Callum fucking Hayes is a rock god. His band, which includes his brother and their best friend is hugely successful. He's got the looks, the money, and the charm. The media portrays him as an asshole, which couldn't be further from the truth - at least at present. His true self, which appeared to be sexy, charismatic, and surprisingly wholesome, was made apparent when he set out to woo his new sound engineer intern, Tayla.
I loved how sincere Callum was. The author created a character who at once seemed untouchable and amazingly real. He was open and honest and I couldn't get enough of his interactions with everyone, especially Tayla. These two were so sweet together. Tayla was a bit damaged, which made her push and Cal's pull understandable in the circumstances.
The author also did a great job of introducing the other characters of the series. I liked getting glimpses of who they were as individuals and I'm excited to get to know each of them a little better. Just throwing it out there... I wouldn't be opposed to seeing more of Callum and Tayla.

Holy Schmoly!!! This is a hot hot hot read!!! I am in turbo fangirl mode right now. Excellent job Ms. Rene!! The storyline is remarkable. I was in Awww! with all that was going on. I love love love it!! The sex scenes are amazing!! I can't wait to read Liam's story. I know it will be Epic. I highly recommend this book to all my book buddies. Steamy
This was an enjoyable quick read. Callum was such a sweetheart after he left his man whore days behind him. A sexy rock star on tour romance with our damaged heroine, Tayla. I thought she was immature at times, but she was likeable and the chemistry was off the charts. These two got down and dirty plenty of times and the author done a wonderful job with this one.

Tayla is damaged. A past that she wants to escape, stops her from opening herself up to the possibility of love. When she takes a job helping mega famous rock star Callum Hayes she is powerless to stop the inevitable attraction between them.
This is Dani René' 3rd book and I think it's her best. The story is intriguing, The characters are both likeable ( a first for me, Dani usually gives me a character to hate to least a little) and I felt invested in them from really early on.
One thing Dani is guaranteed to give us is smoking hot sex scenes. These are incredible. lots of detail without being repetitive or overly smutty.
loads of emotion, plenty of drama and a few laughs along the way. this is a fantastic start to a new series that I already know will just get better and better.
it's been such a privilege to get the opportunity to Beta read Dani's books. seeing how she is finding her stride and gaining in confidence is just wonderful.

I have to say that I have read rockstar romances in the past, and they never lived up to my expectations. I am so glad that this one did. This novel was complex, and beautiful. I believe that there are two things that made the book for me.
First, it was that René slipped some darkness into the story. That added darkness gave the story a certain honesty and aspect of reality. It made it raw and believable. It made it beautiful. To me, if there is no darkness, or hard aspect to a book, it just reads like a fairytale, and that is not real life.
The second thing that made the book for me, are the songs. It sounds freaking cheesy, I know, but when written songs in a novel are done well, written well, well placed, they really add a certain je ne sais quoi to the novel. René's lyrics were enchanting and musical, regardless of the the lacking melody when reading them. They connected directly to te story on a deeper level, and they complemented the story on an upper level - does that make sense? My brain at times.
So all this to say that this is a great rockstar book by one of my faves!

This book was everything I was hoping for and more. Callum is one sexy as anything rock star and Tayla is the lucky lady that get deep down into the core of what he's all about. The story behind between love and fire is just beautiful. I loved each and every second of their story. As with every couple they have their ups and downs and the sex scenes of course are smoking hot, I mean Dani is the author how are they not. I cannot wait to read the next book that will bring us to Liam and his story. Loved loved loved.

This book was pretty hot. Love a good alpha who knows what he wants and takes it. If you love rock stars, you'll love this. Very intrigued for Liam and Emm's story. Also Ki and Ryan. Here's to hoping they get a book as well.

I was lucky enough to be given an Arc for an honest Review from Dani before I give my review I'd just like to say that Dani is an Author that is fast becoming a go to author not only are her books fabulous but the way she interacts with readers/fans is amazing she always takes the time to reply weather its just a thank you on Instgram, a like on Twitter or more of a reply. Interacting on Facebook and her group page Dani's Dreamers, the time and effort is always put in and as a fangirl I always appreciate that.

