"Life really can turn out beautifully."-Harper

When I opened this book, I truly didn't know what to expect. This is my first M.J. Summers read and I can honestly say it was amazing! I cannot wait to read more of her work. I was completely blown away by this beautiful tender romance!

description”/>

Harper is a successful New Yorker working in the fashion industry. At the beginning of the story, she receives a call that her father has been in an accident. Harper realizes that she needs to return home in order to take care of her dad. Harper is reluctant to leave her job in NY but knows that family comes first so she returns home to be his care giver.

When Harper returns to Boulder, she has a quick run in with an old high school friend named Evan. As it so happens, Harper had a crush on Evan all through high school.

"He wasn't just a man. He was the man. And she knew without a doubt that she would be utterly unable to resist shamelessly throwing herself at him if he paid her even the slightest bit more interest."-Harper

description”/>

The two rekindle their friendship and begin to spend time together. As with most modern romance stories, both Harper and Evan have some emotional baggage that they are dragging along. Harper was abandoned by her mother at a young age. In addition to the pain she felt from the abandonment, it was the circumstances behind her mother's departure that caused even more self loathing and doubt. The small town has ridiculed Harper and her family for years and years. Even after all of the time that has passed, she is still tainted by her mother's departure.

Evan is a recently divorced man. The marriage ended badly and he has decided to stay away from any serious relationship. Both Harper and Evan are down for some fun. They decide to have a relationship knowing that Harper will be returning to the big bright lights of NYC as soon as her dad is on the mend.

"We can have this simple, beautiful, sexy relationship and then move on."-Evan

description”/>

The sexual chemistry between Evan and Harper is off the charts. I felt like these two had it all! All of the tender moments, the satirical banter, the steamy romance, and both physical and emotional intimacy.

The character development with each character in this read is utter perfection. I had a good understanding of all of the family dynamics and the emotions each character was feeling. Told in dual POV Ms. Summers offers the complete picture for us to enjoy. Harper and Evan both had some good friends that were amazing supporting characters. There was a constant push and pull between Evan and Harper. They are constantly trying to ignore the inevitable (they are falling in love) and only trying to live in the moment. Both Harper and Evan were amazing characters. They were well matched and I simply couldn't put the book down. Towards the end of the read, both characters made some choices that were beyond frustrating. However considering the history of both of these individuals, I can see why they needed to time to work through their emotions.

In addition to the central plot of the love story, we also see Harper's Dad dealing with depression as he begins to heal from his injury. We experience the love of two best friends (Harper and Megan). We see lives transformed by the circumstances life has thrown at them.

Overall, Breaking Clear is a fantastic read. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in a tender romance, with a heavy dose of family connections, and a slice of angst. It is always such a delight when you find a read that takes you away. This is not only going on my favorites shelf but my favorites of the year. This is a tender romance with a lot of heart. Bravo Ms. Summers!

Favorite Quotes:

“She hadn’t realized her career had been circling the bowl, but she knew now that Cybill’s bony finger had been firmly positioned on the handle and she was about to flush.”

“It did feel good at the time, but now I’m think I probably shouldn’t have asked if she’d had Botox injected into her heart to stop her from having feelings or if she’d just had her face frozen into place so no one would know she was having an emotion. That may not have been the smartest choice.”

“You’re a man. Men are not that complicated. You’re either hungry or horny… Even James Bond is either looking for food or sex. The espionage just gets in the way most of the time.”

“This matters. Whatever this is. You matter. And I’m going to be with you.”

“We should have shipped her off to a convent when she was fourteen. Married her off to Jesus. That would have been a lot better for my blood pressure.”

My Review:

I have enjoyed every MJ Summers book I have ever read. Her stories are easy to follow, funny, and steamy. I particularly love her characters and the smart and snappy exchanges between them. Evan is the perfect boyfriend, he is thoughtful, sexy, handsome, sweet, gentle, kind, an excellent lover, and he actually listens when she talks – men like that are as common as unicorns. Harper is sassy, feisty, smart, driven, ambitious, and extremely stubborn. Both are deeply damaged and hell bent on avoiding a meaningful relationship, and they hurt each other without meaning to as well as when they are meaning to. The writing squeezed my heart as well as had me gasping and smirking. I hope I am paying attention when book 4 comes out.

Up and coming magazine director, Harper Young, is sent back to her extremely rural home town to care for her now seriously injured father.

