The myth I chose as the basis for my creative piece was the story of Moses, the most biblically revolutionary prophet and well-known figure in the Old Testament. My portrayal of Moses was intentionally less honorific than a more vain-glorious portrayal would have been so as to allow Moses to be more approachable as a character. My story follows him from his return to Egypt after being in exile to his victory over the Pharaoh through a competitive show of signs and wonders. This is an excerpt and shall be continued piece by piece in other issues.
