Between Friends

Rate this book
When failing comedy romance writer, Agatha Braithwaite, flees to the wilds of the Scottish Highlands on a mercy mission to save her friend's café, she has no idea if her new path will lead to her very own happy ever after, or if it will prove to be yet another pot-holed road leading to deeper depths of despair. All she knows is that something - anything - has to change. Aggie soon discovers that her childhood friend, Pollyanna Fletcher, has also embarked on a life-changing journey, but to a significantly more dangerous corner of the globe - Polly Fletcher has gone to war!

Through a series of letters, Aggie and Polly renew their friendship, guiding and supporting each other through Polly's six months at war - the good, the bad and the downright heartbreaking. What follows is a fun, heart-warming story of rekindled friendship, where two women find that every single day somehow has to matter, and that nothing in life is so bad or so utterly unbearable, when shared between friends …

Unexpected

I don't really read romantic fiction, BUT, despite its appearance this isn't. It has friendship, laughter, grief, absurdity and strong women and guys.