When Harper returns to her family home, she discovers her high school crush has bought out his family's home right next door.

Old flame reignite but will these two very different people find a way to make their very different lives come back together for the long haul.

This is a cute but very hot romance. It is slow building with past relationship scars causing a good amount of reluctance and obstacles. Breaking Clear was a very enjoyable romance with the hometown feel.

I received this ARC copy of Breaking Clear from Book Enthusiast Promotions - Gretz Corp in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication June 30, 2015.

So i did not enjoy this one as I thought I would. I didn't really like Harper and I'm finding a recurring theme with these women in these books ALL IGNORANT and STUBBORN. Except for Claire she wasn't nearly as stubborn as the other women. I felt this book was laking in details, jumped around a little more but I did enjoy seeing lots of Megan and Luc. The ending seemed very very rushed

Review by Trinette Dungee

I reeeaaallly liked this book! From the moment Harper got her stuck on the fence in her bathrobe I was sucked in! This was one of those books where when I couldn’t take my iPad, I pulled out my phone and continued reading on my Kindle App. Yep, even sitting in the middle of dinner with my kids at P.F. Chang’s I was reading and getting annoyed with them for talking to me.

Harper Young is a jet-setting art director for a high profile magazine. She works long hours and flies all over the world and she loves it, the fashion industry is her life. She’s not trying to get married or have babies; there’s no settling down for this lady…nope she’s got an ultimate goal and she is well on her way to achieving it. That is, until a family emergency has her leaving her life in NYC to return home to Boulder, Colorado. Once there she comes face-to-face with all the things she tries to forget about. Like the gossip from fifteen-years ago when her mom left her family for a younger man, oh and the pesky crush she had on her older brother’s best friend Evan Donovan who never even knew she existed. Returning home, striking up a relationship with Evan (that has an expiration date) and spending time with her family and her best friend has Harper yearning for a different kind of life and wondering if she was ever really truly happen with her jet-setting lifestyle. A different kind of life with Evan would be perfect but he’s made it quite clear that love and marriage aren’t for him.

Evan Donovan has suffered some major blows; his company went bankrupt and his wife left him. He’s finally putting his life back together, his company is flourishing again, his employees are happy and he’s determined to not travel down that road again, especially the road that involves love and marriage. But when little Harper Young (who’s not so little anymore) literally falls into his arms, he can’t help but to want her, but this is his best friend’s little sister and even though Harper says she can handle a little fling with him until it’s time to get back to her life in NYC, Evan isn’t so sure she can. What’s worse is, the more time he spends with Harper the more blurred the lines start to get for him and has him wondering if the whole love and marriage thing is worth another shot.

Okay, the first thing I liked about this book? The banter, I love real conversations between characters. The kinds of conversations that you could actually picture yourself or people you know having. The second thing I liked about this book, the age bracket! Not that I don’t like the YA or the twenty-something’s but there’s just something to be said for reading about two people who are solid in their careers with some real life experience; a couple where one of them isn’t so inexperienced and still damned near a virgin. Both of these guys have their baggage and issues that drove me slightly batty, but it was a good kind of batty.

In the beginning I felt like it was Harper with the issues but as I got further into the book I realized Evan had his fair share too. As with all love stories, all of the problems could have been wrapped up with a real heart-to-heart conversation between the two, but where’s the fun in that? This book had just the right amount of humor, sarcasm and heart-wrenching moments that made this a really good read for me. Very rarely does a book make me literally hold my breath or has me feeling that actually ache in my heart for a character but I did both. Especially when Evan decided he was going to tell Harper how he really felt about her. My heart ached for him at her reaction to the Christmas present he gave her…Really Harper?! (Insert angry face). And I kind of gasped when Evan had his little temper tantrum meltdown and the things he said to Harper….not cool Evan, not cool at all.

This is the third installment of MJ Summers’ Full Hearts Series. I haven’t read the first two yet but it can be read as a stand-alone. You know how I feel about reading books out of order but this one you really can. There are a few moments that involved supporting characters where I felt like “okay, I definitely need to go back and check out the book before this one” but it didn’t make this a difficult read. I’m very anxious to go back and read the two previous books and I’m looking forward to reading then next one.

