.
Because I do love him. I do want him. And now I've heard a rumour that he wants me.
There's only one way to find out if the rumour's true.
I'm going to have to study hard.

descriptionPretty good cover on this one. Nice composition and title work. It is pretty generic, so I would say it is not a great representation of the story. I would have gone with a guy in a suit or something like that, but it isn't a bad cover.description

description

descriptionA quick super hot teacher/student romance that I enjoyed quite a lot. It was well written and well paced. No OW/OM drama. No angst. A couple of hot sex scenes and two very likable characters. My only complaint is the lack of epilogue. It would have been nice to get a look into this couple's future. Two thumbs up from yours truly.description

This was a sexy Professor/Student novella. I loved that it was straight to the point. And that they were smart about it. I enjoyed this short read alot and I would have loved an epilogue. It ended abruptly.
As always I love Lucy Wild. This book was sent to me by the author as apart of the ARC team.

This was a very quick, taboo little read. Donna has wanted her professor for a while finally decides to take matters into her own hands until she chickens out a moment to late, and then he becomes consumed with thoughts of her.

Overall for such a quick read it wasn't lacking in anything

Not too shabby of a quick and smutty story. I liked that Donna is in her early twenties so it doesn't seem pervy when her and Sheppard are together. I did think it ended rather abruptly but other than that, it was an enjoyable hour of hot entertainment.

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review***Short and sweat. Yep, and sweet. The college professor, Mr. Shepherd has been smitten by a lovely student, Donna Malley, who by the way has a crush on him. She has decided to flash him to get his attention. She went to class without panties. But, once there she chickened out. But during class, a large spider crawled in front of her desk. Mr. Shepherd bent to pick it up when Donna saw it she jumped back and flashed him. He hurried to the window and back to his desk to hide his excitement. He told her he would like to speak to her after class. He told her she wasn't paying attention in class and that she is failing that he would tutor her, for her to be in his office Monday! He went to pick up his daughter from his ex (due to her cheating 3 times.) She wanted to start an argument, but he wouldn't allow it. Taking his little girl he left. He took her to the park and played with her until she was tired. Taking her to his place, he bathes her and put her to bed. He started to finish his entry for the school journal when he received an email picture of Donna naked from head to waist. He couldn't take his eyes off of it. Unknown to him it wasn't sent by Donna, but by her roommate, Jenny. He then got an additional email that was from Donna asking him to disregard the first email and not to open it. He sent her an email back telling her to dress for cleaning on Monday. He couldn't get her out of his mind. Donna had seen him with his ex at the park and she thought he was married with a child. On Monday he locked her in his office and had his way with her. When there was a knock on the door they got dressed and he told the person to enter. Mr.Reyholm had to speak with him. She didn't know if they were caught or what. He received news that his daughter was ill and in the hospital. When Donna went to his office and he wasn't there she didn't know what to think. Once his daughter was revived and was released, he sent email to let her know everything was all right. When they met again, Donna said that they should wait until she graduated which was only in a few months. Then they could be together without any repercussions. He agreed and they waited.

This is a short read but quite an intriguing and engaging story. Donna has a crush on Jack Shepherd, her tutor, and during his lessons daydreams and fantasizes about him. Jack has feelings for Donna too, but is he prepared to jeopardize his career for her? Nevertheless, fate finds a way to bring the two together.

