Gemma's favorite desk accessories for many years were a circular wooden token, better known as a 'round tuit,' and a fortune from a fortune cookie proclaiming her a lover of words; some day she'd write a book. All it took was a transfer to the United Kingdom, the lovely English springtime, and a huge dose of homesickness to write her first novel. Once it was completed and sent off with a kiss even the rejections, addressed to 'Dear Author', were gratifying.
After returning to America, she spent a number of years as a copywriter, dedicating her skills to making insurance and the agents who sell them sound sexy. Eventually, her full-time job as a writer interfered with her desire to be a writer full-time and she left the world of financial products behind to pursue an avocation as a romance author.
Her gamble paid off when she was a 2012 Finalist in the prestigious Golden Pen contest for Romantic Suspense and she received contracts for her first and second book.

Looking for a hot modern romance with a twist of classic mythology? You won’t “hate” this one at all!
Hate, by Gemma Brocato, focuses on Aerie Thanos, the Muse of Romantic Love and the hardened cop, Michael Finnegan. Aerie is just like most of us, simply looking for a true love that lasts. Finn is looking to escape close relationships that just mean pain to him. Together, they will determine if they can get along and fight another challenge in an ancient rivalry of the gods.

Strengths of Brocato’s works are her abilities to weave believable, contemporary characters in with details from mythology. She makes you believe both can exist in our world. The suspense of a quest, the excitement of battles using particular talents, and passionate love that only makes someone stronger are all part of what makes Hate a compelling read.

This book is the fifth in the Goddesses of Delphi series, but is fine to read by itself. I’ve read the others (Tyranny, Mayhem, Greed, and Hunger), and I think you would enjoy them too. It is hot, but felt appropriate to the relationship.

I haven't missed one story in this fabulous series yet, although all books can be read as standalone. Hate includes Greek mythology along with paranormal romance in a perfect blend. The author has weaved a story that kept me glued to my kindle. There is something very special about this entire series, and particularly with this book. I was left in thrall and wondering if a goddess of love could battle against hate, and find her one true love along the way.

I love the Goddesses of Delphi series. Each book comes with new drama, interesting characters, and tidbits of history thrown in. I am always fascinated by the tiny pieces of history thrown in and what significance each of the Muses has to do with these historical occurrences.

It's hard to not like the characters. I absolutely love Finn! His rough exterior, protectiveness, the way he's a tiny bit broken. And how can you not love the muse of love? I also love the fact that Gemma gave Zeus a bit of quirkiness & that we get glimpses of that in the stories.

The plot lines are intriguing for each book, with enough suspense thrown in to keep you drawn in, and Hate is no exception.

Hate is book 5 in the Goddesses of Delphi series, and while each book can be read as a standalone, I always recommend that people read them in order.

For me, everything about this book was on point. Character. Storyline. Sizzling romance. Even the author's ability to tug at my heartstrings. I've read the first two books in the series and enjoyed them, but this one I absolutely loved!! It held my attention from start to finish and I found myself thinking and wondering what would happen even when I wasn't reading. There's an intriguing twist in this one that makes the hero different from the other ones. Somehow, books three and four snuck out without my knowledge. I'm on my way to buy both of them while I'm patiently waiting for book 6.

Modern day mixed with Greek mythology is the basis for Gemma Brocato’s Goddess series. Hate is the 5th book in this series. Aerie, the goddess of love battles against hate as she also discovers the one true love that she has been missing for centuries. You need to one-click this along with any others by Gemma. If you like paranormal romance, you won’t be disappointed.

I liked this one

Better than previous books because it wasn't the same hero. With abuse so rampant in today's world it was a good theme with a unique undertaking in telling the story... more?
