This book introduces the history of non-profit organizations in the US. It stimulates people to think about the responsibilities of wealth. What is the responsibility of wealthy people? (Most average Canadians are in fact among the top 10-20 richest people in the world.) What can WE do (our responsibilities) to help create a society with equal opportunities to succeed? Carnegie said it well: "The man who dies rich, dies disgraced." I really like the part about social entrepreneurship, which is the combination of charity and business. Sounds like a very interesting field I want to go into.
