John Polo thoroughly enjoyed it! As I told you in our facebook pm - I read it in two sittings. I loved - sit down and shut up, the solitude that follows, you’ve changed, don’t call me lucky all are my favorites. A loving tribute to your wife, a glimpse in your love life and journey, a guide for those who have a widow(er) in their life and don’t understand us. Some laughing and some crying. So personal! I am not supposed to be here was a tough one for me to read but thank you for sharing. Great job! #widowposse #strongerthanyouthink

Plain and simple, if you’ve suffered a loss, you need this book. If you know someone who has suffered a loss, get them this book – it will be the best thing you could ever do for them. John’s insight in to what we all go through when we lose someone we love helps to validate our feelings when our worlds have been turned upside down. It helps us to know that we’re not crazy – or maybe we are but it’s okay. The only thing it’s lacking is an index for those days when we’re feeling something so we can go right to the page that we need to read to help us through that stage or moment in our grief but that index would probably be as long as the book. That being said, it’s a quick read that our widow brains can handle and most importantly, need to read. I can’t say it’s an easy read because there’s nothing easy about being a widow(er). Well done, John, well done. Thank you for putting in to words all the feels I can have at any given moment in this journey.

Every widow should read this. It captures all our thoughts completely. It's the friend you need, the friend that understands 100 percent what you're feeling.
