Fans of Sylvia Day and Lauren Blakely will love this hot and compelling contemporary romance.
~
Former dance student Sara Hart had aspired to grace the stage on Broadway, but a reckless decision forced her to renounce that dream. His touch makes her feel alive again and sparks a desire to rebuild her dance career. But Sara is still haunted by the demons of her past. One dark lie could cost her everything.

Real estate mogul Tom Wright caters to the rich and famous. He lives the life of the perfect bachelor, partying hard and dating the most beautiful women in Manhattan. But he has one golden rule--no commitments. Ever. Then he meets sexy Sara Hart, and something about her makes him want to throw the damn rule book out the window. Every time she's near, the blood in his veins pulses with a raging fire he can't contain. But Tom's shadowed history is resurfacing, unearthing ghosts he'd rather remain buried.

REAL LOVE AS IT IS. MESSY. COMPLICATED. AND SINFULLY ADDICTIVE.

Olivia Boothe has always been drawn to stories that blur the line between devotion and destruction. She writes emotionally charged romance infused with dark fantasy, magic, and high-stakes desire—where love is never simple, heroes are beautifully flawed, and passion can be as dangerous as it is intoxicating.

Her novels are known for their deep, layered plots and slow-burn intensity, because for Olivia, romance isn’t about the first kiss or the happily ever after—it’s about everything that happens in between: the longing, the sacrifice, and the moments that change you forever.

When she isn’t writing, Olivia can be found devouring books across every genre, binge-watching her latest TV obsession, or hosting Tuesday-night wine and junk-TV therapy with her girlfriends. She lives in Northern New Jersey with her husband, three sons, and her mini Aussie writing companion, Rosie.

I give this book 5 out of 5 Romantic Stars! When I read this book last week I was quite impressed that this was the author’s debut novel! I just loved the intensity of Sara and Tom first meeting. I really enjoyed both characters and thought they were well developed. I felt like I could also relate to Sara’s pain from her tragedy and how she felt. I even felt I could relate to Tom with his mistrust and feelings.

The way that Olivia Boothe wrote these two damaged souls’ romance was amazing and had me wanting more.

This romance still sticks with me days later from all of the feels it gave me and I know that this is a novel that I won’t soon forget. I can’t wait to see what Olivia Boothe has in store for us next! This romance touched my heart and helped me believe in love through our tragedies and hardships.

Well, first things first. Let's take a moment to drool over the cover. It's pretty, isn't it?

Ok, done? Great, now we can talk about the story. I loved the description of this book. There's something about secrets that just draws me in. Maybe because my favorite thing ever are those moments when they trust each other with the part of themselves they have kept hidden for so long. It's sweet and magical, it makes my heart happy. If you enjoy those moments as much as I do, this book won't disappoint.

The story itself reminded me a lot of the movie, Save the Last Dance. But it was still very different, I know I'm not making sense right now.

This book reads as a light-hearted romance, but there are some deeper themes such as PTSD, and survivors guilt. The author dealt with these things beautifully. I was right there with the characters feeling their fears and apprehensions as they fell in love with each other and I fell in love with them.

When you read romance novels as much as I do, you sometimes notice things that seem to come up over and over in various books. Specifically, I'm talking about the phenomena where the hero has never had another girlfriend in their home. I've read that countless times and shrugged it off. This is the first time I've found that confession not only believable but meaningful to the story.

The only thing I didn't like about this book was the beginning. For pages and pages, we have Sara rambling about how she can't get Tom out of her mind, after one brief chance meeting. I found it annoying and repetitive and I skimmed through the first 10%. After that point, the story is engaging.

Overall Wicked Dance was a story about two people coming together, sharing the burden of their secrets, and realizing they are worthy of love. It was well written, and will leave you with a smile on your face.

Story: 3.5
Narration: 4
Overall: 4
This is a hard review to write because usually I really like a book or really dislike a book. For me this story was ok.

I did feel like I'd had enough at one point because of something that Sara witnessed  and then had a sensual experience of her own. I just felt this was completely unbelievable.

Overall I think that this is a romance that other people would adore but for me it plodded on. I tend to prefer a faster paced read.

Olivia Boothe does deal with some delicate issues really well and they fit well within the story-line. The romance between Sara and Tom is, on the whole, well penned and enjoyable.

Vanessa Moyen does a good job with the narration. She expresses thoughts and emotions well and has a pleasant voice that works well for the characters in Wicked Dance. The narration is clear and precise and the different character vocals are well done.

