This is Kirk White's first book and a pretty good one at that. It is definitely not for the beginner. This book isn't for a solitary or coven member specifically but could be for either. Some of the rituals provided are for covens but there are ways of doing them your self too.

Topics covered (mentioned briefly above) include: Creating Sacred Spaces (think you know everything about this already? Think again), Advanced Divination, Deepening the Wheel of the Year, Healing and Spellworking (I loved this chapter, I'm very interested in healing others), Models and Methods of Initiation (I was a little confused on this one since if you are reading an advanced book, you're most likely already initiated or it's solitary equivalent), Deity Work and Divine Possession (personally not for me but seems a very thorough discussion of it considering it's just one chapter in a medium-sized book) and Living the Magickal Life.

I found the chapters on Divination, The Wheel of the Year and Healing the most helpful to me but what's most relevant will change with each individual person. Recommended.

A good book on Wiccan practice, gives you food for thought and inspiration for your own personal practice.
A great book has you rewriting your rituals and reworking the things you thought you had a full understanding of.
This book has done just that. I am so glad I came across this most valuable work.
Some of the contents are way above my own level, but even in these I have found great value, inspiration of what is possible.
I have come away from this with a new perspective on things I thought I new, as well as learning some new techniques and practices.
Previously, I had never given much thought to timing each ritual action to my breath.
Now, having put this into practice, my ritual space has gained a crackling new energy.
This, along with other techniques given by Kirk C. White, has increased my power in the circle quite tremendously.
I can't praise this book highly enough.
A must-read for any practitioner of the Craft of the Wise.

This book covers a lot of ground, and interestingly. It has quick information on complicated subjects, so that you can at least try an experiment out without needing multiple books for information on the topic.
It reminds you of the basics of energy and circle casting, and then goes on to expand the Wheel of the Year Model, and to suggest complimentary work outside the immediate sphere of Wicca, such as Chi Gung, etc.
I like when an author makes connections with other thoughts, outside the usual dominion of the topic.
However, I think this work could, as most any book proclaiming itself non-fiction and technique could, really have been improved by a bibliography. It also strangely gets stuck in plans for dedicating yourself.
