Last book of the series.. and now I totally understand what happened in Adelaide's book!
Probably should of read this series before that.. but I didn't.
No regrets!

Winter's War was.. about war basically. Lots and lots of death. ONE in particular was going to crush me but then it was kind of redeemed. Then the whole adelaide thing and that little info bomb just made me happy!

Winter is now queen to a shit ton of people that I honestly lost track. I have no idea how this whole queen thing works - does she go to each area ever so often? Who knows, cause I don't. Winter and her mates (who happen to be Kings) are preparing for one big ass war. Of course there some characters that come back into this book, like: the dragon from book 3 and the demon king.

Once Winter was kidnapped by the demon king, I was actually surprised that it didn't take her mates the entire book to find her and save the world. They didn't it pretty early on and that's why I ended up loving them all. Other than them, I love Alex and I was so happy about her little news. It sucked that they were in the middle of a war and she definitely had the right to be upset about what was happening to her - but in the end, it all worked out.

Overall, I loved this book and now I can't wait for the next book in adelaide's series. Mostly because of what was said at the end. I want Winter's true happiness with her mates to happen - so I'm freaking excited!

Winter and her mates are preparing for war. Dabriel is crowned as King of the Angels and what is left of their race moves into the castle with the other supernaturals. Winter also

This was a decent conclusion to the series. Things came together, more or less as expected. I kind of thought that ending to the war was a little off somehow. It wasn't necessarily anticlimactic, but it also wasn't as intense as I expected - somewhere in between I guess. I'm not disappointed, but I was left a little unsatisfied.

If nothing else, I am more excited to read the rest of Adelaide's story. I want to know how Winter has prepared to mess with Lily's plans, etc. I hope the next book in that series comes out soon.

Oh My Snowflakes

How I absolutely and so sincerely love this series ♡♡♡ Winter and her four kings sure have a forever tucked in place residing within my heart. I find that I want to read the novels again from start to finish just so that I may revisit these special and superbly detailed characters. The manner in which Ms. Bailey weaves her tales is so utterly and so blindly captivating that she so easily captures your heart and mind. This talented Goddess of the Quill surely is fulling her destiny ♡♡♡♡ I'm both overjoyed and devastated that this book adventure has ended. There were so many beloved characters and I literally was crying my heart out in that last chapter! I could not have dreamed up a more marvelous conclusion to this epic love story... no matter your take on the whole RH genre, you should really invest your time and heart in these four breathtaking novels ♡

Winter's War brings us to the end of the Her Guardian series. It is a worthy conclusion. War has come. The damage will be great, the price high. The prophecy will be met with Winter and her four Kings, Jaxson, Wyatt, Dabrial, and Atti.

This series has been wonderful. Winter has grown from a normal student into the Queen she was destined to be. She's more mature and thoughtful, and a physical threat. She has found forever-love with four strong, remarkable men who will be the Kings each of their people need. She has lost people close to her along this journey, but she still has her "sister" Alex and has gained a few other close female friends. Plus she still has her adorable, costume-wearing little demon, Milo. I adore this little guy! There's plenty of action and loss in this book; the Demon King is a formidable opponent. However, Winter and her Kings are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep the people and their family safe and to secure the future for all. Wonderful ending to a great adventure!

Fantastic ending to a fantastic series. The twist at the end was perfect and exactly what needed to happen. I would love to find out what kind of mixed breed Josh is.

I should’ve stopped after book 1

Book one was OK. It was good enough to buy book two. By the third book I lost interest. But I was so far into the series, I thought I should finish it. I regret it. I probably should’ve gave up midway through the series.

Spoiler alert

One of the big things I hate is when things don’t make sense in the book that really has a big impact. The main character makes an unfortunate pact with the Fray queen. The pact was that winter would receive soldiers and weapons to defeat the enemy. Because the enemy could only but be destroyed by Fray weapons. Winter did not know how to kill a demon. And her and one of her mates Researched through the books and found that only a Fray weapon is the only thing to kill a demon. But throughout the book, angels, Vampires, shifters and some witches could kill demons with their own gifts. And it had nothing to do with special weapons from the Fray. Why would winter make a terrible deal for an army of weapons and soldiers? It just doesn’t make sense. If all she needed was one weapon to kill the demon king, then why wasn’t that the deal ?