I haven't read many Rock Star books before so I was looking forward to seeing if this is a genre I would like, and like I do now that could be down to Dani's writing but this was a fantastic start to this series.
Callum Hayes comes across as the typical Rock Star Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll. Afraid to put love on the line until HER.
Tayla Quinn thinks she's damaged after a traumatic experience in her life she isn't very trusting with men until she crashes into Callum's life. She finds her self drawn to him feeling safe with him but can she risk everything in her life and his.
I loved both characters Callum is 100% Alpha but with Tayla we get to see his softer side and I really enjoyed the Sassy side to Tayla. She isn't about to give Callum everything just because of who he is, she makes him work for it and work for it he does!!
The chemistry between the two is there from the moment they meet and it only escalates throughout the book from Flirtatiousness into Hot Holy Hotness. Don't get me wrong this book isn't just a Steamy read the Love and Romance is Beautiful. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this series with Liam's book next and hoping kierra and Ryan get their own book!

I’m going to go ahead and excuse myself If I don’t make that much sense, but I’m still all over the place after finishing this book.
When I first BETA-read the book, I knew this story was going to be AMAZING, and I was so curious to see the end result. And it did NOT disappoint.
I started this book, and I JUST COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN.
Everything fell perfectly together like I imagined, and I fell in love with the characters over and over again.
Tayla is one of the few heroines that I ACTUALLY liked without getting annoyed. She was sassy, to the point and still so very strong even though she had to endure SO much in her life.
Callum, who knew you’d make me have a soft spot for rock stars. From the first moment, he knew what he wanted, and didn’t play around the bush. No he went after what he wanted.

These two have chemistry that is OFF THE CHARTS from the first page, and it gets even more electric with each chapter.

Ok so let me just say this...this book was ahhhhmazing!! Absolutely love Callum and Tayla!! There's ups and downs that they face and it keeps u wrapped into the book from start to finish!!
Tayla is a broken but yet strong determined girl who is trying to start over in a new place and lands the dream of all dream jobs!
Callum is the bad boy rock star...or is he as bad as the tabloids make him out to still be?? One thing is for sure, when he wants something he goes for it full force with everything he has!!
And he wants Tayla!!!
Can she resist him?? Is he really a good guy deep down that won't break her heart?? And will she be able to open up enough to trust a man again and allow him to see past the scars she bears from a horrible past??
This book will touch your heart and get you steamed up too with the hot sex scenes as they make their journey to find out if they can make it work "between love & fire"!!!!
Can't wait for the rest of this awesome series and find out more about the other hotties in the rock band Hunters In Oblivion!!

This is the first book in the Backstage Series & focuses on Callum & Tayla.
Callum is sex-with-a-microphone.
An alpha with a filthy mouth & a somewhat hidden heart, there's not much about him that you're not instantly drawn to. He's engaging, persistent & unapologetic.
Tayla is strong & speaks her mind... and her banter with Callum is fantastic. Giving as good as she gets, including putting him in his place, she has a spark that you can't help but admire in a female lead.
I loved that both Callum & Tayla were adults - in age & attitude - including each bringing real baggage to their relationship.
Their chemistry is off the charts & the sex scenes are panty-melting scorchers without crossing the line into obscenity for the sake of description.
The pace of their story is good, their secrets unfold logically & it makes it very hard to put down.

This was my first book from Dani and I really enjoyed it. It was such a sweet, fun, & sexy read. I loved Callum, but who doesn't love a sweet, sexy, badass rocker, am I right? And I loved how sassy Tayla was. These two together... total hotness!! A few times, I wish there would have been more show instead of tell, but overall I really liked this one. It definitely won't be my last read from this author. I'm really looking forward to Liam & Emma's book.

Ahhh I just love a rock star romance and Miss René did not disappoint!! Callum Hayes is everything you want in a rock star lead and more! Between Love & Fire is a beautiful read with likeable characters and just the right amount of suspense! The lyrics written within the book are just beautiful and I can't wait to read more from the band!! Dani you need hurry your butt up and get writing as I can't wait for Liam's story!! I give Between Love & Fire 5 beautiful stars!!!

