Seeran never lost control. Responsible for the security of his clan and warlord, he couldn't afford distraction or attachment. Then, on a Terran beach, he stumbled upon a male assaulting a female. The ice that ran through his veins turned to fire. The frightened female is his mate.
Whatever control he'd possessed snapped in a moment of recklessness, and he hoped that was all he'd lost.
Hazel shouldn't desire the terrifying alien. She'd just escaped a disastrous marriage with a violent man, so how could she fall for a growling soldier who punched first and asked questions later? Why did his arms feel like the safest place in the universe?
Her gut said to trust Seeran, but her intuition had failed her so many times before.
Nancey writes fun, fast and flirty scifi romances featuring feisty heroines and out-of-this-world heros. Nancey lives in an old house with her husband and two cats who have complaints with management. When she’s not writing, she enjoys video games, horror movies and anything involving time travel.
It started off good but I didn’t like how it progressed. I hated how Paax treated Seeran, he didn’t even try to understand why Seeran did what he did. Seeran was only trying to protect Hazel which is one of their alien laws. Paax was more likeable in the first book but recently he’s been acting like the old warlord.
After the rescue the plot went downhill and Hazel felt like a burden to Seeran and I didn’t like them together anymore. I also don’t understand why Hazel and Mia would be so stupid to try and save Cen, an abusive traitor considering what Hazel went through before. Paax was more lenient toward Cen than Seeran which made no sense.

Hazel leaned on the railing, listening to the ocean on her day off, and thinking about her marriage that ended 3 months before. She had married Scott and was so happy. She never noticed how her friends dropped away, or how she only was allowed out with him to shop or run errands. Then he started complaining that the house was not clean enough and he deserved a hot dinner; yet nothing was ever good enough and he yelled at her for her failures. He bumped into her frequently, causing her to fall; and the bumps got harder. When she ended up in the hospital, she finally left him. Now she watched the beach to see if the handsome magenta-colored Mahdfel warrior would jog by as he did every day.
As she and her friend Polly watched the beach and chatted, Hazel heard a familiar, hated voice. Scott had found her somehow. He was going to force her to return home with him.
Seeran was totally bored, which is why he ran as often as he could on the beach, to challenge himself. He had to guard the pilot’s wife while they were on Earth, but he didn’t particularly like the planet. It was too humid, having so much water on its surface. And the people talked too much but had nothing of value to say. But he scented a smell in the air – his mate?? And he saw a man hurt her wrist. He grabbed the man but could not communicate with him, his translator only allowed him to understand but did not translate his words. The man continued to harass Hazel and grab her, so Seeran punched him. With his own security responsibilities for his clan and interrogation skills, Seeran was able to turn the tables on the cop who was determined to wrongfully keep him locked up, causing the police watching through the one-way mirror to recognize his innocence and release him.
Hazel decided to run again while Scott was still locked up. But she just couldn’t leave without talking to the alien and thanking him. Seeran shared coffee with her and held on to these memories of her as he allowed her to leave and escape her cruel ex-husband. Would she get out of town in time? Where could she hide?
I really enjoyed this book! The main characters were very likable and I kept hoping things would work out for them. Unfortunately Scott is all too familiar a type -- cruel, egotistical, and protected by his wealth; so there was always the threat that he would keep after Hazel until he seriously harmed her. Would he go after her again? Or could Hazel find a happy life far, far away – and maybe find out how a real mate treats the one he loves? I was given a copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. My comments reflect my honest opinion. I can’t wait to read the next one!
Title: Seeran - Warlord Brides - Warriors of Sangrin Book 6 Author: Nancey Cummins & Starr Huntress Publisher: Menura Press Published: 9-26-2017 Pages: 205 Genre: Science Fiction Sub-Genre: Fantasy, Space Travel, Paranormal, Aliens, Suspense, Erotic, ADULT Fiction, First Contact, Space Fleet ASIN: B075YPGGJ6 Reviewed For Myself Reviewer: DelAnne Rating: 4.75 Stars
Strictly for Readers over the age of 18 - contains graphic sexual scenes & a little strong language.
That being said it is also done tastefully. And the strong language is minor compared with some scenes and languages in other novels. There is some physical violence but gratuitous. This novel is a story of romance and an alpha male trying to keep his true mate safe even to the point of sacrificing himself.
Seeran is in Florida to help another Sangrin, Vox, keep his mate safe and finds his mate unexpectedly while running on the beach. When he sees Hazel being assaulted and verbally abused by a man he steps between them to stop it. His heart nearly stops when he hears the man call her his wife. He believes his true mate already belongs to another until Rachel announces he is her ex and that Scott is violating a restraining order. When the police do nothing to protect Hazel from her ex, Seeran delivers his on brand of justice and banished from Earth forever. That is all in the first few chapters. Just wait till you find out how they come together again, he steals her away to keep her safe, a traitor, an unexpected friendship and an enemy attack. Things heat up in every way possible and the unraveling of all the threads lead to one terrific read. This is the best of the series yet. I don't know how they do it but the style gets better with each new story.
My rating of "Seeran - Warlord Brides - Warriors of Sangrin Book 6" is 4.75 out of 5 stars..

