Jason Delany Baxter-Scott…the fifth. What a terrible name to have to live up to. There is no question in his mind that he’ll never live up to his parents’ expectations. Baxter, as he is known to his friends, is trying, but when his fiancée dumps him, he has less than an hour to find someone to stand in to meet his demanding mother and father. He knew Heather in college, and she recently sent a note, saying she’d moved to New York. It was a dick move, but he invited her for drinks, only to introduce her to his parents as his fiancée.
Heather is still the same free-spirited woman who challenged him to be his own man in California. She’s nothing like the women his parents’ think he should marry, and that makes her forbidden fruit. He admires her for standing up for herself and never backing down. She’s got spunk and a whole lot more that turns him on and leaves him wanting.

Heather Burke doesn’t put up with BS. She’s worked hard to develop a clothing line that sells in her own high-end boutiques. Her style may be quirky, but she’s business savvy and worldly. When Baxter contacts her, she’s in for a drink or two, but when she arrives, and his parents think she’s the fiancée, the night is turned on its end. Baxter told her story after story about how horrible his parents were so she can’t abandon him, but going along in this ruse may just be the end of her.
Back in California, she lost her heart to Baxter, and this fake fiancée stuff may just take her mind too. When he’s not bowing to his parents’ pressure, Baxter is a decent guy, someone she could see herself with for the rest of her life. She just has to convince Baxter he doesn’t need their approval to be a good man.
When the stakes get high, they both are challenged. Can Heather walk away from Baxter, or will she stay and teach him to fight for himself?

Not Her by Julia Bright is part of Kendall Ryan’s Imperfect Love Kindle and in this quick story, Bright introduces readers to a hero in need of fiancee. So when Jason Delany Baxter-Scott the fifth needs a fill in fiancee, he is quick to jump to ask for help from an old college friend, Heather.

Heather immediately fills in the role but to Jason’s parents, she is everything that they don’t imagine for their son since Heather is too independent and sassy for them. As Jason and Heather continues this charade, will Jason discover that Heather is everything that he wants and needs? Is Heather the one?

Since Not Her is a novella expect things to move and progress very quickly. If you are a fan of light romance then this read might be the book for you.

It takes great courage to remain true to one's self, when the odds are stacked against you and there's no faith coming from anybody else. Not Her is a journey toward self respect. It's riddled with wise words, heartbreaking moments and empowering main characters. That's what makes strong minded Heather a great role model for women. She never listens to the naysayers in the world and for that she inspires not just her fictional cast mates but she uplifts readers as well.

What if the wrong girl is the right girl?
In Not Her, Baxter needs fiancée fast. As the fifth Jason Delany Baxter- Scott there some high expectations for him set by his family. He needs to marry the right girl, produce a heir and be prepared to run the family business when his father retires.
However Baxter isn’t that sort of guy and quickly comes apparent when we met Heather , the girl he has been pining over for years. She seems the total opposite of him , but they had a connection once. She is willing to risk things so there something there right ?

A second chance at love is always a winner for me as I love this cliche and it never gets old for me. I loved the twist with this one and enjoy this novella. This was my first book from this author and I couldn’t help getting swept up in things . Heather was feisty but a sweetheart. She didn’t care what people thought and she was refreshing. She was just what Baxter needed if he could figure things out. He had the tools but his parents were so demanding . They really took the cake and could almost be described as villains given their judgement. It was such a sweet ending and I enjoyed this tale . True love will always win.

I think I loved Not Her the best out of all the books in this latest Kindle World series. For some reason this one just made me feel more emotions. I felt the pain from Baxter like it was my own, that feeling of nothing you do is good enough in someone’s eyes, I felt his regret at the time he lost with Heather. I loved how Heather never apologized for being herself and refused to change for anyone. I respected her character and her decisions she made. This was another one I was able to quickly read and I hope maybe in the future we may see more of this couple because they really are my favorites.

Baxter can sometimes have nice intentions, “I want to make sure you get inside safely. And I need to carry your bag.” I enjoyed this novella I fell in love with Baxter, the man could just be so charming at times.

Cute story for this author, it's my first book by her and I loved it, bare in mind it's part of a kindle world so it may seem rushed, but use your imagination and enjoy the story of Baxter & Heather!! It's a second chance love story, don't miss out on this one!