Another thing I didn’t like was that this is supposed to be the final book. However, it doesn’t talk about her fulfilling her part of the Fray bargain. I know there is another spinoff series for winter’s daughter that is supposed to take place 10 years down the line. Am I supposed to wait through another whole series to find out something that should’ve been completed in the series? No thank you.

Also, towards the end, it got really really cliché and cheesy. They had a “braveheart” speech included that made me wanna roll my eyes, but I couldn’t because I had to keep reading. I seriously think she even yelled about freedom.

I really wanted to write a review about a brand new series that I enjoyed and I could recommend to others. But it just fizzled out towards the end. And I’m really disappointed. And I hope that you don’t go down this rabbit hole.

I say I'd give this book 4.5 stars. I loved everything about this book. It was too short for me. I wanted it to be longer for the war to play out more and for things to come together better in my mind. That is the reason I gave this book 4.5 stars instead of 5.

I knew that the dragon was going to come and fuck shit up to help Winter in her war. But like I got like three seconds of dragon! WTF type of shit is that?! When Winter saved him and let him go I was expecting him to come and help. That was a given. But like literally three seconds of the dragon fight. I was so damn excited for that part of the war and I got three fucking seconds! WTF. -.-

I am so happy that everyone got a HAE. :D

I really liked this book. I thought that it was a perfect ending for this great series. I went through a roller coaster of emotions while reading this book. There were definitely a a few tears. While some were happy tears, most were sad. We got to meet some new characters from new races while also getting to see the end of Winter's story. I liked the new characters and I am interested to see where they will come into play later.
G. Bailey has announced that there will be a spin-off of this series called Her Fates. I can't wait to read it and find out where all of my favorite characters from this series will be ten years later. I have a feeling that some of Adelaide's mates are going to be some characters that we know and love from this story. My guesses are Freddy, Josh, Mich, and Nathaniel even though I could be very wrong. Even if Adelaide's mates are completely different people, I hope to see Freddy and his friends in the spin-off.
While this isn't my favorite reverse harem series, I really liked it. I enjoyed my time reading it and I think it was time well spent. This series is definitely worth the read and I will treasure it always. I look forward to reading the spin-off and more of G. Bailey's books in the future.

Wow! What an explosive end to an awesome series. I have been hooked on this series since book one, and this is a thrilling conclusion

Winter has a lot to deal with, her dreams are giving her more information, her relationships with her men get more loving, and Winter is gaining more confidence in herself and her powers

With excitement danger Romance and twists and turns, it is an awesome read but bittersweet in thatnit is the last in this series

Great end to the series!

The 4th and final book in the Her Guardians series was definitely worth the wait. The book picks up right where we left off in Book 3 with Winter missing and demons everywhere.

So much happened in this book and Ms. Bailey did a wonderful job of not making it feel rushed. a couple parts had me crying the tears just running down my face. The strength of these characters and the words they share at critical moments makes them so real that you have actively remind yourself that these are not real people.

So many answers revealed, new allies made and where is Milo getting all of his clothes?!?! Take all of this plus a ton of action, sweet and sexy times with her mates and a truly amazing ending and you get a great conclusion to this series!

Must read!

What a great ending to the series!
G. Bailey has created such an amazing world filled with love, family and friends! Vampires witches and wolves, all in one in a epic love story!
It all begins when winter finds a wolf injured near her apartment, turning into a young boy that brings her into the supernatural world learning her destiny.
Four hunky lovers each so different from one another!
Do all of them make it to the end you'll have to read the last in the series to find out!

Love love love!!! This is a perfect ending to this series!!! There are twists and turns. Winter is super awesome and really comes into her own in this final installment. I love everything about it. There was a perfect setup for a spin off series so I don’t feel so empty at the end. I hope to see Winter and her men in the future!!

Waaaarning! Some spoilers and gushing read at your own risk!