Ok, this book didn't blow me away, but considering that it is a debut novel it is still impressive and I would definitely read/listen to more of Olivia Boothe's work.

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wicked Dance is a story of a dancer, who gave up a promising career on Broadway after car accident that killed her mother 4 years before. So when we meet Sara she is as an assistant to the head of the Dance School. Sara hates her boss Rebecca, who is an obnoxious women, who treats Sara shabbily.
Sara believes that she deserves to be unhappy, and keeps her emotions bottled up inside. Then she meets Tom and their connection is instant. What follows is a dance where they both try to understand their feelings for each other. They both have secrets they are hiding from each other.
This audiobook is 11hours long and ends suddenly, so we know there is another one coming.
I have to be honest Sara drove me mad, she seemed very immature, especially with her dealings with Tom. The sex is hot and Tom was swoonworthy and very romantic. It made me fill tired listening to the fast pace of the narrator, and listening from mostly from Sara’s POV .I think just because I was not blown away, we can’t all enjoy the same things. I would probably read something else from Olivia Boothe.
The narrator was very clever with the different voices and accents.

This book frustrated me beyond belief. There were some really really promising parts in the book but the buildup almost had me feeling like the story was over dramatic if that is even possible.
Let's start with Sara, she is a scared woman who feels like her mothers death was her fault and she has been punishing herself for that for so long.
Tom who is a war vet basically never lets any woman get too close to him because his fiance left him.
Both of them have serious reason why they should feel this way but the story really just felt over dramatized to me.
Tom wouldn't tell Sara what he did for a living, he is a real estate agent. Big whoop.
She wouldn't tell him that she worked in the dance company because she was a dancer.
She falls in love with him, but then tells him things are moving to fast. Says they can't have sex then says she can't resist.
He winds up catching her dancing with Alexei which throws him into a jealous rage, she feels like he will never understand that she loves to dance... why not?
He tells her that his assistant basically tried to rape him and he decided that she should still keep working for his company and expects her to not be jealous or upset... sure!

Then when it just starts getting good, cliffhanger. Now I am all for a good cliffhanger but there is nothing about this dysfunctional couple that leads me to believe that new and exciting adventures are coming down the line.

Olivia Boothe Chronicles of a Dancing Heart bk 01 Wicked Dance

Truthfully, after 15 minutes into the book, I wanted to call it quits. I'm a non-coffee drinker, and the excessive detail about how Sara Hart goes about getting her morning fix lost me. As the book continued, I realized that excessive detail is the modus operandi for this author.

Tom Wright seemed like a decent enough guy, but I couldn't muster half the attraction that Sara felt. They are awkward together, running hot and cold faster than I can turn the handle of the faucet on my sink, frequently letting moments slip and fall. Also, they both hold back plenty and are quick to judge different situations. It drove me batty.

A couple other things that got to me: Sara has an unhealthy relationship with her roommate, Jen. The airport is JFK; I've never heard anyone call it Kennedy International. Anytime I've flown into it or talked about it, it's been referred to as either JFK or JFK International. I know it sounds petty, but it honestly bugged me.

This ends partway through the story, not a real cliffhanger, more like a commercial break, and I quickly realized that I don't care how it ends. I was hoping I'd have a spark of interest about a potential oopsie or their eventual HEA. Nothing.

The saving grace? When he embarks on several journeys to her "private crease," it was a consistently hot ride.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Vanessa Moyen. She's good with females, but really could've used a male counterpart.

This was breathtakingly beautiful.

Me the whole time I was reading:

Sara and Tom have such a strong and amazing attraction that it leaves your cheeks red as you turn the pages. There were moments when I had to put my book down and take it all in. Burning cheeks, racing mind, fast heartrate. I was ecstatic throughout this whole book start to finish. Tom's and Sara's chemistry radiated through the pages, leaving me wanting a Tom of my own.

When they grieved, I grieved. When they laughed, I laughed.

I connected to this book on a level that is so beautiful and heartwarming.

I am so excited to learn more about their relationship when I get to start the next book of this series.

Wicked Dance by Olivia Boothe is the First book in the Chronicles of a Dancing Heart Series. This is the story of Tom Wright and Sara Hart. Tom is a very successful Real Estate mogul who doesn't do love but does enjoy the women. Sara had thought her life would be that of a dancer but a car accident that took her mother and left Sara with guilt she couldn't get past she is left that dream alone. Now in her present day she is an assistant with a Dance Studio, with a boss she doesn't care for. Then a chance meeting at a coffee show she meets Tom. This starts their journey to finding something neither thought they wanted or deserved but is something they both really need. This book does end with a cliffhanger setting us up for the next installment into their story. This is the first book by this author, and for me I enjoyed her writing.