I was given this book for my honest review

As the spring approaches and the dew sits upon the ground the memories of tomorrows begin to grow in our mind. The ones of yesterday that the site before us sits as a blank canvas for our hearts to fulfill with as much glory as our minds and hearts can hold. The ground is set with seeds and bulbs of many different kinds of flowers that our imagination can only sit and wait as the majestical colors and smells of the most essential powers come alive. Can Harper and Evan find their flourish of a majestic kind?

What can I say about this authors writing? She brings every detail to life in this most tantalizing read. Not only does she create a mystery of sorts but she creates a vision like no other. The most transformational of all that she creates within in the pages is the love that the characters bring out. Jumping from within the pages is easy but finding “they lived happily ever after” isn’t so easy but this author does it with emotional proportions. Not to mention she throws sex scenes that will defrost a freezer within seconds.

An open mind, an open heart and the laughter that grows from within your soul will always allow the right love in and close all others out. The soul bearing love for one is not only inspirational but it is spellbinding.

Happy Reading

I have to say, I definitely liked this book even though it was very predictable. You could tell what was going to happen a mile away but you still kept reading because it kept you interested. Harper made me angry at times but then so did Evan when they both just wouldn't talk about how they felt. But most of the time I just wanted to strangle Harper. Even though Evan was never shy about saying how he felt about marriage, he was always clear that she meant more to him than anything else. But she just kept ignoring that fact and would either have sex with him or pick a fight with him to make the situation go away. I felt I could have had a little more to the story when dealing with Harper and her Mommy issues. I felt they were just swept under the rug and not dealt with. Her father repeatedly tried to talk to her and she would avoid it. That issue really never got resolved. Evan got his marriage issues resolved though, and I just felt like Harper got the shit end of the stock in character development. I would love a novella for them.

4.5/5

I loved the story..Harper and Evan - challenging characters and challenging circumstances. I specially liked Harper as she is fun, stylish, witty and list goes on. Her former boss reminded me of Miranda Priestly from Devils wears Prada....like I said fun ;)

I also loved Luc and Megan's wedding and for the first time in my life, I cried while reading a book at their wedding vows. Especially Luc's vow to Megan's son...so emotional.
If you like to read novels in sequence like I do...you'll love Megan and Luc's life - if not, well there is description provided for that as well so Enjoy!

I am disappointed that goodreads doesn't give you an option to provide 0.5 star to a novel however when you browse any novel, you'd see point average ratings as well.
MJ Summers has really outdid herself and this is the best in the series. Can't wait to read next, please have it available on netgalley........

This is the third book in the Full Hearts series. Each book can be read as a standalone. However I love these books so of course I'm gonna recommend you read them all.

Harper Young has a successful job that she lives in New York City. Unfortunately she must leave her job to go home to Colorado for a family emergency. Back at home she catches up with her past, including realising her new neighbour is the boy she had a crush on years ago Evan Donovan. Evan is getting his life back on track and doesn't want a relationship.
What happens when a friends with benefits arrangement starts to become more??

Loved the main characters. The storyline is great. This author has given me another great read. Loved it.

It’s a 3.75 stars. Like in the previous book, the author exaggerated with the drama. The last two chapters had lots of unnecessary scenes and could have used a better editing. But what really bugged me was how the characters were so immature for people at their late thirties. If they were in their early twenties I could see all the pouting and being so proud being justified. As it is, I couldn’t buy it. You’re near your forties so act like it, for God’s sake! The book would be cut in half if they had the appropriate level of emotional maturity to go with their age and it would have been totally fine because the story is actually quite good.

This is a perfect steamy fun summer beach read, and that is exactly where I enjoyed getting to know Harper and Evan. So glad I got an ARC so I didn't have to wait!!! Another sweet, lovely love story from a master storyteller! I know that the preface says that the books are standalone, and they truly are, but I would encourage readers to read the series to get a full appreciation of all the characters, especially Luc and Megan, who I adore. This is a must-read!!

