Despite her better judgment, Twyla Monet Duncan, a sexy and curvaceous hairstylist, finds herself longing for the affection of her younger ex-boyfriend, Joshua Hayes, an intelligent and suave college grad who ignited a flame, most people would find hard to tame. Seeking lustful moments they once shared, she hopes to have just one more night of raw passion before making a much-needed move out of state.
Joshua, never shy about his desires, feels he is free to do whatever he chooses … including other women. Twyla's heart and patience is tested when she discovers Joshua has been harboring secrets about his finances as well as his loyalty to their unique bond. She finds herself back on the prowl, hoping to bury thoughts of him by laying under another. Consistently giving into her fleshly desires, she finds herself in a love triangle with Joshua being the center of it all.
Nova, a straight to the point northerner with star potential, comes across as the perfect catch for Twyla, but when old feelings for Joshua are forced to the surface, she has to decide if honesty really is the best policy when dealing with matters of the heart. How can a woman choose between lust and love when all is fair between the sheets of seduction?
This was my first read by this author and I must say it was a page turner. Josh was the true definition of a f' boy. I don't know what to say about Nova, true me messed up but Tywla did to. Now I can't wait to see what happens next.
Oh lord, a good read. I saw the pregnancy coming but I didn't think their would be an issue of who the father was. I thought Nova was going to be her happy ever after. Looking forward to part two.
Feeling like I'm on an episode of Maury Povich, where Maury says to the not so sure mother, "Who is the father?" Great Read! ReneeG 👍 Now on to next installment.
I tried but come onnnnn... All the flowery, just found out what the thesaurus really is...nothing was so over the top and annoying. I couldn't even make it past 18% before the, "baptized in the pool of lust, born again in the Realm of Bulls…"p. 34, got on my last nerve. This is how the book has been going and I'm not sure if this is all based on the ex or if this is going to be a second chance type book where she meets someone else and gets back with him. If she is going to meet someone else, what a freaking waste, and if she's going to get back with him, why would the author make him out to be such a tool? Either way I'm done.