Wicked Dance is about overcoming your fears and taking a chance on love.

I’m going to start with the characters. I loved Tom! Loved his flaws and all. He’s a sexy man who has his own demons but is a good guy for the most part. Jen is great too. We all need a best friend like her. The horrid ones were well written too. The ones you love to hate! Next up, Sara. It took me a bit to come around. I understood her pain and her distrust. What I didn’t understand was some of her actions. I was like “girl get it together!” and she did. All of that being said, this was a good read. I enjoyed it. I was rooting for these two the whole time! I really liked the connection Tom and Sara had. The playful banter and their dates. Ah good times. I hope there’s another book because that ending…..I give this 4 stars.

A fantastic debut from author Olivia Boothe. Wicked Dance was beautifully descriptive, with well developed characters. It was fast-paced, without feeling rushed; it took you on such a journey that you felt yourself right there watching Sara and Toms relationship develop. I adored the storyline, it wasn’t your typical “boy meets girls”, it had a freshness about it and was so different to a lot of books in the same genre. It makes me really excited to see what’s to come next!

I loved this book. It features two broken souls who have scars from their past and fear being hurt but can’t help their attraction to each other.

This is an insta-love, alpha billionaire romance. While insta-love novels are not my favorite, I LOVE billionaire romances. Sara and Tom, the MCs, are intensely attracted to one another and you couldn’t help but want these two to end up together. This sweet love story felt very realistic and Booth has depicted the characters’ struggles with PTSD and grief in a realistic manner.

I loved these two and I can’t wait to see how their story ends in Wicked Embrace!

Rating: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

4.5 STARS, closer to 5 than 4

This wasn't about an undeniable physical attraction; it wasn't about lust or need. It was about the bond growing between us. The possibility of a love so strong it could hold us together and potentially even tear us apart. by Sara

Cover: It is great. New York is a major part of the story and is has been well showcased here. Also to the couple is sexy but in shadows, which is how it feels for us.
Plot: Great setting, right pace, kept me guessing and wanting more. The story is cohesive with a bit of smut all pertinent to the story.
Characters: They are the star here. They are multi-dimensional with so much to tell. Their emotions are strong and we feel with them. So easy to connect and understand.
Heat: Their attraction is undeniable. This is more than looking at someone and finding them hot. This is meeting of souls. They are the missing piece of each others' puzzle.
Freshness: There is something unique in this book. This is an unforgettable story.
Addictiveness: Wow! This was a long night for me. This book was long, but I couldn't sleep before finishing it. My husband woke up at 2.20 a.m  and said "Are you crazy? Don't you have to wake up at 5.30 a.m. ?". Yes, my husband has no idea how a book can be addictive and feed a soul.

Plot: I took half a star because of the end. I know there will be more books, but it does leave the readers hanging a bit and there was no warning anywhere. Usually the end has to be the best part, but here it wasn't.
Characters: I guess book one is all about Sara since we have only a couple of chapters with Tom. I've missed knowing him better. There are a lot of pain from his side also and not everything has been fully explained.

Wow! I've finished this book last night and still haven't been able to find the right words for my review. Lots of emotions, and a bit loss for words.

So I guess this is going to be a work-in-progress, with me veering out of my "script".

At the same time, I don't want to spoil anyone from the journey this book has taken me on.

I read somewhere this was Ms. Boothe first book, which  I know it must be mistaken. I mean this is a love story. This is about meeting of souls and hearts in the middle of chaos and loss.

Sara and Tom are two lost souls wandering in the world until fate, Ms. Boothe totally made me believe in fate, brings them together. No, this is not an easy path. The right ones, are never easy. Their journey hurts and heal. Their path brings you joy and sadness. You are not a spectator, you have hopped on the roller coaster cart right at the beginning of the book and you are unable to jump out until it crashes and mends you again.

Yes! Besides all that, Ms. Boothe's plot is well constructed and the setting description is amazing, you really believe you are walking down the streets of New York and riding on the road to New Jersey.

Both characters are so complex that I've ended the book feeling like their best friend. I love them and I totally understood them.

What else can I say.... this journey doesn't end here. I know there will be more and I can't wait to be part of it again.

Whenever book 2 is coming I will be riding along with them!!!

