At this point DC really wanted some sort of crossovers in all of their Rebirth comics. But you can't just make a crossover with Hellblazer. I mean, you can't just make Barry Allen to say "Hey! Hi, John, looks like I'm faster than I thought and now I'm on the wrong earth!" And still, DC wanted a crossover. So, how did they do it? Obviously, through an illusion. Of sorts. Did it work? Well... Honestly, as much as I like the cover, I think that this issue will be much more fun without Superman and Co. Especially since we're still on the story that started in previous issue, which means that setting is still dark and gory. And yet, I don't want to downvote this issue just because of that. I really liked the mood and I really liked this story. That depressive touch in the end... I always loved it in the old Hellblazer.