Xxx scenes are throughout the later part of the book. Adults only! Loved💘 the book📚! I have read all of this series📚 and highly recommend it to lovers💘 of Sci-fi erotic romance. This book📚 has a well thought out plot and the story is more involved than some of the others.
Hazel has an ex husband that is cruel and nasty and every time she thinks he carnt find her he does, while sitting outside waiting for this hot alien man to jog past which he does everyday she hears a voice calling her and knows straight away that he found her again after calling her whore and demanding she cover up she tells him to leave he grabs her and is hurting her arm when the alien steps between them and demands he let her go no one will touch his fated mate but he is told that he can touch his wife anytime and to butt out but the alien doesn’t listen and to the man a throws him to the ground, just then the police are called and all hell breaks loose and the alien and hazel are taken to the station for questioning while on the way she asked his name he tells her it’s seeran, so once it’s all sorted they go to get coffee together she feels safe with him and tells him about how her ex use to hurt her and he tells her of his dead wife, seeran wants to protect his mate and goes after her ex and gives him back what he did to her and he is crying like a baby. What will happen now, will she be safe, will they get together read this book to find out, I love the whole series. I voluntarily read an arc copy of this book for an honest review. Thanks Karen N
Seeran was head of security for his clan. They had a traitor on the ship and he needed to find him. Pilot Vox and his mate have business on Earth, Seeran was ordered by the warlord to go as well to ensure the mates safety. Seeran was bored, used to being busy always, so he ran on the beach every day, several times a day. He didn't mind the people, just didn't like the earth. Hazel was working as a waitress. She'd finally divorced her nasty husband Scott, he refused to accept this, so a few months ago she'd moved away and got a job. Seeran couldn't believe it, he could smell his mate, when his eyes found Hazel, she was being attacked by Scott, not for long though. Another excellent book from this author, also the last of the 6 book series, ho hum. It has loads of action and I was sorry to finish. But there is what seems to be either a prequel or continual series of 2 books called Warlord Brides Index so know my next 2 reads. Sue P
This story is a complex one, starting with the storyline of Hazel, our heroine, hiding from her exhusband after running away from her abusive marriage. While waiting tables in Florida, she spends her breaks watching the blue alien warrior running down the sands of the Florida beach. The blue aliens had saved Earth from attacks by another alien group and now many resided on Earth, marrying human women. Serena, the alien on the beach saves Hazel from an attack by her exhusband and subsequently marries her. But all does not go smoothly for our couple. There are many twists and turns that make their relationship strained. But the couple's love is strong and they manage to survive. You must read the book to fully understand how they were able to get to their HEA.
Hazel married the wrong guy in order to avoid the Mahdfel Bride Draft. Years later, she has finally excaped her abusive ex-husband and now the large colorful aliens don't seem so bad. Seeran meets his fated mate on the planet he hates the most: earth. A series of poor decisions risks separating the two forever. But Hazel isn't weak and neither is Seeran. They will both literally fight through an army of Suhlik invaders to save each other.
This is my absolute favorite of the Mahdfel series and side series (and I've read most of them at this point). Their meet cute was the best one of the series. Their personalities are refreshingly different from the other characters. I found myself laughing, squealing, and sighing throughout the whole thing.
The summary up to this point: Abusive control freaks meet women who loves to obey every single command barked to her. (talking about the heroine an the femal side kick) I was so disgusted by both the Madfehl and the human women that I could not bring myself to read one more page in this book. There was violence without a point; a justice system without laws, rules or rights; a hero ignorant to the hopes, wishes and needs of his wife who thinks taking care of his mate is like taking care of a pet. Last but not least we have a warlord who personally beats the shit out of his officier without even giving him the chance to explain or defend himself.
I have to mute my inner feminist when I read these books, because some parts of it make her start muttering and flaying about. It's all about choices, and since Hazel likes being a home executive I'm happy to read about her falling in love and the trials and tribulations of making it work in an alien world. It's the "allow" in "I will allow my mate to work" that gets the IF (inner feminist) going, working woman or home body, it's her choice, her life, and her decision, nothing that should need permission from anyone. But I enjoyed this story, as I have all the others and I'm really looking forward to more.
Seeran is on Earth to help protect Vox’s mate. With nothing to do Seeran has taken up running on the beach. One day while running he smells something that draws him in when investigating he fines a woman being nam handle and step between her and the man only to find out she’s his mate. But also to find out she was married to this man. This crush’s his hopes until she explains that guy is her ex. Now he knows he needs to protect her. But what he does get him into trouble. And for her to escape her ex she signs up for the brides program. So enjoy the read and see what happens with these two!!
I struggled with this installment the most, which is funny seeing as I rushed to read it because of its particular storyline. I really did not like the Madfehl's culture of 'protecting the women' and 'you must obey your husband.'
Can't remember if this is clearly stated but I'm 90% sure this is supposed to be set in the future so the clear gender inequality and misogynistic ways of the Madfehl felt a little too contrasting for my liking except the author thinks we're still going to be dealing with misogyny 100 years from now.