A long time ago, I threw away the key to the towering prison housing my feelings, hoping no one would ever find it. Somehow, someone did, and he was outside on a proverbial white horse, waiting to whisk me away to freedom. if only I could tell him why I denied myself the liberty of being loved.  by Sara

You MAY read this because you like love stories; you SHOULD read this to meet a new wonderful author; you MUST read for a thrilling roller-coaster ride!!!

Though author Olivia Boothe was kind enough to send me Wicked Dance for review, this opinion is entirely my own and not influenced by anybody.
As my rating already suggests, I really loved Wicked Dance, which is the story of former dancer Sara Hart and real estate mogul Tom Wright. When it comes to NA romance novels it's always either hit or miss for me but this one was definitely a hit. Olivia has a way of writing that's very intriguing and addicting and I couldn't put the book down. I totally would have devoured it in one sitting, if time would have allowed it. One of the greatest things for me was how sympathetic the two main characters were. I don't like it, how the rich and famous guys are often portrayed in NA. Often they are either arrogant or treat the woman they desire as their personal property. Not so Tom. He was so sweet and understanding and romantic and also sexy as hell. And on the other hand we had Sara, who was so relatable - and finally a female protagonist who wasn't annoying at all. A woman with corners and edges, stubborn, sometimes self conscious but also strong and independent. Both main characters had also shadows in their past that were revealed throughout the book --> which added another interesting element to the story. I loved how their story build up in general, though sometimes I had the feeling they were talking past each other and then one of the two got hurt and totally shot down. So sometimes I would have liked that they would have listened more closely to each other. And not related to this but there was one particular scene that I had my issues with but it contains SPOILERS, so please don't read on, if you haven't read the book yet.

SPOILER BEGINNING!!!
So there was this one scene where Sara witnessed Alexei - the famous dance choreographer - raping Estella - one of the dancers. For me it was really clear that it was rape because Alexei was criticizing Estellas performance, was really violent towards her and Estella left his office crying. Sara is shocked about what she has seen but not much later Tom is visiting her at work and they have sex in Sara's office. I mean... I get the guy is hot but after seeing someone getting raped, I don't think I would be in the mood to get hot and heavy myself. At the end of the day, Sara tries to talk to Estella - who is protecting Alexei - but there are no further actions. I would have appreciated it, if this would have been woven in to the plot. Maybe getting Alexei fired or at least to have something to hold against him, as he was criticizing Sara in his office and asking her, if she really believes that her mother would be proud of her. Or maybe even Estella, who's willing to testify against him and Tom having a client who is a dance choreographer. I don't know but if it's not ment to be explored more, I would have cancelled the scene but that's only my personal opinion.

SPOILER END!!!

Overall it was a wonderful read and actually one of the best NA novels I've ever read. So if you are looking for a new addiction, that's definitely your book. :)

I was fortunate enough to read an early copy of Wicked Dance and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this story. Olivia Boothe has created a completely engrossing story, full of complex characters and all consuming moments.

Tom and Sara meet in an almost meet-cute way, busy coffee house, spilled coffee, and charming smiles. That's how the best romances start right? That's the easy part because they are most certainly complex. They each have demons they are dealing with, meaning they have messy pasts and seem to be utterly tormented, but are somehow still living their daily lives. I loved seeing how they navigated this relationship because neither one of them has much experience with them. Almost everything is difficult and opening up proves to be almost back-breaking! The one thing that is easy is the love, that's effortless. And that's the one thing that we live for, so I was rooting for them! Sara could be stubborn as hell, and Tom could get upset a little quickly, but they were made for each other! There was the unmistakable fiery passion between them that just seemed to overflow into their arguments as well.

I am certainly hoping for more of Tom and Sara's story because I feel like there is so much more to tell. This story had everything I was hoping for, with its passion driven characters and excellent story line. Boothe's debut novel is one that will leave you wanting more!

Olivia Boothe reached out to me and asked me to read her novel Wicked Dance and review. I downloaded a sample and got a few pages in before I was hooked already so I agreed. This book was absolutely amazing! I loved it so much. Sara and Tom are just instantly drawn to one another. Both of them have guarded their hearts and had no interest in ever finding love again. Like magnets, these two can’t seem to be apart after that first meeting in the coffee shop. Afraid of getting hurt again and not feeling like she deserves to be happy ever again, Sara does her best to keep Tom at arms length and not get too close. These two have so many ups and downs, this book is like a rollercoaster for your emotions. You instantly are rooting for them to figure it out and I lost count how many times I thought Sara was an idiot, Many women dream about a guy who romances his woman and sweet talks her but Sara is constantly rolling her eyes at Tom when he does this and tells him he's corny. I’ll gladly take her place!