This book was beautifully written. I was hooked from the start! Dani Rene created such beautiful and lovable characters you can't help but fall in love with them. I loved that you get to see both perspectives and experience how they fell for each other, go through their ups and down. They had so much chemistry together, I am definitely looking forward more from this series and other works from Dani Rene.

This book is A-MA-ZING!!!! It is everything you expect it to be, which keeps you riveted from the first chapter. Callum and Tayla have a chemistry that is undeniable and they each have a past that is tainting their future. Can they put the past behind them where it belongs so that they can see what a future together holds?! There are so many ups and downs and boy, the sexy time is awesome too. If you want a super sexy read that will get you in the feels, this is the book for you.

Between Love & Fire is the first book in the Backstage Series by Dani Rene. It features the story of Callum and Tayla.
Callum is the lead singer and song writer of Hunters in Oblivion. He is a bad ass rock star that is known for his velvety voice, mesmerizing lyrics, haunting blue eyes and the holder of a monster between his legs. Jaded and broken by the rock star life and all of it groupies, he is into quick flings and no attachments that is until he meets the blond that spills coffee all over his favorite shirt.
Tayla is a girl that loves music and is looking for that dream internship that will put her foot in the door. Little does she know that it is for her favorite band with her all time crush. She isn't looking for a relationship and has some deep rooted secrets that remind her why, daily.
This book is heartfelt and funny. I love how Dani brings the "Callum Hayes" down 50 pegs. She has humanized the rock star and spun a refreshing love story. This book is for lovers of music and rock stars. It has a beautiful happy ending and no cliff hanger.
The next book Between Lust and Tears releases soon and features the story of Liam.

Huge 5 stars from me
“Between the love he gives me, and the fire that burns between us, we find euphoria as one.”
MY REVIEW.
Both of them are scarred, damaged and used. Some scars are deeper than the other. Some are physical and some emotional. Can two damaged angels find a way to fix each other, and love each other as much as they can? That was the question I asked my self when I started the book, and the answer I got is the exactly the answer I wanted. And yes, two damaged angels can fix each other. By the time I finished the book, I realized how much I loved it, how much i connected to it. This story is one of a kind. It has it’s sad moments, and also it has it’s happy moments.
We all know that Callum was screwed the moment he met Tayla, her playing hard to get, drew Callum even closer without Tayla realizing that Callum had it bad for her. She occupied his mind every single day. And in the end one thing lead to another, and she was in his arms, feeling safer than she ever did. With Callum, she realized that she deserved the best in the world, even she was, at first, convinced that she’s nothing, and that once Callum knew her secrets, saw her scars, that he would rejected her. But Callum had something else on his mind. He accepted her for who she is. And he loved her with every part of his heart.
And now, let’s get on the SEXY WAGON, first thing I need to say is WOW, damn you Dani. I wasn’t expected the sexy scenes to be so good damn HOT. Which they were, every single one of them. There are few of my favorites. But the one that does it for me is the balcony scene in Paris.
So for the end note, I have to say that I really loved this book. I loved every part of it. My five stars go to this amazing book, which I recommend to everyone. Read it and love it. And know that there is someone who will LOVE YOU no matter what.

Gold! Solid gold work with this one! By far my favorite novel by Dani Rene! I found it so easy to connect with these characters instantly. Each and every page was a race to see how fast I could read, I was overly eager to finish it because I couldn’t get enough of the story as a whole. She brought out the inner groupie in me with this one, I felt like I had a real backstage experience from reading this book. Everything thought out the story flowed easily; the characters and the plot line were flawless, creative and just easy. The whole experience was a pleasant one for me.
A perfect mix of interesting supporting characters that you want to know about; making me look forward to the rest of the series, however none of them took over the story. The main focus was on Callum and Tayla. The two of them coming together just felt right, they clicked immediately and I was rooting for them just as fast. Callum Hayes is one of those characters that become instant book boyfriends. A wickedly sexy rock star with a heart of gold and a sweet side? Could you really ask for anything else? As for Tayla, I didn’t expect to like her as a character. Many times I am not a fan of the female, being many times whiney or annoying; Tayla was none of these. She was a strong character with her own issues that she work through as anyone would of could and I ending up loving her as much as Callum. She is strong and confident regardless and maybe even because of what happened in her past which makes me admire her.
If you are looking for a fun, sweet, sexy, loving story revolving around a seriously hot rock star this is a must for you. And if you have not read any of Dani Rene’s work I suggest you begin with this, then again I may be biased because it is my favorite!

