This was a very poignant romance
between Alex, a wealthy self made businessman and Lydia, a seamstress and fashion designer. Although these two had intense sexual chemistry, they had different backgrounds and life goals that made them unsuitable. Very well written, engaging and well paced. Hadn't ever read any of this author' other books and was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend it. The author is British which was a plus for me.

Palate cleanser after Artemis.
I feel like having England as your setting is an easy way to get over the 'why don't they just talk to each other' part of being irritated at a manufactured plot issue that isn't really an issue.

Appikene. Parim raamat mida olen lugenud Ajaloolise romaani sarjast.
Alates esimesest lehest kiskus kaasa kõik Lydia ja Alexi loole.
Autori poolt uskumatu üles ehitus ja see põnevus.

The story was okay-ish; the dialogs were too long and redundant.

"An intriguing and uncommon opening will have readers wondering what could possibly happen next to bring the hero and heroine together, but Dixon expertly brings the tangled pieces of the plot together to satisfy her readers. The likable characters and the obstacles they overcome enhance the love story and make the HEA that much richer" (4 stars @ RT Book Reviews).