Evan Donovan he's getting on track with his job. His job and his crew are now his family. Everything seems perfect again after his wife left him the moment he needed her more.
“Taking risks required confidence, focus and drive, all of which he felt as intensely as the granite his body was pressed against.”
Harper Young has a successful job in New York. Her past and her mother betrayal seems far away. When her father has an accident and his life is in danger, she leaves the Big City to return to the small town of Boulder, Colorado and take care of her dad. She's back to the place where gossips about her mother had ruined her life. But this is also the place where her forever love lives. Evan-from-Heaven is now her dad's neighbor.
“You're going to have to stop rescuing me like this. You'll turn me into a damsel in distress, and there's nothing I hate more.” - Harper
The attraction between them is instantaneous. They promise each other to take their relationship easy, to have fun together till Haper is getting back to her old life, to New York. They fight back their feelings thinking that is the best way to keep each other safe, to not hurt each other. But love and life instead seem to have other plans for them.
“Harper was everything he had always wanted in a woman without even knowing it. She was his perfect match and here she was, asleep in his amrs, trusting him completely and letting him in. He felt lucky to have her, even if it was just for a little while.”
This third book in Full Hearts series is another Must Read! MJ Summers has the abilty to bring to life strong, sweet and real characters.
Haper sometimes was so stubborn that I wanted to shake her upside-down, but she's smart, talented with a sweet heart.
What can I say about Evan? If I need some fixing at my house I want him!!!! Gorgeous, sexy, caring, loyal. He's strong and even if he's scared to commit again to a woman, he had no fear to risk everything he had to save his crew when the recession hit and start over again.
I loved to see Megan and Luc again in this book and see how their life is and new family are going on.
Besides Haper's dad we are introduced to Haper's protective brothers: Craig and Wes.
The sex scenes are always hot and embarrassing and hilarious moments never missing. I laughed and cried a lot.
I'm sad that this is the end of this geat series. But I put away the Secret Scenes booklets for this moment where I'm going to miss all such amzing characters.
Full Hearts Series is Highly recommended.

It was an easy, enjoyable read. But so cliche!! I swear I have read 4 books with a very similar story line , couple has fiery passion for eachother, but is scared to trust and fall in love, does fall for each other - but doesn’t want to admit it to themselves or eachother - they pretend they haven’t fallen in love with eachother but they have - they push eachother away, have steamy angry sex front the tension- one of them realizes with a push from a friend that the partner is a keeper and they’ve never been happier , they play emotional tug a war- and realize they’ve always loved eachother since 2nd meeting . Happily ever after . Blah! 3.5 star but rounded up cause I did enjoy it - but it wasn’t original

This was a terrific book! A little weepy and a lot flirty and happy! Harper returned to her hometown Boulder to take care of her Dad and falls into her high school crushes arms! Evan has been busy making a name for himself as a contractor and becoming a divorced man and catches the New York Fashionista in his arms! You’ll love her friends and family and Boulder. A lot of twists and turns but, a book you’ll love!
I voluntarily read and reviewed honestly an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Harper and Evan both have had some poor luck in love and relationships that now they avoid them, especially when it could be serious. Harper has to come home to take care of her dad to find her one time crush living next door and he’s as hot as he used to be.

Evan is all about enjoying what they have while she’s home, but he doesn’t want more. When it comes time for Harper to leave things will change and only if they both can accept their pasts will they survive.
It was decent to read and a lot better then meg and Lucs story. All in all it was decent.

Title: Breaking Clear
Author: MJ Summers
Publisher/Year: MJ summers 6/15/15
Length: 267 pages
Series: Full Hearts #3

Overview

As art director of Style Magazine in Manhattan, Harper Young's life is glamorous and fast-paced, just the way she likes it. This small town girl has left her roots - and her painful past - a million miles away . . . until one phone call changes everything. It's time to face her childhood and the man she left behind . . .

When Evan Donovan isn't on a construction site, he is usually hanging from a cliff somewhere. He's been dealt a rough hand when it comes to love and now believes in keeping things simple. But when Harper Young drops back into his life, things suddenly get complicated. He resolves to stay away but the pull he feels to her is just too strong. Harper and Evan quickly find themselves in each other's arms, telling themselves it's only for now and that soon they'll go back to their very different lives.

But true love doesn't exactly play by the rules - before long they're falling hard and fast. Soon they will have to ask themselves whether they're brave enough to put it all on the line and fight for their forever . . .

My Thoughts

Well, thanks again from NetGalley for this 3rd installment - much appreciated! As for the book, well i think that we all wanted to get to the bottom of Harper's story after meeting her in book 2 through Megan. And, we're not let down by how driven she is especially after seeing what happens when she's forced to choose life or work.

She chose life - of course - after hearing about a horrible accident that her father has, which makes her move from NYC - away from her amazing high powered fashion job to Boulder Colorado to be with her dad as he's on the brink of life and death, and then wondering what he'll do when he can't move his legs after a construction accident.