As this is a duet, we are left with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to find out what happens with Tom and Sara. This book is a must read! The only thing I disliked about this book was Sara’s best friend Jen but towards the end of the book she started to grow on me. Definite 5 star read!

(3.5/5): Following the story of Sara, an ex-dancer now working in administration for a renowned dance company, Wicked Dance tells of her complex relationship with tall handsome stranger Tom, who has plenty of his own secrets about his past.

I particularly enjoyed the dance elements of the story: I’ve never before read a book where the emphasis was more on the day-to-day running of an artistic dance company, rather than all about the dancers. I thought the story gave an accurate insight into the real deal, the fact that professional dance environments can be a lot darker than people often realise: insecure, manipulative, and at worst, abusive. The dance-oriented storylines were effective in connecting up all the various themes and elements of the book, and did a great job of keeping me engaged throughout the book. If you have an interest in dance, you might like to give this one a go too.

Wicked Dance is wicked indeed. It's hot, it's layered and it's utterly addicting to read.

Sara is a former dance student unhappy with her job and unhappy with her life, when she meets Tom at their local coffee shop. He captures her interest from their very first meeting, but she's left with the feeling that she wasn't even a blip on his radar. Until one day he comes to her rescue and a relationship is formed.

I like that both these characters have layers, have inner demons they're trying to fight. Sometimes they drove me crazy, with the push and pull, but they were interesting for all their damage. And their chemistry? HOT! So why 4 stars and not 5? The ending was abrupt and left me unsatisfied. It left me wanting more, though, so if was intentionally abrupt to make me want more, then it was effective. If more isn't coming, then perhaps it was just bad writing. I'm hopeful more is coming, though, because Sara and Tom certainly deserve a more satisfying ending to their story.

When I started Wicked Dance, at first I thought I was reading the script of Save The Last Dance. Because there Sara also loses her mother in a car accident, while she was supposed to go to Juilliard.

But where the Sara from the movies falls in love with a guy from 'the hood', Sara Hart falls in love head over heels with the mysterious guy at the coffee shop. This turns out to be Tom, a very wealthy hot guy, who doesn't do relationships.

But when those two meet, the worlds just shifts on its axis. Both Sara and Tom are unexpectedly attracted to each other. And frankly: it just scares the hell out of them. We see through both their eyes how they struggle with this new turn in live. While both have secrets and both are damaged in the past, we see how they act like to magnets: pulling together and pushing each other away when coming too close.

It is a wonderful story, full of unexpected twists and turns. An emotional rollercoaster for both them and you (keep your tissues ready...). And while I sometimes just wanted to smack them on the head, for acting so stupid, you just fall in love with them.

A great read, four out of five stars from me. And a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This is a debut novel from this author? I can’t believe that’s true. From the very beginning I was pulled into Sara’s story and what happened in her past to have her in the career she is in now. Once we’re introduced to Mr. ID things only get more intriguing, there’s something about that that had me wanting to know him on a deeper level just like Sara had. Little by little both of their layers are peeled back both individually as well as together and a heartbreaking, beautiful story is told. This story has a great mix of deep emotions that will have you fighting back tears and then other moments that will have your BP rising high. Tom is a man that proves you can change if you truly want to. Its not forced upon you, you feel it in your soul. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Great story! This is a brief summary. Sara had emotionally shut down due to her tragic past until Tom came in as knight in shining armour. Tom had a past with heartache and tough trials as well. The story includes them helping each other overcome the walls they had built, shutting everyone else out of their lives. I wasn't crazy with the way Sara responded/or lack of response to different situations, but overall she was a strong character. I'm still confused by the ending- is there more? This is my reasoning for the 4.5 on stars. It ended with him defending her honor, and we'll see what happens tomorrow. . .. I'm not sure if I accept this as an ending or view it as a to be continued. Overall it's a good read and I'd recommend.

Wait it’s over?!?
I don’t usually read romance novels, usually a sci-fi fan with a sprinkle of chic-lit but Olivia Boothe’s book was recommended so I gave it a shot. Let me just say I’ve haven’t been this involved with two characters in quite some time. Mr Wright is what Mr Grey should have been and Sara is all of us. This book had love, lust, conflict, and a great story that kept you wanting more. Actually when it ended I went back a couple pages and read it again because I was sad it was over. I look forward for the next book in the series....there is going to be a next book???? Please!