I cried...I actually friggin cried! Damn you Bailey!!!!! Jk...sorta..maybe. I finished the book this morning. I grabbed the box set off kindle unlimited so that I could read them all without having to change books but wanted to do my review on the final book instead of the box set. This series it had it's ups and downs for me. There was very few editing errors in the box set and I was very grateful for that, the few that were there were easy enough to make out what was intended. I just got into reverse harem books and fell in love, I mean seriously what woman wouldn't want multiple men who truly love her...and are happy to share with the others in the relationship. The sex scenes....were rather lacking for me. I liked that they weren't constantly banging but when they do I want deeetaaaails woman (and this is coming from someone who prefers to read YA paranormal books because there is less sex lol). I am so glad that this book (and it's the first I've read like it) didn't have some severely abused and broken girl as the main character...like seriously why does she have to be so broken to be able to want multiple men huh??? Winter is a goof, a horrible flirt, a clutz, is self conscious, loyal, so very strong when she needs to be, wisdom that grows through out the books to make her worthy of the title True Queen. She puts her men in their places when they need to be just as they put her in hers when she needs it. My favorite character and one I wish we saw much more of is simple...Milo and his amazing sense of fashion :P. I was so sad when Winter's mom died...she was such an amazing woman to do what she did and I am glad her and Winter made up and Winter didn't hold any grudges. It broke my heart when Freddy wanted to refuse being crowned the heir of the vampires because he knew if Winter had a child that child would come first. But I don't think Winter would do that to him, I think that even though she only knew him for a short time she loved him as much as a mother could love a child that came from their own womb. I like to think that Winter would not push him beneath the children to come. I started tearing up when Wyatt was stabbed...I had to put my phone down for a few. I mean I knew it would be him after the second book but I really hoped there was another way. But when Freddy ran in screaming for his dad that little bit of tearing up turned into a full blown sob lol no point lying because I know damn well I'm not the only one. I've always complained about books and movies how the good guys always win and the bad guys some how lose no matter how powerful they are..this is one of the first where I am so glad that the good guys won and her and her loved ones made it through because they all had lost so much that I was worried this was going to turn into GoT. I had to sit there for almost half an hour just thinking after I finished the book it's one of those books that make me feel as if I've lost a good friend by reading that last page. I saw in one of the reviews someone talking about a spin off. I really hope there is one and that is still has all of these guys as I know that it will involve Adelaide. But I maybe the next generation where Freddy and all his friends are almost grown, Winter and all the girls have all the children they want and more importantly Milo has to be there....never mind because I just went past Bailey's links and stuff in the book and found the bonus epilogue scenes lmao. Don't blame me! I'm pregnant and was emotional at the end the book hmmph. Anyways I highly recommend this series as it was amazing.

Great Ending

I read this series in one shot, not taking the time to write reviews for the first three books because of the need to know what happens next so this is more of a series review than one for just this book.

If you're looking for the sort of reverse harem filled with kinky sex scenes this isn't that sort of book. There's one group sex scene in the whole series and like all of the rest of those type of scene in the book, it has little detail and is a lot more like a fade to black kind of scene than your typical descriptive romance sex. That said I really liked the way that was done. There's so much plot here that long descriptive sex scenes would have detracted from rather than added to the story. I actually really loved that Bailey wrote a reverse harem without a massive focus on sex as that seems to be rare. The bits she offered were well done and tasteful and the unique relationship between the 5 romance leads was logical as their relationship united five kingdoms to win a war. I say five because this final book introduces so many halflings that they're really a kingdom of their own, despite not having an official king.

The setting here is rich with history and I loved the glimpses of the past brought to is through Winters dreams. Unraveling the mysteries of who she is and what her destiny is my favorite parts of the story. The plot was extremely entertaining and had me in the edge of my seat from beginning to end. That said, the love stories could have used a but more attention as the jump between strangers who weren't necessarily pleasant to be around to 'I love you' was abrupt and a little hard to believe. I'd have loved a longer story that gave these interactions more attention without taking space from the overall plot.

The story could have also used a little more detail and consistency in Winters fight scenes. In some she's dropping dragons in their tracks and knocking out hordes of demons with a push of her magic, in others she's screaming like a girl and disarmed in seconds, playing tug of war like an untrained fighter trying to keep her weapons. It was never really clear if she was truly strong or weak. Additionally she seemed to accept the transition from college kid to queen too easily and gracefully. Destiny or not it seems like it would be harder than that to take it all in.

Overall I loved the series and careful way Bailey set up for the spin off series to come. Definitely recommended.

I enjoyed it, even though the juvenile writing I mentioned in the last book's review was still present. Honestly, I feel like this author has great story ideas and characters, and would just benefit SOOOOOO much from an editor. Not just to polish up the writing, but also to help her see where she needs to build things out a bit more. Huge climactic moments happen so fast - like, in 2 pages - that they lose weight and depth. It's a good series, and I enjoyed it. But I feel like it could have been so much more.

There's also some loose ends, but they aren't major. Just open questions:

- Who is Josh? Seems related to the Fray god of death, from the hints we got from Lucifer.

