Bestseller Book Launch: A Proven 3-Step System For Launching A Bestseller on Amazon That Defies The Advice Of The Gurus

Rate this book
*** From the #1 Amazon Bestselling Author of THE AUTHOR STARTUP *** Want to launch a Bestseller on Amazon? The Gurus are wasting your time! All you need are these 3 Proven Steps! Bestseller Book Launch is Ray Brehm’s own formula for launching a Bestseller. After launching one of his first Bestsellers, he sat down and looked at all the work he had done. The result? 80% of the work was not worth the time, and did not matter in the end. Why had all the gurus been peddling all of these other things to make your book a bestseller? Who knows, maybe to load you up with content? But they just aren’t necessary. In fact, they can distract you and actually impair the ability of your book to become a bestseller. A perfect example is when you are told to post to 100 free promo sites. Don’t do it! Making a book a bestseller really only requires three simple steps. Ray dropped the rest, and the bestsellers came easier. He then began using the same techniques for his clients. **** "WITHIN 30 DAYS OF WORKING WITH RAY MY BOOK BECAME A BESTSELLER!" **** ***** Jeff Yalden, Best Selling Author, "BOOM!" ***** Bestseller Book Launch tells you the no frills approach to becoming a Bestselling Author. No fluff, no BS, just the exact method the author uses himself and for his clients. In Bestseller Book Launch, you will Why there is NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LAUNCH The only three steps you need to take to publish a Bestseller The one step most authors mess up and how to become an expert at it The only advertising you need to do, ignore what the rest of the experts say The one site that is a better place to advertise than all the rest and why most authors don’t understand it Stop wasting your time on what other gurus tell you! This is method is easier, faster and more successful than anything else you have read. If you are going to launch a self-published book, you might as well make it a bestseller, and this book tells you how. PRESS THE PURCHASE BUTTON NOW!

I've written and published several books of my own and over a hundred of my clients'. The one thing I haven't cracked yet is getting them to bestseller status. This book offers a simple, straight-forward approach to achieving just that, with a minimum of work, money, and hassle. It even includes a suggested timeline/plan. I'll definitely be trying this to see how it works for me.

I would have liked to see a bit more in the way of detail. For example, once you have your three tiers of launch team, exactly what do you say to them so that they can help you? For the three recommended book promotion sites, how much money should you spend with each? How do you decide that? Maybe this part is obvious as soon as you visit these websites; I'll soon find out.

The one thing that bothers me about this book is that every time I see the graphic on the cover, I think "why is there a flying banana peel/pencil on the cover?" Then I'm like, "oh yeah, it's a rocket that's a book, flying through space." Then next time I see it, I'm back to, "banana peel/pencil wtf?... oh yeah, book rocket." Every. Time.

Anyway, three cheers for simple! Can't wait to see if this works.

The three steps of a bestseller are: Social Proof Niche and Category Selection Sales and Promotions

For reviews we focus on in three areas: Up front using launch teams Requesting reviews inside your book Following up with readers who have given you their email for some other special bonus inside

Blue highlight | Location: 256
I divide them into three groups and send different emails to each: Standard launch team - little or no experience but are eager to help. They need the most instruction in your emails. Launch Team Pros - Most likely other authors who have participated on other launch teams. Executive Launch Team or editorial reviewers - Other established authors who give you reviews in advance for the editorial section of your book page (add these inside author central).

For The Author Startup, I came up with an idea. I called it the “SAME DAY LAUNCH TEAM.”

Blue highlight | Location: 280
You make the request once the book is out Promise only one to two emails Request they buy the book for 99¢ Provide a summary of your book and any buzz words that might be helpful for their use in a review (why not give them some help with the review, so they don’t have to think too much) I even provided a video summary of the book, for those like me who prefer visual interaction.

If you get your paid ABSR to 12,000 or lower for 48 hours, you can probably be a bestseller.

Blue highlight | Location: 313
The key is to pick a category at the very bottom of the tree, which is the least competitive but has at least 100 books. An ABSR of #10,000 or higher fits the bill.

Just how many books each rank sells per day can vary, but an easy way to figure this out is Dave Chesson’s Kindle Rank Calculator. https://kindlepreneur.com/amazon-kdp-...

Blue highlight | Location: 336
Inside KDP, always select “Non-classifiable.”

Blue highlight | Location: 339
Then contact KDP after you have hit the publish button to update your categories. I explain how to do that next!

Blue highlight | Location: 354
Provide the 10 new categories (there is space for only 2, just manually create 8 more in the text box starting with “3.” You must enter the full path of the category (see example above) If you already have categories assigned, or they auto-assigned some (which they might if you picked “Non-classifiable” when you set up the book), make sure you list them in the next section to be removed Hit send and they should update them within 24 hours If you don’t remove any existing categories, KDP will send you an email and also not update any. Don't waste time, be sure to remove the old ones!

You can be #1 in a category and not receive the bestseller banner. This is because Amazon’s algorithm for determining bestsellers also requires an undisclosed number of sales.

Buckbooks and Booksends will run a promotion to their lists on a specific day. So scheduling them near each other and in advance is critical.

For instance, if I want to target a reader who reads business books and also likes Tony Robbins, it is straightforward to do. That fact alone makes the tool more powerful than Amazon’s own Amazon Marketing Services (AMS).

Blue highlight | Location: 422
My experience has been that it costs around $10 per 1000 impressions. That means, for $10, 1000 people will see my ad. If I receive a 1% CTR (Click-Through-Rate), ten people have clicked on my ad. For my books, that means around eight people will buy.

I only launch on three days of the week, Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday. In fact, always on a Tuesday.

Blue highlight | Location: 460
Release Now Launch - Sample Schedule Release Now allows you to move these dates if you run into any problems. Day 1 - Publish Day / Release Day Day 1-14 - Ninja Mode (Steps 1 and 2) Day 14 - Launch Day (most likely a Tuesday) Day 14 - Buckbooks (schedule this in advance) Day 14 and ongoing - Bookbub Day 16 - Booksends (schedule this in advance)

Pre-Order Launch - Sample Schedule 2 Pre-Order Bestseller

The number of days in between each date aren’t critical until you are lining up the Buckbooks and Booksends ads. Those only run one day each, so we want to make sure we batch them close to each other.

It worked! Using the plan Mr. Brehm outlined in this book, my novel reached the #1 spot on Amazon and it only took two weeks to achieve. I also received the coveted orange "#1 Best Seller" sticker!

This system is designed for new releases, but it can easily be adapted for existing books too. My book had been out for two months and despite receiving solid reviews, it remained buried deep in the bowels of Amazon's book categories, where most indie books go to die.

I've read dozens of instructional books on how to achieve Kindle bestseller status, and although some of them had great advice, I wasn't able to get where I wanted to be. This strategy finally got me there. If you're a writer, you need this book in your library. It's a must-read.

Short Book, Big Advice

This is a very short book with big advice. Ray Brehm takes the complication out of self-publishing your book. While he agrees that many of the processes put forth by other authors are important, he believes they do not necessarily need to be done prior to launch. This would have been a five star rating, but there were some grammatical issues. However, based on the information alone, I would recommend this book, especially to newbie authors.

Worth a Read

Some eye-opening information I hadn't come across elsewhere. Glosses over some parts that are tougher than they sound and subtly pitches his service but still worth the money and the time.

It's OK.

I liked the ideas that the author shared, but they weren't anything that I didn't know. I am happy that his strategies have helped others and himself. This is a short, easy read.