Adjusting to her new life once she's fired from her job, getting back into the swing of things in Boulder where she really has nothing to do aside from care for her dad who's still in the hospital, it's no wonder that she finds herself in a bit of depression. and of course it's those low moments that her sexy neighbor Evan finds her as well. Mind you, they have some history since she's been in love with him since high school and he never gave her the time of day.

So of course, knowing how our lovely author writes these stories, we have a couple that finds themselves so attracted to one another that they kid themselves into thinking that they can get sexually and romantically involved without getting romantically entangled. Meaning that there's great sex with no fear of getting attached. or so they think.

We go on a nice journey with these two - see a great comfort and relationship build here - with Harper finding herself again in town, and watching Evan thrive in his business. He's getting his confidence back in everything that he does after the debacle of his divorce - his ex leaving him because he went broke trying to maintain the lives of his employees. That's something that Harper doesn't even care about - the money bit and we see how that facet of things makes their relationship so much stronger. It also means that we get to see a lot of passion between them and it's really sweet and heated.

There's something to be said about sweet sex, that still has a lot of chemistry, and passion. It doesn't have to be dirty at all, but what it does is gives you that sense of connection and romance that sometimes you just really want.

Typical to the genre, there's that point in the relationship when things are going great, you're just about to admit that you love each other and the other shoe drops. Is it the ex? is it Harpers Job? is it both? well we do see a bit of all that pop up, and ultimately it means that Harper and Evan part ways, very unhappy about it, yet not willing to really admit to themselves that it's the wrong choice. For the remainder of the story we see these 2 miserable living their separate lives, needing the intervention of Megan and Luc - their close and caring friends to make any changes. Question is will there be enough to bring them back together and what will that mean since we know that their lives have taken them to different locales? The only way to find out my readers - READ it!

thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review.

Oh I'm so bummed that is finished.... MJ has fast become one of my new go to authors, her ability to create characters and have their lives told in such intricate detail has me with a huge smile.... Breaking Clear is book 3 in the Full Hearts series, and although it can probably be a stand alone my advice would be to read them in order as they have a carry over into a new story, this one is Harper Young's story.

We met Harper during Breaking Hearts, Megan and Luc's story as meg's best friend. She was a huge contributor to the Luc/Megan love story. As a high powered photo editor for Style magazine in New York, she is on her way up. She loves her job, fast paced, travel, all the coolest clubs, she is well and truly in her element. But when she receives a devistating phone call about her father and a workplace accident, she drops everything to return to Boulder, Colorado for him. This means packing up and moving home, a place that doesn't exactly have the best memories. 20 years earlier her mother walked out on her dad and brothers to be with a younger man.... This has left a hole in her heart and many eye rollers that still live there and make sure she will never forget. So returning home will be easy..... get her dad well, help with rehabilitation, then return to New York to find a new job.... easy! nope!!!!

Poor Harper underestimates her return home, starting with an unairconditoned Uhaul truck, her dad's house that has no hot water, and her next door neighbor - Evan Donovan, her childhood crush. Could life be any worse? yes, after an encounter where Evan gets to meet a much older and grown up in a womanly kind of way, has her baring him almost naked body only hours after arriving home.

This is the beginning of a heart wrenching, yet beautiful relationship, but not in the normal book boyfriend kind of way. Evan and Harper share a complicated past and now living next to each other it becomes a highly sexual one. They both figure that while she's in Boulder, some casual, hot hot hot sex with the guy next door should scratch the itch for the few months until she leaves again. Just a shame they were both to stupid to see the depth of their relationship before they both sabotage it.

Evan doesn't believe in love and marriage anymore after his ex wife left him when the recession hit and he was going to lose their house, so a casual fling with Harper is perfect. He finds himself counting down the hours every day to see her, but doesn't put two and two together to realize that Harper is his "the one", denial and their own arrogance was always destined to destroy anything they would ever have, but with complicated pasts, it is understandable.

After the biggest of big fights break out between Evan and Harper, she returns to New York with a new job offer. But with her departure came some very cruel words, and a side of Evan she had never seen, nor wants to see again. Not happy wiyh her new job, She is questioning her choice to leave Boulder, and it is Megan who gets her to realize that home is no longer the fast pace New York but her home town with her dad, but with that comes Evan. Throwing it all in she comes home again, but this time she hides away from Evan, she needs to move on and forget him, but that is something neither can do. Funnily enough it is Megan and Luc who coach Evan and Harper back together, but only if Harper can forgive the horrible things he said to her.