- What happened between the goddess and the demon king? I mean, did he ever love her? We know she loved him, and they were on/off in their relationship - she was with him, then they split and she got with her 4 mates, and then she got with him again. What happened? What drove the on/off? Was she just the short-sighted woman in love with the man who was no good for her? Or was there real depth and emotion to their relationship, real care, and it didn't work out? I feel like it's kind of a biig deal to leave open, because ... well honestly, if there was real love there, and then Elissa just decided to hide his baby ... did she drive everything that happened? Like, some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy? Did he really want a relationship with his family? Or was he just 2-dimensionally evil? What did he want? Was it really just ... this boring desire to burn down the world, like a cartoon villain? Why?

*shrug*

What a wonderful ending to this amazing series by G. Bailey.
I fell in love with Winter in the very first book, and my love for her grew deeper with each book in this series. She is strong, independent, witty, and stubborn. The love she has for her guys is a driving force in this series, G. Bailey uses this to weave bits of sunshine and happiness through a gripping tale about a prophecy and those destine to fulfil it.
Winter’s guys are all strong, funny, and sexy as hell; however that is where the similarities end. Jaxon is gruff, sarcastic, and protective. His love for Winter is something that sneaks up on him. Atti is flirty and fun. He is full of cheesy lines but his love for Winter is deep. Dabriel is smart and level headed. Wyatt is protective and mysterious.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the final installment to this series. G. Bailey did a fantastic job of tying lose ends as always. I am continually impressed by this author’s ability to transport you to another world.

I was dreading seeing this series end, but cannot wait for the 2nd Generation books ❤️

I finally understand what all the hype is all about for G Bailey’s series, Her Guardians!! This was an amazing series and I am so sad to see it end, but absolutely loved every second of it. I really fell in love with Winter, her mates, and all the side characters. The things leading up to the ultimate battle were amazing, and how Winter got everyone to work together was the moment she finally took the crown and took the world by storm. I don’t want to give anything away, just know you need to read this story and you will not be disappointed with the way the story is finished.

I do have to say, I wanted to know what happened to some of my favorite characters during the battle, but that was just a minor thing. I also wish we could have seen some of the familiars during the battle, and more about the protector who showed up to help. I also hope Milo gets a mate, his own story. Excited to see what G Bailey will do with this amazing world, and future books with our favorite characters 😊

There is a lot of RH out there now. I find myself starting a RH series and then if I like it, I read through whatever is out assuming I don't run into a stumbling block. At some point, I generally end up having to wait for the next book. Then one of two things happen, I either recapture the magic quickly in the next book, or I wonder what I found intriguing in the first place.

This was one of the latter. Really it started with the previous book, but it continued here. First, the possession by the demon king. Then the mates saving the day also in the prophecy so everyone knew was coming. We continue with the pattern of demon attacks on a place where she hasn't been crowned yet. Gets crowned, mates with that male. Winter's relationship with her males mostly felt stale and samey to me and the steamy scenes mostly fell flat with one exception. At one point I just skipped to the end how the prophecy of the sacrifice ends then made myself go back and read the rest. The sacrifice at least was interesting along with a plot point about halfs. The fae part was predictable with a bit of a twist and sets up the next series, which I am not sure I have any interest in.

This was a fantastic ending to a great series!!!! It was an emotional roller coaster reading this book – Winter and her Kings bring together all supernaturals – Werewolves, Vampires, Witches, and Angels that are not only working together but living and training together as they prepare for the war that is knocking on their door. Most of the book is watching them prepare for the war. The final battle scene had made my heart temporarily stop as I watched (well read) the scene unfold and the truth behind the prophecy is finally revealed. I love how strong Winter has become from the first book as she becomes the Queen that she was destined to be. She becomes so sure of herself and her Men more so in this book than the others. It really was a perfect conclusion to this series – just wish it didn’t have to end!

Fantastic ending!

Fantastic ending! I listened to the first three books on audible and loved being brought into the world but had to read the final book myself. Which didn't take away from the story but I wished I could listen to them all.
Winter is entering into the final days before the big showdown in the war against the demon king. She knows that the prophecy says that someone has to die so she has chosen that it will be her.
The witches, angels, vampires and wolf shifters come together for safety and to fight. We also learn about another group of supernaturals that have hidden away as well as the Fey.
If you love paranormal stories that contain reverse harems you will fall i love with this group. The stories contain love and loss, friendships and betrayals, good and evil, and so much more.