When Jack Shepherd speaks, Donna can barely focus on what he is saying, too busy staring at him and daydreaming. Today was the day; but could Donna even do it, should she do it and why did she feel excited. Having spent weeks psyching herself up, if she didn’t do something now it would be too late; she is in her third year of an English degree and after graduation she would never see Jack again. What little exhibitionist streak Donna had she kept strictly under wraps; there is nothing wrong with fantasizing, but the thought of actually doing anything terrifies her. Jack finds it so difficult not to look at Donna. In all his nine years working as a professional, he has never had a crush on a single student, not wishing to risk his career. But Jack never forgot the first time he saw Donna; all he could do was stare at her. He had never felt like that about anyone before, and especially someone almost 20-years younger than him. Jack couldn’t help himself that first time; it was a mistake, not one he made again. Instead he made a vow, one that he kept through the first and second year; he has to avoid Donna and pretend she doesn’t exist. Donna wonders if Jack knows what she has planned. Everything changes the minute a spider comes into the lecture hall. When Jack arranges a private tutorial with Donna he wonders if it is a mistake; is his mind playing tricks on him. Can she really feel something for him too and where will this lead them? There are some extra twists and turns to make this an interesting story and one I enjoyed reading. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Donna is studying for an English degree and she has a major crush on her professor, Jack Shepherd, that eventually turns to love but there is no way that she can do anything about it as he's her tutor for the three years. So all the fantasies that she has about him are all that she can have. Meanwhile, jack who is a 39 year old divorcee because of his ex wife's repeated cheating has an adorable little girl, he lusts after Donna since the very first time that he saw her but knew due to professionalism that he could do nothing about his attraction to her because he would ruin his 9 year career which he loved. As the end of the course comes within sight, Donna decides that she must do something to let him know that she is attracted to him. To get the message to him she dresses in a very short skirt with no panties on with the intention to flash him! However, things don't go according to plan but he does see more of her than he expected and he tells her to come to his room for a private tutorial the following week! No more spoilers from me. This is a cleverly written fast , paced novella written by Lucy Wild that is good fun to read and is a real page turner. Jack is gorgeous, witty, intelligent and has the charisma and looks to turn any woman's head. Whilst Donna is young, intelligent, passionate, feisty and gorgeous to boot! There are some twists and turns with misunderstandings to make the suspense all the more gripping. Enjoy as I certainly did.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

A Little Naughty… A Little Nice!

“Professional Misconduct” is a sweet little read for those times when the marathon novel just will not do! Effectively balanced, “Professional Misconduct” offers the perfect combination of both naughty and nice! Professionally written and thoroughly engaging, I read the novella in one sitting because I simply could not put it down! With captivating characters (and one totally hot professor!) the story-line transports North American audiences across the pond with just a hint of British flair without a need to lookup unfamiliar vernacular.

Anyone looking for a little naughty and a little nice will truly appreciate “Professional Misconduct”!

I received an ARC edition of this novella but also purchased a copy to support this amazing authors work!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

If you like hot and steamy passion, scorching hot intimate scenes that are awe-inspiring, then this book is for you. There is something about a forbidden romance that makes it intriguing. This is a taboo story of a professor/student or older man/younger woman, forbidden love story. Somewhat sordid but once you become a part of their lives, the unpleasantness falls away. Lucy Wild presents one of the most unseemly potential love stories, and slowly takes you through so many heart wrenching emotions. I was enthralled with the characters of Mr. Shepherd and Donna and the banter between the two. There is some sizzling chemistry that is off-the-chart hot! You’ll find yourselves rooting for them, but you may want to rebuff some of those emotions for a good part of it because you couldn’t imagine feeling for these characters. Despite some of the unpleasant elements, I could not stop reading this book and it will keep you glued to the pages to find out what happens next. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.

A great, quick read.
Two people who know they shouldn't be together, yet can't find the strength to stay away from each other. As her tutor, he has been responsible for two years, admiring her from afar and keeping his thoughts to himself. She has daydreamed about him since she first saw him. When she makes a dating move, partially on accident, he can't stop himself anymore.
While in his office, talking about a paper she wrote, he decides to play and see how far he can get with her. Already going beyond the student/tutor roll he goes all in and realizes it could ruin his career, but throws caution to the wind, hoping he read her feelings correctly.
After they get interrupted, he makes her promise to come back to his office the next day. Only, he isn't there. Is there a good reason? Did he get what he wanted and now he is ghosting her? Can they find a way to be together without giving her a bad reputation and ruining his career?