Between Love & Fire was utterly unique and refreshingly original. I honestly do not have a single other book to compare it to, nor have I ever read a plot line even similar to this one. Everything from the way the characters met to the twists and reveals all took me by surprise and kept me guessing the whole way through.
“Question is; can you handle me?”
“Trust me, Tayla. I can handle everything you bring my way. We will be seeing each other tomorrow.”
Callum Hayes was the kind of guy who everyone will fall in love with - a hot, sexy, talented musician with a heart of gold and who was also hiding a big secret. Everything about him made me either swoon or melt.
“I promise to never interrupt you again."
“Because the next time you see me; I will be your boss.... And I expect you to obey my every word.”
Tayla Quinn was one of those heroines who I just immediately liked. She was sweet, kind, lovable with dark past.
My body the lyrics and his the melody and together our souls are a symphony.
I truly loved everything about this book and about their romance - the texting, the flirting, the slow but powerful build of their connection...
"... Once i break down those high walls you have built up around you, Petal I look forward to seeing the treasure they keep hidden."
Dani René's writing has this beautifully gripping, compelling quality to it that draws you right into the lives of her characters. From the first few lines, I was fully immersed in this story and stayed connected until the very last word. I cannot wait to read more of Dani René’s work.

Callum Hayes ( love that name BTW!) is the epitome of what a rockstar slash that ROCKGOD! should be strong, sexy, and dominate! The tabloids make him out to be a playboy but that's far from the truth-under all the oozing sex is man with a beautiful heart .
Tayla Quinn is a strong willed little firecracker of a woman she's becomes the bands new intern, and she's all business . She's won't deny Callum is hot but she's stopping right there !
Both Callum and Tayla had walls up which made for an even more intriguing storyline cause lord knows we've all been there at one time or another but this is what makes them work they both learn that sometimes you just need to follow your heart even though scared.
The chemistry these two have is nuts, those steamy scenes are off the charts ( Dani Rene girl your fire)
You had me oohing like a crazy woman so much so I now want my own rockstar I felt it all!

Horrible
Weak is the only way to describe this book. Theres literally no likable qualitys about the main charecters or secondary charecters. Hell even the parents seemed like idiots.
The male charecter literally doesnt know what the word no means. He cant have a civilized conversation about the heroine with anyone without stomping and shouting and slamming. Hes 5'8 and i get big things come in small packages but really. The sign of a small penis is someone who measures it and boy the author made sure you knew he had a 9 incher.
The heroine was weak as can be. She had a completly irrational out burst the 2nd chapter but those two were completly irrational the entire story. Shed go nuts if he smiled at a fan.
But anyways she tells the H no to sex blah blah blah but she caves after like the 5th paragraph.
There was nothing ever professional or even grown up about the relationship. The hlH basically walked around sexually harrasing her but its suppised to be swoon worthy. I cringed alot.
And what was the deal about him raging on his brother like he was this terrible dude for doing literally the same thing he did. Except he "changed" when he met the heroine.

Wow-eey!!! Talk about HOT read! Dani Rene sure knows how to write a love scene that's for sure to make you sweat...in ALL the right places!
Oh these characters. THE Callum-fucking-Hayes. The bad boy rock star. Cerulean eyes, hard body, lead singer with a string of women play things in every city. Then Tayla Quinn strolls in as the band's new intern and Callum has no choice but to notice. She may just be the death of him.