Also, I found Hazel gullible and annoying. I know I know, she was abused for years, and her ex was a creepy stalker but the way she was written was aggravating.
I have been enjoying this series and this one is no exception. Seeran is one of those alien males you like right from the start. He's a very protective sort of guy, especially when it comes to the woman he finds is his mate. Even though he is all kinds of alpha male, he doesn't force this issue on her and let's things just play out how he thinks they will. Things are still not easy and fall into place for this couple. There are plenty of snags that had me turning the pages quickly. I look forward to more stories from this author. *I was gifted and ARC for an honest review*
Love all the Mahdfel books. Warriors if Sangrin are my favorites. Hazel seemed to always be in trouble whether it was on Earth with her ex or in space with a friend. She then caused a lot of problems for Seeran because he lost the control that he was known for. Because of this he lost face with his warlord commander and other Sangrin. There is also the underlying story of the traitor who is in contact with the Suhlik. Overall an interesting story. Looking forward to more stories by this author.
Another good book in the Warriors of Sangrin series. In this story Seeran meets his mate, Hazel a waitress on a beach with a crazy ex-husband she was running from. I thought it was a fun quick read great for work. Not overly full of sex but emphasis on emotions and Hazel taking a chance after her ex-husband. Plus a few others from the previous books randomly show up. A few scenes were really funny. I like what I have read of the other books in the series and found this one to be just as fun to read if you want a light-hearted scifi romance.
A stoic alien warrior and a damsel in distress -- the makings of a great romance!
I enjoyed not only the personalities of both characters but the dynamic between them. They were the perfect example of opposites attract, and I don't just mean because one is a human and one's from another planet.
If you're looking for an alien romance with steamy scenes, drama, and a quick romance, Seeran is a good choice. It kept me entertained and I didn't want to put it down.
The thing I disliked most is the cover. It looks too much like 90% of all the other alien romance covers on Amazon.
This is so much fun, the comic relief from the cultural differences is great. Seeran really can't wait to leave earth, until he meets Hazel, and then all he wants to do is protect her. Good thing she wants him too because when he has words with her ex, well he has to leave the planet. From there it's full speed ahead while he submits to his warlord and then foils a traitor on the ship.
I received an ARC of this story and have chose to voluntarily review it here.
Hazel had been through a lot with an abusive ex-husband who continued to harass and follow her after their divorce. Seeran was on one of his daily runs on the beach on earth when he spotted a human male grab Hazel who he immediately recognized as his mate. He runs to her to protect her and punches the ex-husband. It isn't long before they get together and go back to Seeran's ship but it is some time before they become mates. It was worth the wait for them.
Wow what a interesting and entertaining book. Even though this is the first book in the series that I have read I wasn't confused with anything that was going on. I will be definitely be checking out the other books in this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Everyone sacrifices and it would appear Hazel married just to avoid being matched with an alien. Although divorced now her ex just will not let her be. In steps an alien she has been admiring from a far. Now the real adventure begins. This story is funny and romantic with enough excitement to keep on the edge of your seat. Can't get enough of this series.
I wish I could give 1/2 stars, because this is more a 3.5. I enjoyed the story overall, but there were a few points that I didn't particularly like. I didn't like that Seeran got punished for what he did, as he and Hazel were already technically married and he was protecting his mate. Other than that, a good addition to the series.
Hazel is an entertaining character who is on the run from her cruel ex and is waitressing to pay her living expenses. Then Scott her ex finds her and becomes physical. Seeran, who is on a run, hears the altercation and comes to the rescue. Romance and more situations arise.
I loved the Warlord series,(this is one too) but these books were on another platform that I worked hard on to read, (purchased by $ and time with stupid long ads) and now, I can't read them there anymore but have to BUY them to be able to read again on kindle. It why 2 stars. I've reread several repeatedly, but now I have to start from scratch? Great author, but I'm not sure I like how she does business. There's nothing like giving your loyal readers the bird. I wouldn't mind buying them on Kindle in addition to having them on the other platform, but I think this is crap.
The first 2/3rd was really good but the last part wasn't as enjoyable. It wasn't bad it just wasn't as good. Overall the characters were good, even the bad guy (not the bad race) wasn't all that bad. I'm definitely enjoying this series. ***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
Excellent book!! The warriors are someday and I love their mates! They are smart and tough. Hazel fled from a bad marriage and her ex can't let her be. She meets Seeran when he stands up for her. Sparks fly! Loved it! Lots of action and steam.
Seeran: Warlord Brides (Warriors of Sangrin Book 6)]] omg loved it alot. a wonderful world full of hot hunky men and feisty women. wonderful writers. fully developed characters. highly recommend. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book
Thus far I have not found this series to be one of my favorites, however, I really enjoyed this book. A sassy but very vonerable herione and an in insightful alpha male, if you like romance sifi this is a good choice.
This book is just as exciting and interesting as the previous books? It holds your attention from beginning to end? Has plenty of action, adventure, and steamy romance with awesome characters? A must buy series and keep them coming.yeT
One punch and she was done, the alien intervened and took on her stalking ex. That was it she had to have him but signing up didn't guarantee anything. The rocky start and traitors in board delay their joining but all is set right in the end.