Loved this perfect little fantasy-come-true taboo tale!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Professional Misconduct written by Lucy Wild and voluntarily reviewed this book. Donna Malley and Mr. Jack Sheperd have been mentally circling around each other for three years in college waters now. They each entertained fantasies of the other, but it was not supposed to happen, not with his nine-year career at stake and Donna’s last year to obtain her English degree on the line. Until a well-meaning friend takes a dare even further with one stroke of a keyboard, and then all gloves were off, Mr. Sheperd’s professionalism as Donna’s English tutor went out the window…

Great build-up - a sexy read, indeed!

This was a very short read (it took about an hour to read). The author does tell a good story that keeps the reader engaged. There is some background and personal information given on the main characters that make them a little more personable but there is not very much emotional attachment. There is a little drama after they hook up and it makes Mr. Shepherd a better character. I did enjoy the maturity shown by Donna towards the end of the story. Overall, it is an enjoyable lunchtime read with a happy ending (though I would have liked a little something to let us know how the characters fared)

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

This was a fun and hot little story.
The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues so a very enjoyable read.

It's not easy to feel a connection to the characters in such a short story but they are well described and there are some hot and sweet scenes. Sometimes I feel like the scenes are missing that extra magic that makes them special, but they are not bad just ordinary hot.

If you like a short hot story with a young girl and her professor this is a good 4 star read.

Professional Misconduct is a short flirty taboo read that you need on your kindle asap.
This student/Professor novella is a great novella that you can read In your lunch hour and cheer that mundane work day up but beware it gets pretty steamy so panties are optional and don't let anyone read over your shoulder as they may not be able to take all the heat 😉
Donna and Mr Shepard are a great combination and there's lots of teaching but just in a different subject than what it's supposed to be.
A good quick read.

Entertaining and steamy...

This is a super hot quickie with all the necessary components to make it a fun relatively angst free forbidden professor/ student romance...

Donna and Mr Shepherd take turns to tell the story from their point of view ...she is sassy but inexperienced and he is only too happy to take control and teach her a lesson or two ..... Donna has been a very naughty student...

A short steamy entertaining romance which brightened up a rather dull, stay indoors, sort of afternoon...I received copy of this book as an ARC from the author.

A quick little read with lots of spice. There's a little bit of angst simply because of the forbidden nature of the older teacher/younger student relationship. And we get a touch of drama through his ex and their daughter. Overall, it's a fairly light read with a sweetly happy ending. I felt so sorry for Donna and all her anxiety about her exhibitionist tendencies. But they play well with the Professor's dominance and control. Add in her willingness to please him and we get some scorching hot scenes of them together.

Professional Misconduct is a sexy, short, Student /Professor story by Lucy Wild. It's exactly what you want to read after a long day or just need a quick book fix.
I would have liked more steamy scenes, and the ending elaborated on some more but you have to stop some where.
Lucy Wild is one of my favorite Authors and I love how she gives Readers quick reads like this after a longer novel while waiting for her next book.

A super fast (about an hour read time) story with a bit of the taboo of a teacher/student relationship. It's college, so everyone is of legal age and it's plenty steamy. Wild packs some story in these pages along with the sexy to keep it interesting. Overall, it's a fun, naughty tale, perfect for a bedtime read.

Mr Shepherd has been Donna’s professor for 3 years, and she has crushed on him secretly, and now that the end is near to finish when she will graduate, despite measures are called for. This is a sweet, steamy, and quick read, which had me intrigued from the very beginning. This is well written and flows seamlessly, and I look forward to reading more from this author.

A quick and short read that I really enjoyed. Although short, it is well written and flows smoothly. Mr. Shepherd and Donna are great characters who are very attracted to each other but have not acted on it because he is her professor. That all changes when Donna decides to be brave and go after what she wants.