Will love win out????? I'm not telling, but I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

I was super excited that Breaking Clear, had some more Megan and Luc, they were my favourite couple during this whole series. If you are a fan of alpha males, strong women, heaps of sex and d-r-a-m-a, this series is the one for you to read. Do yourself a favor, one click them now.

I was once again drawn quickly into the story with these characters and writing style. I instantly fell for Harper and Evan and the struggles they were facing. Their families had lived next to each other in Colorado and they grew up as friends, even developing into a crush before they became adults and moved on with their lives.

Harper struggled with the gossip from the small town rumor mill about her mother skipping out on the family. Harper’s dad never got over the lost love from her mom but he stood firm and raised Harper and her two brothers. Even with her father’s love she was more than ready to leave that town and make her mark on the world as an art director for a magazine in New York, despite her evil vindictive boss. She was in charge of the photo shoots and she not only loved what she did, she was strong and confident in her choices that she made. One day she received a phone call that her dad needed her after an accident. While she didn’t want to go back to the bad memories of the small town and leave her life in New York, things happened and she had nothing to keep her there any longer. More than that, she was needed by the man who gave up everything to raise her.
Evan had it all, a successful business, a wife and more money than he knew what to do with, then came the recession and he lost it all. His wife was money hungry and went through his bank account, once it was gone so was she. After a long struggle he began to rebuild his life and company and was successful once again. He vowed that he would be happy with his rescue dog and three years’ worth of work scheduled but things might change when he sees the grown up Harper next door. I loved watching the friendship and banter between Harper and Evan form as adults. He helped her adjust to her new life and remained friends with her brother. Their will power was tested by the hot steaming chemistry that was flowing between them. This author knows how to make a hot scene sizzle and when you add the emotions into the mix, it will guarantee you needing a cool glass of water and a shower.

What started out as rekindling a friendship, it soon became a situation of trying to extinguish the flames of passion. Neither want to risk their hearts to the pain they have already felt but how can they refuse something that started twenty years ago? The author wrote a story of love, heart break and second chances. You will get to reconnect with some characters from the previous books which I always love in a series. You could read this as a standalone but to be honest, why would you want to miss out on the other great books in this collection. Each of her characters bring an added element to the series over all, distinct personalities that will make you love and care for them and stubbornness that will make you want to smack some sense into them. One thing is for sure, the author will certainly give you emotions that you can invest in and will have you coming back for more of her books.

This is the third book of the series and this one involves Harper Young. She must leave her job for a while at Style magazine because her father is injured at work and they don’t know if he will be able to walk again. Her two older brothers are nowhere near so it is up to her to get back to Boulder. After seeing her father in the hospital she decides to go the house to rest but realizes that there is no water. After going to a neighbors she finds herself locked out as she is climbing over the fence she gets stuck and hears a voice from the past Evan Donovan. The boy she always had a crush on and was hoping that he was bald and had a belly, but when he caught her failing from the fence she knew he did not and she realized that her robe opened up and he was now looking at her goods and smiling. After turning on the water for her he went back to his house and then for the next few weeks that was okay until they decided to do the friends with benefits plan. She was still planning on going back to New York when her father got better and he was not looking for a relationship being divorced. But as the story goes they were good for each other and she would go to his construction site with lunch and just show up to talk to him after all of his employees left for the day. She does go back to New York but ends up quitting because she needs more time off and her boss as she put had Botox injected into her heart instead of her lips. Their relationship heats up but neither of them wants to make it more, but she wants him to tell her he does and she would not be looking for any more jobs in New York. She does take a job back with her old magazine when a lot of the staff get fired and she wants him to tell her to stay but instead he tells her the most hurtful thing to her. Her mother ran off with a student when she was younger and she is always being compared to her, but he never did until that night. She left the next day, she does come back for good but not for him but for herself and decides to buy a place and live there. When he finds out he is stun, but she ignores him as much as possible. The only problem have with this story is the things he said to her and the mean spirited way in which they were said. I know it is just a story but as a father I would not want my daughter to put up with his words. It is one thing to forgive but the character intently said those words to be hurtful and mean and knew what the effect they would have on her after though out the story he told her don’t listen to people when they say those things. Other than that I really liked the book. I got this book from net galley.