I found this book entertaining but at times found the characters a little over the top. I did enjoy the storyline of broken dreams and overcoming the past to look towards the future. I would have given this story a higher rating if it were not for the ending that was abrupt and did not leave me satisfied. I was hoping for a book two to find out how Tom and Sara ended up but it seems this is the only book.

I loves this book. I have a strong dance background, and also just recently took it back up again as well, so I can relate to this character alot. I was so captivated by this story. I couldn't put this book down. It was so well written. The relationship between the main characters, Tom and Sara was just so strong. You felt what they felt. It was hard not to. The characters that she wanted you to like you did, and the ones that weren't as likeable, you didnt like. I was hooked from the first page. I'm sad the story is over, but I'm glad I got to read it. This was my first book by this author, and it wont be my last. To me, this was a five star read, and a book I would definitely read again.

I received an eARC of this book from NetGalley, but that does not affect my review.

It's been over a month since I read this book, I really do need to get my act together when it comes to writing reviews. As much as I loved it and my rating won't change, I'm having a hard time remembering everything that happened in it. But that's mostly due to the fact I'm a fast reader and should pay more attention to everything.

Olivia Boothe has a wonderful and colorful way with words which made it such a quick and easy read. She has developed characters that are complex and seeing their love story unfold was such a joy. I could really feel everything the characters were feeling.

Sara has always dreamt of becoming a dancer, but due to a horrific accident, she abandoned her dreams and now tortures herself working at a dance studio. But when she meets Tom and is instantly attracted to him, her love for dance seems to grow as well. The book follows their journey of acceptance and growth.

As a lover of Step Up and other dance movies, I'd so love to see this made into one. It definitely has enough of raunchiness and intrigue in it, as well as many strong characters. Can't wait for the other books in the series!

This is a beautiful slow burn of a story. The characters are fully realized and feel like people I know (and would like to meet for a drink!). The setting is so detailed I felt like I was walking down the streets of NYC with Sara. I loved the immersion into the characters’ world and the time the author takes to explore their lives before throwing them together. The tempo and pacing of this story is unusual in a time when so much feels rushed and disposable. This is not a disposable story. It’s a story to savor and read again and again.

The main characters have real personal demons. I won’t spoil the story by saying what they are or what they need to do to face them, but both bring serious baggage to their potential relationship. Their romance is messy: in turns hurtful, healing, hilarious and heartbreaking.

There is a resolution here: the author has not left us on a cliffhanger which I deeply appreciated. But there is clearly more to Sara and Tom’s story. I’m very much looking forward to reading the next chapter in their lives!

This book was such a pleasant surprise...I loved it! I couldn't believe this was the author's first book! The characters were so well developed, and the story telling was so rich and detailed, and just real!
Sara and Tom were both such beautifully broken characters. They've both struggled with painful losses and guilt, and are just surviving the best they know how. This book made me laugh and cry, and even cringe at how painfully awkward Sara was at times. I could see a little of myself in Sara, which made it both funnier and more cringe worthy! I just wanted to slap them a few times and tell them to pull it together! It was a really good book, and I'm definitely looking forward to this authors future books!

To start off, I hadn't realized that this was the first book by this author. Having just found that out, I'll say that I am impressed. I was for the most part thoroughly immersed in the story, didn't really want to put it down. However, there were some things that annoyed me a bit and just didn't make sense.

I've always been fascinated with dance, even if I can't dance myself. So I'm always excited when a book features a character with a dance background. Sara's life revolved around dance until an accident caused her to give up her dreams of dancing. As an outsider looking in, I can understand why she gave it up.

When Sara sees Tom for the first time I thought it was cute how she was shy and speechless and awkward. And I liked them together as a couple. But there were just certain things that I didn't understand, particularly the various things that they didn't seem to want to tell each other. But in the end them coming clean with each other was the best thing that could have happened and I was excited to read more. And then an incident at Sara's place of work happened, causing Tom to step in to defend her and then.... The end!

I totally get this book is part of a series, and being that there was no information about book two, I didn't realize that the story would be continued in the next book. At least I'm assuming it will be continued in book two. I'm unsure whether to categorize it as being a cliffhanger (and for the record, I don't have a problem with cliffhangers) but there were definitely story points that were left unresolved. It just ended so unexpectedly that frankly I was really disappointed. I mean I stayed up til 3 o'clock in the morning to see what happens, particularly because of how intense the story became only to have it suddenly end.

I would like to read the next book, because I need an ending (aka. a happily ever after). :)
